As a celiac, the first thing I look for when choosing a restaurant is the gluten-free offerings, and L’Archeologia truly won me over.
From the moment we arrived, we found the staff knowledgeable, kind, and helpful, making us feel immediately at ease. Their attention to dietary needs didn't seem like a mere formality, but rather a genuine dedication to the customer.
The food was excellent: dishes prepared with quality ingredients, flavorful, and meticulously crafted. It's one of those places where, bite after bite, you realize there's a passion behind what they do.
The location was also very pleasant: beautiful and relaxing, with the added bonus of finding parking quickly, which is not a given in Rome.
I recommend it especially to those looking for a reliable gluten-free place, but also to those who simply want to eat well and enjoy attentive, professional service. I will gladly return.

I visited around May 22, 2023, and the food, wine, and service were all good.
A fly got into my wine glass, so I told the waiter and they replaced it.

The restaurant is located in a unique setting on the Appian Way, between the Basilica and the Catacombs of San Sebastiano, the entrance to the Circus of Maxentius, and the tomb of Cecilia Metella. Inside, the restaurant is beautifully appointed with refined furnishings and ambiance. The tables are elegantly decorated. The menu offers both seafood and meat dishes. This time, I chose a meat-based dinner menu with a delicious beech-flavored Scottona Tartare, a Béarnaise sauce, and crispy seeds as an appetizer. For my main course, I opted for a fantastic Duck Breast
with leeks, hazelnuts, and miso mayonnaise. To finish, a beautiful dessert: yogurt mousse, salted caramel, and mandarin sauce. Very delicate. The staff is courteous and friendly. Very attentive. The price, €60-70, is appropriate for both the elaborate and refined dishes and the beautiful location. Considering it's only 2 km from home, I'll be back!

The location is beautiful, the portions are average, and sufficient. The appetizer (octopus in tomato sauce) was good, and the first and second courses were ordinary.
Prices are high.

An excellent restaurant in every way: the quality of the food, the location, and the impeccable service. For a special occasion, they reserved a private room for us, making the experience even more unique and intimate, allowing us to experience the event in a different way than in traditional restaurants.

A truly beautiful restaurant located in a unique setting that retains all the charm of ancient Rome. The Cantina, housed inside an authentic tomb, is very evocative, creating a rare and captivating atmosphere. The dishes served are excellent. Highly recommended.

I've been to this restaurant several times as an event photographer, and I honestly have to give it my all-time high ratings, both for the location, the service, and the presentation of the dishes. Taste is obviously king, and the food here is excellent.
The place is very elegant and quiet, and you feel right at home, especially because the decor is so welcoming.
The only downside is the parking lot, which is a bit sketchy, but unfortunately, there's no alternative.
