A very nice place, but it's not easy to get there due to the road being very narrow in several places. Alternatively, you can take the funicular and then walk about 2 km. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the food is good. A bit overpriced considering that most of the ingredients used are traditional peasant fare—polenta, potatoes, etc.—the fried food basket in particular, at €16 for a handful of chips, three sciatt, and three taroz, is truly a lot.

I highly recommend it. I've been there before, but I have to say I didn't remember it being this good! Delicious polenta with sausage and porcini mushrooms, and excellent service.

My partner and I spent 2 nights in Brunate and ate both evenings at La Polenteria. After a long journey the first night and a long hike the second we wanted some home cooked hearty food and were definitely not disappointed here. The wild boar and game pasta intrigued us and was phenomenal. We were served by Francesco and Sylvia. They were both first class - attentive, welcoming, informative and friendly. Honestly couldn’t ask for more. As foodies we would like to leave two tips - firstly cutting the bread and leaving it in a bag causes it to go a little dry. Still nice but it would be nicer whole. Secondly the french fries are seriously undersold! They are not french fries, they are discs of crispy potato heaven and the homemade garlic mayonnaise. Amazing! Maybe ‘crispy potato discs’.

It's located at the highest point in Como. But for those who want to try real polenta, it's well worth it.

The polenta is simply the best I've ever eaten: creamy, flavorful, and perfectly paired with the toppings. The portions are generous.
The restaurant's atmosphere is also very welcoming and pleasant, ideal for enjoying a relaxing dinner. I'll definitely be back!
