20/09/2025: Nice place, friendly service, yet very unorganised. A piece of recommendation maybe, instead of everyone serving all customers, distribute the service in « zones ». Moreover when we are served by 4 different people, we usually don’t tip :-)

The complaints in the negative comments should be more objective and take all factors into account! Highly recommended! The pizzoccheri are dreamy! PS: The only lodge open on September 28th in Val Zebrù!

26/09/2025: We passed by on July 23rd: we had booked a refuge, but along the trail a family recommended we stop here for the quality of the food. I can 100% confirm that the food is excellent: the tiramisu, in particular, is among the best I've ever tasted, if not the best. Highly recommended! A place to return to not only for the food, but also for the scenery and the warm welcome from the owners.

06/11/2025: Every year, to rediscover myself, I cross the threshold of Osteria Vecchio Borgo and indulge in a culinary experience that, in my area, is simply unparalleled. It's not a restaurant: it's a temple of taste, a rare gem in the heart of Cuneo. From the moment you enter, you feel like you're somewhere else: an intimate yet refined atmosphere, a family welcome, and a discreet luxury that doesn't flaunt itself but speaks volumes: haute cuisine is served here with authentic elegance. The tables are small, the attention to detail is meticulous, the service attentive but never ostentatious—perfect for those who truly want to pamper themselves. The ingredients seem to be chosen specifically to amaze: each dish is a gesture, a story, an emotion. The courses follow one another with harmony, balance, and passion. And—I say this with conviction—I know of no other restaurant in the area that reaches this level: not for quality, not for atmosphere, not for that "something" that makes you think you're somewhere special. I return once a year, with friends or my wife, because it's become my personal ritual: I unplug, eat magnificently, rediscover flavor, and reinvigorate my soul. It's true culinary luxury, in an environment you'd only belittle by calling "private and familiar." In reality, it's elite hospitality. It's the light, the team's politeness, and that detail—the homemade bread, the unexpected entrée, the artisanal brushing of crumbs left on the tablecloth—that makes dinner a celebration. If you're looking for a restaurant that surprises you, that transports you to a world where food is art and hospitality is care, well: you've found it. In the entire area, I don't see a rival that can compete. That's why Osteria Vecchio Borgo isn't just a restaurant I recommend: it's the restaurant you should experience at least once a year.

06/11/2025: The menu, the place, and the service were amazing! I got a rye bagel that tasted just like wholemeal, with pesto, cheese, and almonds... generous and delicious.

04/11/2025: We drove an hour to eat their fluffy pancakes! Exceptional! The prices were more than fair, and the wait was short despite the busy restaurant. The staff was young, knowledgeable, and friendly! We'll definitely be back!

26/10/2025: On the way to this place, I was thinking, "Where is the GPS taking me?" The location and exterior didn't exactly inspire me. Surprise! Amazed! 😲! We were welcomed by the host, a big, trendy, and friendly man with a beard and mustache. He took our jackets, hanging them in the cloakroom, and led us to an intimate, private room. There were 6 of us. The decor and tables were beautiful, just to my taste. The atmosphere was welcoming. I felt great. The service was young, feminine, and professional, as the sommelier was. The food and presentation were good, and the wine list was excellent. Congratulations. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!! 🔝

16/10/2025: I've already taken several lunch breaks from work here and every time the food is excellent, the service impeccable, and the value is unbeatable. I'll definitely be back for dinner, too; the fish is truly well-cooked and never repetitive.

26/10/2025: A simple yet refined atmosphere, fresh, local, expertly prepared food, and a decent wine list. But above all, the service was prompt and the kindness that's not so common these days. At the end of lunch, we carelessly left our car in the restaurant's parking lot and went for a walk with the dogs. The owner came to look for us in his car and let us know he had to close the gate—very kindly. We'll be back.

25/10/2025: We chose a tasting menu, and one word to describe what we experienced: exceptional!! The welcoming setting, the extremely kind and knowledgeable owners (husband and wife) who immediately made us feel at ease, the quality of the service, and the exquisiteness of each dish, paired with a wine that enhanced their flavors, made this dinner an unforgettable experience.

16/11/2025: Family-friendly restaurant, amazing dinner, friendly staff! I went there with my partner just last night for our anniversary. As soon as we entered, the warm and welcoming atmosphere and the owner made us feel at home. After a small appetizer, we chose the "no stop" menu, which consists of six courses, each with six different sauces, accompanied by a typical piadina. You can also sample the dishes, if you're feeling hungry! You can also order à la carte, but the tasting menu allows you to try as many traditional dishes as possible at a very reasonable price. The owner, like the other woman in the dining room, comes to your table to explain the various courses and guides you through the entire tasting experience. We'll definitely be back, hungrier than ever!

26/10/2025: A truly welcoming Ethiopian restaurant, with an atmosphere that makes you feel at home. The girls are incredibly kind and always smiling. The food is plentiful, tasty, and beautifully cooked. We had the "No Stop" for €20 with an appetizer, which includes a sampling of six different sauces. I recommend coming very hungry, because we were exhausted by the fourth sauce! For those who prefer, there's also the option of ordering à la carte, but for your first time, the tasting menu is ideal. I recommend it for a different kind of dinner and to try new flavors!

31/08/2025: An experience worth trying once in a lifetime! We went to this restaurant last night, chose the blind tasting menu, and were pleasantly surprised! The food, besides being meticulously crafted, is of the highest quality. The service is excellent; the waiters are friendly, courteous, and super friendly. We were extremely satisfied, fantastic 😍

17/10/2025: From the first meeting to the wedding day, everything was taken care of down to the smallest detail; we didn't have to worry about a thing. The staff was available, attentive, and always smiling, ready to satisfy every request, both ours and our guests'. The service was impeccable, the cuisine exceptional, and the location dreamy—everything contributed to making the day truly unforgettable. Even the vendors Luisa recommended, from the pastry shop to the wedding planner to the children's entertainer, were professional, helpful, and offered excellent value for money, fulfilling our every wish. All our guests complimented us, and we can only extend our heartfelt thanks to the entire staff for the professionalism and passion with which they made our wedding special. If you dream of a fairytale day, it can come true with deja vu.

16/09/2025: Three for service only because the waiter sets the table for five, as we have a baby in a stroller. As soon as we point out that there are four of us (the baby wasn't eating), he angrily tells us, "Never mind, you're five." At which point we accepted (remember, in Italy you pay a cover charge). In the end, it was a lovely evening. The food was excellent.
