06/04/2025: Posso dire con estrema sincerità che abbiamo trovato LaTradizione dopo una ricerca su Tripadivor e anche se erano al completo… ci hanno assicurato un tavolo per quattro all’esterno (ci consigliavano di valutare se accettare o meno per telefono). Appena arrivati siamo stati accolti con estrema gentilezza e ci hanno trovato un tavolo nel gazebo coperto. Posto molto incantevole e i piatti sono stati eccellenti! Il personale veramente cordiale e paziente nel dare consigli e spiegazioni. Ci siamo sentiti coccolati e dire che era prevista una veloce sosta sulla via del rientro in Puglia… ma poi ci siamo fermati a degustare i loro piatti. Consigliato e speriamo di ritornarci ma certamente ne parleremo con gli amici diretti a Sorrento. Per noi una metà biennale !

02/06/2025: En una ciudad famosa por excelentes restaurantes a precios razonables, Osteria la Carmela destaca entre los 6 restaurantes finos que hemos probado allí en 2024 y '25. Este no es un lugar que se gana sus muchas buenas críticas basadas en grandes habitaciones ventiladas y restaurantes al aire libre. Es una ostería de una habitación sin asientos al aire libre y menos de una docena de mesas. Pero todo sobre él es excelente - - el menú (especialmente platos de marisco) , la preparación de la comida, el vino de la casa, el servicio de bienvenida y los precios muy razonables. En el Carmela, me siento como si estuviera cenando en una acogedora casa privada napolitana, con al menos dos generaciones de cocineros familiares en la cocina. Este es un lugar especial, bien situado cerca de Vía Toledo y el famoso Museo Arqueológico Nacional. Espero tener la suerte de cenar allí una y otra vez.

31/05/2025: Beautiful place! We visited this restaurant on the recommendation of a friend of mine. The restaurant was beautiful, with sober but elegant lighting. The waiters were attentive, with fast but efficient service. The best thing was the food. The food was delicious, very finely prepared. Among the appetizers, I highly recommend the mozzarella in carrozza and the parmigiana. The latter is undoubtedly among the best I have ever tasted. The main courses were very good, and with a price consistent with the quality of the product. The desserts were delicious, what a panna cotta! In short, one of the best osterias I have ever tried in Naples. 100% recommended.

16/05/2025: We went there last night as the restaurant was recommended to us. We had a beautiful meal. Sorry, but we forgot to take a photo of each course. We had starters with a main & side dish. Not wine drinkers so I can't comment on their selection. We were not up to pudding unfortunately this time. The menu is a seafood lovers paradise! I could have eaten most of it but my husband has a mollusc allergy so mussels & clams are out. He opted for the mixed starter which had anchovy balls, cod in milk, fish parmigiana and something else. I chose the squid. All gorgeous. For the main I had the small octopus with tomato sauce and my husband had the swordfish steak. Both so tasty. I have never had such well cooked squid and octopus before at a restaurant. So soft and tender. We would absolutely recommend that if you are in the area you pop by and try it. You will not be disappointed ❤️

03/06/2025: Never again! I had the mixed fried fish dish as a main course. For 18 euros I would have expected to have eaten well and sufficiently here.. I got a bowl with a mix of calamari, squid and scampi. The portion was no more than a starter in my eyes. Moreover, the intestinal tract of each scampi was full of shit! When I made a comment to the waiter, he responded that it was their way of cooking.. I am not a picky eater, but I have never experienced this before. "the taste of Italy" is their slogan. An insult to the fantastic cuisine that the rest of Italy has to offer. Too bad, maybe find another chef? The only bright spot is that I got a free glass of wine as compensation.

02/06/2025: It is a very nice restaurant in the heart of the historic center of Salerno. The food is very good, excellent appetizers, divine and expertly prepared first courses; I recommend the spaghetti with red shrimp and the linguine with anchovies, peppers and fennel, winner of the Slow Food award. Very good second courses. Highly recommended!!

27/04/2025: As an American homebrewing beer snob, this is your go-to place in all of Naples. Take the $20 cab ride up to this newer clean neighborhood and plan on hanging for several beers as you work your way through their extensive and diverse tap and bottle options from around Europe, several not available in the US. Small place but has bar stools and outdoor seating that makes it really nice to sit and strike up a convo with the friendly and chatty locals. The bartender is quick even when working by himself including keg switch-outs during a busy afternoon shift. Super helpful is their 4oz pours so you can try more beers from around the European world. Such a gem of a find, and a place that is now our go-to place in Naples.

05/06/2025: Siamo stati al ristorante costa diva a Praiano dopo aver visitato i paesini della costiera amalfitana aldilà che abbiamo mangiato da Dio!!!! Ma il posto incantevole che abbiamo trovato personale qualificato cibo di qualità e che dire il posto si commenta da solo è un qualcosa di magico Ve lo consiglio vivamente a tutti!!!!!!!🇮🇹🇮🇹💪💪💪
