08/07/2025: Total disappointment: very high bill and undisclosed prices I discovered this place by chance. From the outside, with the sign "home cooking," it gave the impression of a simple restaurant with good food and reasonable prices. Unfortunately, the experience was anything but. As soon as we sat down, the waiter—who was otherwise kind and friendly—informed us that the menus were "in print," so it wasn't possible to see the prices of individual dishes. This was already a bit opaque. We trusted him and, on the waiter's recommendation, ordered: • prosciutto and mozzarella for two, • an Italian fried dish (2 eggplant meatballs, 6 seaweed fritters, 2 fried artichokes, 2 small potato croquettes), • 2 tomato bruschettas, • 2 first courses (ravioli with mushrooms and walnuts), • 1 Coke Zero and 1 bottle of water. The bill? 90 euros for two, without wine, without fish, or dessert! And everything was served on plastic garden chairs and a table. I was happy to have found such a promising, informal place, but the exorbitant bill completely changed my mind. A real shame. By the way, the lack of a menu with prices isn't legal: by law, customers must be able to see the price before ordering. I should have complained, but I preferred to leave and never return.

11/05/2025: In questo posto mi hanno detto che si mangia molto bene. Peccato che non posso confermarlo e lasciare una buona recensione perché siamo stati praticamente messi in condizione di andare via. Parcheggio tenuto malissimo e sporchissimo. Capisco che sia un posto bucolico ma farci parcheggiare nella 💩. Entriamo e chiediamo il tavolo che avevamo chiesto un mese prima. La signora si presenta con un foglio con su scritto “da confermare” confermando semplicemente che ci aveva riconosciuto e quindi stava solo aspettando di dirci che non ci aveva riservato il tavolo cosa che poteva fare quando l’abbiamo chiamata prima di arrivare al locale e invece ci ha fatto arrivare lì inutilmente causandoci solo un inutile disagio. Vorrei dire a questi signori che non oltre alla buona cucina esiste anche il saper campare e il sapersi comportare e per fortuna esistono tanti altri locali in cui andare che ci hanno accolto a braccia aperte ed avevano il ristorante pieno. Non ho pranzato qui e credo di essermi salvato perché il servizio è la professionalità sono stati pessimi prima ancora di sederci!!!

25/03/2025: Cozy historic public place from the 50s/60s... very large with rooms where you can have breakfast and have an excellent coffee and much more ☕ the owner and the staff who work there are very friendly and polite... worth visiting, I highly recommend it.

11/04/2025: Super welcoming, warm and familiar place. There are many choices on the menu, the portions are generous and the dishes tasty. Good range of beers available. The owner also has a very nice aperitif/winery/cocktail place nearby, that one was closed but upon request they still made us a noteworthy White Russian!!

13/12/2024: Very well-kept pub in one of the most characteristic alleys of Benevento. The selection of beers offered is truly remarkable, the idea of ​​the monitor with its relative ranking is nice. The proposed menu is also very good, with raw materials used of excellent quality. The only criticism I feel I must express is the excessive slowness in the preparation: before being able to eat you have to wait quite a while, perhaps too much.

However, the prices are quite high for what is offered: the proposals are average and not particularly original compared to other pubs in the area. It wasn't an entirely bad experience, but we would have expected something more.

09/03/2025: A point of reference in Benevento for those looking for a pub. Small and warm place, the guys are nice and efficient. The menu is small but with well-chosen and original dishes. Most of the fried foods are made by them (which is now difficult in pubs). Well done guys count like this

15/06/2025: Un posto meraviglioso, immerso in un contesto unico: mangiare di fronte ai templi di Paestum è già di per sé qualcosa di magico, ma il Ristorante Nettuno riesce a rendere l’esperienza ancora più speciale. Il personale è gentilissimo, disponibile e attento a ogni esigenza, con una professionalità rara e un’accoglienza calorosa che ti fa sentire subito a casa. La cucina è spettacolare: piatti curati, ingredienti di qualità e sapori che raccontano la tradizione con eleganza. Ogni portata è stata un piacere per il palato. Il locale, curato in ogni dettaglio, gode di una vista semplicemente impagabile sui templi. Un posto stupendo, perfetto per un pranzo romantico, una cena speciale o un’occasione da ricordare. Consigliatissimo. Torneremo sicuramente!

14/06/2025: Abbiamo cenato qui una sera infrasettimanale, eravamo l'unico altro gruppo presente al ristorante quando siamo arrivati. Il locale si presenta molto bene, parzialmente ospitato in un edificio rurale ristrutturato con una estensione moderna a fianco, che offre una vista meravigliosa sui due templi piu' grandi di Paestum. Il servizio e' stato ottimo, con camerieri cortesi e solerti, e disponibili alla conversazione e qualche battuta. Il menu' e' vario a sufficienza, anche se la scelta non e' vastissima, ma ci sono i classici piatti del territorio e fornitori locali. Qualita' ottima, porzioni corrette. Carta vini pregevole, con buoni vini, di cui tanti della zona. Prezzi ragionevoli, abbiamo speso poco piu' di €30 a testa ed eravamo sazi alla fine. Ci torneremmo volentieri!

14/05/2025: I don't have any pictures, but it's exactly as others have said. Everyone was so friendly, and most of all, the espresso was so delicious. I was so sad to find out on the day I was leaving. Sob. I visited twice that day. They only accept cash, not cards!

20/06/2025: Expensive (€10) for a large beer. Women’s toilet blocked. No hand soap in women’s or men’s toilet. When I went to counter to tell staff they ran out of soap they just said okay and didn’t try to find any. Disappointing as the setting was lovely

15/06/2025: Kind staff who helped me find an ATM to get cash for the parking. I wasn't even a customer at that point. Later we had some food and a beer here, which was simple and utterly restorative after a day in the ruins.

10/07/2025: We went to this restaurant as part of a guided tour package in Ischia. There were several options, and they were all good. The location is stunning, especially at sunset. 👍🏻

19/05/2025: Excelente cafetería con asientos al aire libre a pocos minutos a pie tanto de la estación de tren como del espectacular palacio y parque de Caserta. Excelente café, corteza italiana - menos sándwiches y sfogliatella. Muy razonable precio.

18/06/2025: The kindest people. They had such genuine smiles. Chicken and fries and sandwich were just ok and showers (50 cents cold 1 euro hot), but sandy beach and guarded parking right next to lido. Quite crowded but still the staff were lovely.

16/06/2025: A historic beach, an icon in the area. Services, cleanliness and all the efficient organization. Excellent beach service and a special mention to Francesco who has been assisting bathers for years. Affordable prices and a quiet environment. Highly recommended.
