Right in the heart of the action, yet with few tourists. They serve the best pasta amatriciana and carbonara in Rome. The insalata caprese was also delicious and fresh. We would love to come back.

A truly delicious and absolutely authentic restaurant in Rome. We even went there twice during our stay! Fun fact: Mark Wahlberg and Emrata were there too 😋

What a great place. We had a delicious meal here. We started with bruschetta with aubergine and tomato and a small selection of cured meats. Everything was truly delectable! For the main course, I had the Roman veal, and my friend chose the steak with fried potatoes on the waiter's recommendation. The steak was absolutely delicious, and my dish was amazing too. The service was excellent. We had a very nice, enthusiastic waiter who came up with good suggestions. For dessert, I had the lemon cake because the tiramisu was unfortunately already sold out, but the delicious lemon cake more than made up for it. I would definitely recommend this place, and if I am in Rome again, I will certainly come back here.

The food is very good, the servers are friendly, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the meals are reasonably priced. I recommend it!

Old school cool and a world class tiramisu

We come to this restaurant every time we are in Rome and it has never disappointed us. We love its authentic style and the hard working waiters who speak several languages. I always order the veal picante limone and it is just delicious, great simple food done well. The wines are well priced and the negronis were excellent. Looking forward to our next visit in 3 weeks time.

The food itself was well made and enjoyable, and overall the service from the wait staff was good. However, the experience was let down by the front cashier. On arrival, he saw us and made eye contact but didn’t greet us or direct us in, until a waiter noticed us and guided us to our table, which felt a bit disorganised for a first impression. At the end of the meal, we asked about the bill and were told to sit and it would be brought to the table. After waiting around 20 minutes with no bill, we eventually went up to the front ourselves. Even then, we still had to wait another 10 minutes to pay while the front cashier was chatting with another group and splitting a bill, with little sense of urgency while other customers were waiting. Overall, everyone else did a good job, but the front cashier really impacted the flow of the experience. If you’re on a schedule or don’t have time to wait, it may not be the most convenient choice.
