04/06/2025: My husband and I just spent the weekend at the Helvetia Hotel in Porretta Terme (31/05-01/06). The hotel is well-kept and elegant, as are the rooms, large and with attention to detail. Excellent cleaning. Friendly and helpful staff.
The icing on the cake is the beautiful SPA, created from caves in an air raid shelter; a very suggestive environment, with soft lighting and background music, which makes everything romantic and relaxing.... open until 11:00 pm... the kit is available in the room, with: bathrobe, towel, slippers and cap.
I can't wait to go back....
I RECOMMEND IT....

Staff normal in terms of kindness towards the customer. Place to renovate and without air conditioning because it is not turned on yet, which with 30 degrees outside.
26/05/2025: When I discovered that the Best Pastry Chef of Italy APEI 2025 was in Prato and that he is none other than the famous Master Craftsman Luca Mannori, World Pastry Champion in 1997 with the Torta Setteveli, my desire to try his creations was such that as soon as I could I ran to have breakfast in this Pastry Shop with my partner.
As soon as you enter you are greeted by the beautiful window dedicated to Pâtisserie, with Cakes, Single Portions and Mignon on display, one more inviting than the other, and then you arrive at the counter with Viennoseries and Sandwiches, a riot of aromas with freshly baked products.
Luckily we manage to find a table, among the crowd of Sunday customers, and we order some desserts from both windows; for me Vanilla Flan, so inviting with all those Bourbon berry seeds, Cremino and Prato Peach, while my partner had Pain Suisse and Tropical Fiocco, one of the Special Editions available over the weekend.
As soon as my taste buds landed on the Flan, all my certainties about the various pastry shops I have praised over the years were shattered and after every bite and every new tasting the awareness that I was in front of something unique increased; each leavened product has a range of aromas that develop and pervade you like a perfume, as in the Tropical Fiocco where there is a "Head Note" given by the Puff Pastry, followed by the "Heart Note" of the Chantilly and then conclude with the Tropical Compote, which leaves a light acidic "Tail" note on the palate.
The Cappuccinos taken to accompany everything were also excellent, so creamy and with a foam so persistent that it left traces on the walls of the now empty cup.
We then continued by ordering two Mignon Sandwiches, with Salmon and with Shrimp and Spinach, and these too, although simple, amazed us with the careful study of the ingredients; a light acidic seasoning enhances the Salmon to the fullest while a combination never tried before, that of Shrimp and Spinach, is so perfect that I wondered why I had never tasted it before.
Every preparation of this Pastry Shop is like a musical score; each of the ingredients has, like the notes on the staff, its own times and spaces that create harmony.
We left the place happy and satisfied, as well as surprised by the total cost of everything, considering that we also took a bar of chocolate and assorted cream puffs to take away; in Florence, in any pastry shop, we would have spent almost double for this type of product, so I would say an excellent quality-quantity/price ratio.
My only regret, as I climbed onto the scooter, was not having tasted the Bomboloni alla Crema, which would have come out shortly, so my partner decided to wait together until they were ready and after about 15 minutes I went back in to get two; they were already gorgeous to look at, like clouds in my hands to touch and after taking a bite I turned to my partner and said "I feel like when I kissed you for the first time", it was worth the wait for the best hot bombolone I have ever eaten.
Trying the Pasticceria del Maestro Mannori is a gastronomic experience to have at least once in your life; with the awareness that, after having tasted such excellence, all the other pastry shops will seem more mediocre.

18/06/2025: Awesome place. We came to Positano for our honeymoon and were able to get picked up from our hotel in Fornillo Beach (and back) for free. The food was great - we got the zucchini flowers, the pink sauce pasta, the bolognese and the citrus tiramisu. A great experience for anyone looking to dine outside the typical tourist circuit

With an incredibly tasty salad with delicate flavors, a burger that you didn't want to finish and a pasta dish that even if you don't eat eggplant you will lick the plate!!! Nice service, nice music, nice aesthetics!!!

17/06/2025: It was not a pleasant surprise.
We ask for 4 fried foods and 4 pizzas.
The first 2 fried foods arrive: Olives all'ascolana and supplì all on a single plate. Result: the mozzarella drips onto the olives. In fact, beyond the dripping, one should think that maybe the person who was supposed to eat the Olives didn't like mozzarella, or was intolerant. The fact is that it is not done. Let's move on:
the waiter arrives and takes away the plates for the appetizers telling us that the pizzas were arriving. We point out to him that the other 2 fried foods are missing, namely the courgette flowers and tell him that it didn't matter and that we would eat the pizza. At this point, I think the owner, begins by saying that they would bring us the fried foods and the pizza right away because otherwise the latter would have gotten cold and that due to possible arrivals of groups, they would have delayed the arrival of the pizzas. small aside: you created the problem, I don't understand why, since I pay, I have to pay for it. However, we are accommodating and tell him that it's fine anyway.
And here the best of the best is revealed. The famous pizzas that were arriving, arrive to the 2 people who had eaten the fried food, the other two, miraculously delay the exit and arrive together with the flowers. But the paradox arrives now: we take the two flowers, always on a single plate and they take away that single support. So the flower at 200 degrees in hand and not knowing where to put it, we place it on the pizza that, arrives cold to the point that the mozzarella was not stringing.
One last thing always referring to the alleged owner: it is not polite to arrive at the table 5 times (counted) and interrupt the customers, just as it is not polite to take the word away from the boy who served us. It is not polite to use a very loud tone of voice, it is not polite to interrupt the customer's requests. It is not said that a rude tone is okay for all people.
A positive note goes to the boy who served us: always with the utmost respect, never out of line.
Lastly the food: I don't know why the pizza was dry and cold and the fried food was nothing special.
With the utmost respect for your work, I don't think we'll see each other again.

30/06/2025: We had dinner at "Per Me" by Giulio Terrinoni, in the heart of Rome, and the experience was truly memorable. The restaurant immediately strikes you with its elegant design and attention to detail, which creates a refined but welcoming atmosphere. The cuisine is the real strong point: dishes with great visual impact, made with the highest quality ingredients and presented with creativity.
The menu is refined and well-structured, we often chose to rely on the tasting itineraries proposed by chef Terrinoni, which turned out to be a real journey through flavors, consistencies and emotions that were always new. Each course tells a story and demonstrates great attention to the balance of flavors.
The wine list is extensive and well-selected, with quality labels that perfectly accompany each dish. The service is attentive, professional and never intrusive, helping to make the evening even more enjoyable.
In short, "Per Me" is an unmissable stop for those who want to have a high-level gastronomic experience in Rome.

But this is one of the very few to remember.
Food was just amazing, every dish we ordered was just perfect - full of flavour and very very well prepared. Man who was serving us in the outside table very passionate and dedicated and very comunicative, knew everything about the dishes. Deffinately will be back. Thanks a lot for great evening.
