Among the dishes, the fried calamari deserves a special mention: light, crispy, and prepared with smaller calamari, quite different from the ones often served in many restaurants and of unclear origin. In addition to dinner, the place is also perfect for an aperitif or to end the evening with a good glass of wine accompanied by some appetizers. 27/07/2026: People used to go to Fraschetta for drinks, and drinking remains paramount here too. The wine cellar is extensive and encompasses all regions, including French and international wines. The menu is limited and changes frequently; now in summer, it focuses primarily on fish, with some great classics. I recommend the fried calamari if you want to try calamari that isn't gigantic and comes from who knows where in the world. Of course, you can also enjoy a nice aperitivo or something after dinner. The atmosphere is familiar and the staff is very friendly. Let them guide you in choosing your wine; you won't regret it.

19/07/2026: A truly exceptional experience. The food is top-notch, with dishes crafted with meticulous attention to detail and top-quality ingredients. The staff is simply excellent. Professional, attentive, and always smiling, they make you feel welcome from start to finish. The venue is magnificent and very reminiscent of the atmosphere of the Costes in Paris: elegant, refined, and with a distinct identity. A little corner of Paris in the heart of Rome. Highly recommended. I can't wait to go back.

13/06/2026: We went to Bistro 8 e 9 in Trevignano Romano to celebrate my birthday and were truly delighted. The location is stunning, with tables directly overlooking Lake Bracciano, creating a very relaxing atmosphere. The food was excellent, prepared with fresh, quality ingredients, and everything was delicious and carefully prepared. The service was excellent: the blonde woman who served us was extremely kind, professional, and understanding, helping make the evening even more enjoyable. A truly successful dinner in every way, in an enchanting location. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to spend a lovely evening on the lake enjoying excellent food and receiving impeccable service. We will definitely be back!

06/08/2026: This place is AMAZING!! We were in Rome only 4 nights and we spent 2 of them here. It's totally old school. Our server, John Luca was incredible. He had fun working with my daughter on her Italian. He taught us a few proper everyday words that we had been saying incorrectly. If I could box up this place and bring it home I would have, John Luca included!

01/08/2026: Excellent. It manages to combine a wonderfully homey atmosphere with unparalleled quality. One of the best places I've been to in recent years. The 1.5 kg imperial T-bone (devoured by two) with sautéed chicory, jacket potatoes, grilled peppers and eggplant was the meal of the year for me. Simply magnificent.

26/07/2026: This restaurant also offers a gluten-free option (near Piazza Bologna). The meat is excellent in all its forms. The four of us ordered two chicken swords, two Australian wagyu sirloin steaks, two potatoes, and two chicory leaves. Water, a bottle of Sagrantino, and two Jeffersons were also included. All of this was quality, and for me, it came to around €40 per person.

After bringing me the wrong beer, they refilled the beer I'd previously ordered, and despite the waiter's mistake, they charged me for it even though I hadn't consumed it. This behavior I wouldn't have expected, given that the bill for two dishes and two beers came to almost €50. I won't be returning; the customer service is extremely poor. NOT RECOMMENDED

14/04/2026: Varied menu, all fresh Besides the meat, the excellent pasta dishes and the fresh and spectacular French fries are also worth mentioning. Attentive service Above-average prices, especially for the meat. 20% less and it would be the perfect place.

12/05/2026: A place that can now be said to be historic, 100% vegan and organic. The formula is buffet. You get a table assigned to you (it's better to book), you take a plate and put what you want on it (the choice changes every day and is always very wide, tasty and varied) then you weigh it (the scales take away the weight of the plate) and take the relevant receipt. Cost €36 per kilo (on average €13-15 is enough) drinks (wide choice of beers, soft drinks and wines) served by the always very kind and knowledgeable staff. Surprising desserts, good coffee.
