At the end of the tunnel...
I went to the Tunnel Restaurant and Pizzeria in Campli following a recommendation... and I have to say: it hit the mark.
A truly successful lunch, with cuisine that is down-to-earth, generous, and without unnecessary drama. Well-executed dishes, authentic flavors, and portions that do their job with rustic elegance. From the first course, you can sense expert craftsmanship and respect for tradition: well-made pasta, rich and flavorful toppings. The second course is intense and cooked to perfection, with a perfect dessert to round out the experience.
A welcoming atmosphere, smooth service, and a genuine atmosphere, typical of a restaurant that has been doing well for a long time, and it shows in the food.
Very convincing value for money: you leave satisfied, full, and with the feeling of having chosen the right place.
If you're passing through Campli and want to eat truly well, without frills but with substance, Tunnel is a worthwhile choice. I would gladly return.

01/05/2026: Ten of us went for lunch, and from the à la carte menu, the waitress advised us not to order a single course because the portions were so generous that we wouldn't have eaten everything.
She was right.
From the appetizers to the first courses, everything was delicious, and the mixed grill with sliced steak and side dishes almost all of us gave up.
However, if they had offered the classic homemade cake for dessert, I wouldn't have refused it.
In the end, the per-person cost was around €30.
The restaurant is located at the foot of the twin mountains, with a large park, children's playground, and parking. The spacious upper floor is suitable for large functions, but in the warmer months, outdoor tables are available under enormous gazebos.
From Wednesday to Sunday, there's a pizzeria, and during the day, there's self-service restaurant.

Ideal for reunions with friends or family. Ample parking and a well-kept garden complete the picture.
28/02/2026: The only thing I liked was the first course, for the rest of the starters, main courses and dessert nothing exceptional, and the waiting times were a bit too long

15/02/2026: I went with several reservations and fairly low expectations. I ordered an appetizer, a pizza, a portion of fries, and water. Overall, the food wasn't bad: the pizza was decent and the appetizer was average. The fries, however, were a bit too greasy, which could definitely be improved.
The worst aspect of the experience was the service: the wait was decidedly long, both to order and to receive the food. This slowness significantly impacted the final rating.
The bill also seemed slightly above average for the quality offered and the type of restaurant, which isn't located in a busy or particularly touristy area.
All in all, an average experience: not exciting, but not to be dismissed either. Just OK.

08/07/2025: Situato su una collina un posto accogliente! Entrando senti subito un buon odore di carne che stimola l'appetito! Gli antipasti sono strepitosi(dai salumi al formaggio fritto e non)parmigiana di zucchine superba, buonissima e delicate le chitarrine con le pallotte... Vino buono... Cortesia e cordialità non sono mancate! Il prezzo onesto! Che dire tutto ottimo! Consigliatissimo!

26/02/2025: Piacevole sorpresa con un gruppo di amici in quel di Campli (TE). Piatti gradevolissimi, ben curati e ben presentati che tengono fede alla cultura e alla tradizione della gastronomia abruzzese e di quella teramana in particolare. Menu vario per pietanze gustose e originali. Garbato ed efficiente il servizio, Ambiente pulito e curato. Rapporto qualità/prezzo decisamente conveniente.
