La Bersagliera In Napoli

On May 2nd, we ordered seafood spaghetti (€24 per dish): decidedly bland and, in our opinion, unworthy of this historic establishment. We expected something more, but perhaps they're geared more toward foreign tourists; afterward, we decided to leave without ordering anything else. Marco and Margherita.

A place that retains all the charm of its history. Sure, the furnishings are dated, as is the overall style, but for me, this is their true value. It truly feels like being in Naples in the '60s and '70s, from the decor to the food and service. Simple but delicious dishes, polite, attentive, and courteous service. Those looking for a trendy place might be disappointed, but for others, I highly recommend it.

An authentic experience in the heart of Naples, La Bersagliera is much more than just a restaurant: it's a piece of the city's history. Each course is simply exquisite, capable of conquering even the most discerning palates. The staff is extremely kind, welcoming, and always ready to make guests feel at home. The location is simply fantastic: eating with the sea just steps away and such a picturesque view is an experience hard to forget. A word of advice: take the time to hear the restaurant's history and the many famous people who have passed through it over the years. It's a journey through time that makes the visit even more special. A must-see for anyone who wants to experience the true soul of Naples.

I didn't have a good experience. I had higher expectations, considering it's a historic restaurant. The location is unique, being near the sea with a panoramic view of the Borgo Marinaro district of Naples, but the dining room and furnishings are very dated. The service was very poor; we had to repeatedly ask for trivial items, like bread. Despite waiting a long time to order, we were served our appetizers first, and then asked for the white wine we'd ordered. The waiter hastily poured it into our glasses, without even asking if it was okay, and then put it in a bucket of ice and placed it on a chair, ruining the tasting experience. Among the dishes ordered from the very minimal daily menu, I ordered razor clams au gratin, served cold and dry; then tagliatelle bersagliera with small, almost all broken clams; good octopus and cherry tomatoes; and two small portions of seafood risotto. My wife asked for another portion, which the management provided. The quality wasn't excellent.
