24/11/2025: Terrible service, all the waiters were grumpy, sulking, almost throwing plates, and it was incredibly slow.
The fish was decent, but some of it smelled and tasted like it was frozen.
The selection wasn't very wide, and oysters and shrimp weren't available; they probably didn't have time to defrost them.
I'm sorry, but it wasn't a pleasant experience. My boyfriend and I spent a miserable evening waiting ages for our dishes, making us lose our appetite and our happiness at leaving.
I don't recommend it at all.
A word of advice to the waiters: learn Italian; we're in Italy. And if you want, learn the table numbers too.

07/09/2025: A restaurant from another era where the quality and deliciousness of the dishes are noteworthy. The freshest fish is expertly prepared, and the service is friendly and warm. The location is truly beautiful, with a truly extraordinary sea view.

The incredible location overlooking the Abruzzo coast (unforgettable under a full moon), the family atmosphere, and the groups of longtime friends who flock to Bruno, the owner, transform a dinner into a memorable experience.

04/12/2025: A very local place serving honest local dishes. The ravioli were divine with loads of forcing and the taccon were very unique with a wild herb sauce. The food was served on incredibly gorgeous plates that our server painted. The owners were very friendly and offered us to see the collection of ceramics that she painted. A lovely place in a lovely village. I highly recommend both.
10/11/2025: Delicious, family-run, it exudes the traditions of Abruzzo and Castellana. Try the truffle gnocchi.

09/11/2025: We stayed at this hotel for the San Martino race and had a great time. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the dinner was generous and tasty, and the breakfast was more than satisfactory. Lastly, the price was very reasonable.

06/10/2025: On September 26, 2025, I stopped at this place for the second time; I've always found them to be friendly and helpful. Both times, I had slices of pizza, which were excellent, both in taste and crust. The pizza is soft and easy to digest, which I liked. The bottom crust isn't as hard as many make it, but remains slightly crunchy enough not to hinder chewing.
The place is well-kept, tidy, and clean, and the restrooms are also well-maintained.
For a slice of Margherita pizza and half a glass of mineral water, I paid €2.30, a truly fair price.
If you're passing through Piazza Filippone—and not Piazza Filipponi, 1, as incorrectly stated on the receipt—stop by.

12/07/2025: Here's one of those places you don't expect, partly due to your ignorance, partly because perhaps, as often happens in Italy, cultural heritage isn't given the due prominence. A charming piece of majolica history, explained with great clarity and charm by Fabrizio, who accompanied and guided us through the museum.
It's definitely worth a visit if you come to Castelli!

04/09/2025: We were looking for something to eat before lunch and were captivated by the smell of freshly baked pizza at this pizzeria. The pizza was very good, with easy-to-digest dough and a generous amount of toppings, and the supplì al telefono were excellent, even the freshly fried ones.
A delightful discovery, and kudos to the owner and the staff.

09/08/2025: We had breakfast. I had a croissant, the dough was excellent, with Nutella and Chantilly cream, and there was so much of it! The soy latte macchiato was also excellent, and also plentiful. What can I say! I'll definitely try it again.

19/10/2025: An experience worth trying! Superb breakfast with a huge selection of croissants and pastries. Nice location on the main street. From what we saw, it's very popular...there were a lot of people, but the wait was minimal thanks to the well-organized and numerous staff.
