I celebrated my birthday yesterday at M.&H. What can I say? I'll start with the kindness, friendliness, and professionalism of Stefania and the entire staff! Everyone was wonderful! The food and service were excellent, with homemade pinsas made with a light, crispy dough, loved by all my guests and myself. Upon request (days in advance), gluten-free options were also available, which we took advantage of, starting with the homemade nachos! A flawless and successful evening, a top-notch atmosphere, and a superb birthday party on the veranda with excellent customer service. We'll be back. Thanks Stefania! L.

It's been a regular stop every time I come to Bologna for a few years now. Delicious food and an excellent selection of beers. It feels like home. An evening here makes you forget the tiredness accumulated during the day. See you on our next trip to Bologna! Daniele from Milan

I was at the Malt & Hops a little while ago, a real English pub, in terms of scenery in all respects, a great gratitude to Stefania as well as the owner and her staff. They were really nice and attentive. I can only write that I was happy.

I decided to host my graduation party here, and it was a great choice. All the guests, but especially me, were happy, well-served, and given excellent advice throughout the evening. Since we moved to the area, this has been our go-to pub. We come here regularly to enjoy the great atmosphere and music, accompanied, of course, by a good cold beer and amazing burgers. 17/05/2026: It's easy to write a review when you've eaten truly well and don't feel like you've wasted your money, even if the bill isn't typical of a trattoria. Given that I probably ate my tastiest sliced ​​steak in 40 years of traveling, I'd only make two minor observations, which should be taken as suggestions and not criticisms. When serving a tasting plate of assorted cheeses, it's always a good idea to indicate where to start; it's not always easy for the diner to understand. Since this is a family dinner on a Saturday night, there's no rush, and it's not a place with shifts, it's not a good idea to limit your appetizer intake because the first course is arriving and you'll eat it a little cold. No one's chasing us, but I can understand why some diners prefer the assembly line. In any case, we'll be back soon, and very willingly.
