27/07/2024: Counter full of both sweet and savory artisanal products. Very friendly and welcoming staff. We took tarts and croissants and it was all excellent. I also tried the bread for breakfast: this morning it was a sweet chocolate bread, very good. Prices absolutely in line. We will be back soon.

It would be better to book it because they work much more with the take-away formula upon reservation: the tables placed outside on the veranda are few to accommodate all the customers who serve themselves here.

20/08/2024: I had dinner there on Aug 11 with family and friends. The Location, a large terrace overlooking the Abruzzo plain, enjoys a panoramic view that shows the entire mountain chain that continues from the Gran Sasso as far as the eye can see, towards the North. You eat on large wooden tables on paper placemats, very informally, so to speak but the quality of the food offered is excellent: the fried cheese, the Mazzarelle, the Arrosticini and many other typical dishes of traditional Abruzzo cuisine. The staff is pleasant and helpful. It is certainly the place I liked most of this Abruzzo holiday. Even the price surprised me positively given the quality and quantity of food I ate! Let me say a sincere BRAVO to the restaurateurs. I recommend it wholeheartedly!

10/08/2024: Large restaurant with large tables of different sizes available. The staff is kind and helpful even if they don't always understand the customer's requests. The bathroom is perhaps small compared to the capacity of the restaurant. For this reason, queues are very often created for the use of the latter. The design of the bathroom creates an abysmal contrast with the design of the restaurant (very rustic and at the same time elegant with ceiling lighting and some wall spotlights). Quick service in delivering food to the table with respectable plating. On the walls there are characteristic paintings of the place. On the side of the bathroom there is a display cabinet with wines (a very risky choice) but it makes a great impression on the customer. In the center of the main room there is a space used as a cafeteria which somewhat ruins the atmosphere of the restaurant. Behind this there are shelves where the various alcohols are located. In general the restaurant has a right design for the place it is in. The exterior is very anonymous, where the large writing "PEPPE DI SORA" stands out. Excellent experience.

08/08/2024: pizzeria è molto rustica. A tavola ci hanno servito due ragazze educate e di buona volontà. Cibo ok, abbiamo scelto una carrellata di antipasti e contorni: olive ascolane, supplì, misto bruschette, cicoria ripassata, insalata e melanzane grigliate. Non potevano infine mancare gli arrosticini che vengono serviti con carta d'alluminio per tenerli caldi. Il padrone ci ha servito molto gentilmente della genziana (che fino a quel momento credevo fosse illegale) salvo poi gonfiare il conto sullo scontrino con un'ulteriore birra grande. Lupo o Volpe? Fatto presente, il padrone ci manda la ragazza con le scuse ed il resto. Avrebbe fatto maggior effetto se fosse uscito lui in persona. Inoltre, dispiace prendere atto che gli errori sono sempre a vantaggio dell'esercente, mai del consumatore. Concludendo, se non siete troppo schizzinosi per la rusticità del servizio, volete mangiare prodotti tipici e non a buon prezzo, questo locale fa per voi. Ricordatevi solo di controllare lo scontrino, errori di battitura capitano spesso d'estate, ai forestieri.

05/08/2024: Pessimo ieri proprio uno schifo, prezzo assurdo per le portate servite lo sconsiglio orrendo con gli amici ci siamo dati delle giustificazioni e sarebbe approfittare della festa in paese. Non è da professionisti

15/08/2024: Since they moved to “Al Curvone” I go at least once for every stay in Abruzzo. Excellent dishes, almost gourmet (I recommend the Gran Sasso tagliatelle), well-made kebabs and artisanal Ascoli olives. In those with truffles, you can really taste the truffle. Heavenly grilled meat. Super-stocked cellar. Just a piece of advice (I don't want to be a cheap Alessandro Borghese): if a wine on the list is not available, the customer should be notified immediately. However, the service was courteous and professional. Prices in line with those of the area (perhaps a little lower than average). ATTENTION: they don't have fish. This is NOT a criticism, just a warning. Suitable for everyone: families with children, even small ones, groups of friends, couples...

12/08/2024: Disappointing and poorly managed experience - Avoid! I decided to visit this restaurant in Pescocostanzo, renowned (at least that's what they say), but the experience was far from up to expectations. Firstly, we were greeted with a cold and unwelcoming attitude just because we have a small dog. Instead of offering us an adequate solution, they relegated us outside to the sidewalk, as if we were a burden. The situation worsened when the owner intervened during our order. With a total lack of respect, he took the command out of the maître's hand, told him to leave and took matters into his own hands only because my wife had expressed preferences different from those suggested. Instead of trying to accommodate us, the owner continued to treat us with embarrassing rudeness, even implying that my wife wanted to leave, and rudely asking me why I insisted on staying. Despite the terrible welcome, we decided to stay to see if at least the food lived up to the reputation of the place. Unfortunately, the food also proved to be a disappointment: mediocre and absolutely not justified by the exorbitant price. However, I would like to praise the young maître who, with education and professionalism, had started taking our order before the owner intervened in such a clumsy way. Unfortunately, her courtesy could not compensate for the owner's poor management and the overall poor quality of the restaurant. In summary, I strongly advise against this restaurant. The experience was mortifying and absolutely not worth the time or money spent. Avoid it if you can! (I hope at least that the lady recognizes the maître for the tip I left him of €90.00, because it is worth more than what we ate)

29/08/2024: Ristorante familiare con tanti anni di attività. Piatti ben cucinati con primi e secondi abbondanti e ben presentati. L'anima del locale è Teresa figlia di Gaetano storico oste di camionisti e rappresentanti come me che diversi anni fa preparava le carni ed altro in un piccolo locale adiacente al "New Gaetano" attuale. Ottime le pappardelle al cinghiale i ravioli gli arrosticini gli hamburger e i friarielli. Assolutamente da provare la pizza cotta con forno a legna e molto condita. Locale molto ampio con terrazza esterna con molti posti. Personale gentile e disponibile. Prezzi onestissimi. Tovagliato in tessuto e non di carta. Parcheggio libero con diversi posti.

17/08/2024: Era da tantissimo tempo che gli amici suggerivano questo ristorante. Per fortuna quest’anno siamo riusciti a venire. Cordialità e professionalità. Cibo ottimo. Tutte paste fatte a mano saporite il giusto. Arrosticini di pecora e di fegato fantastici, morbidi e gustosi. Tagliata di carne veramente buona. Prezzi e tempo di attesa giusti. Approvato sotto ogni punto di vista.

18/08/2024: A unique dinner, dedicated to the taste and flavors of the mountains!! Spectacular grilled meat...but if you want to savor something truly unique, I recommend a first course with a funny but really good name: "I cazzarielli and beans" (nuggets of gnocchi with beans)...which made the dinner with that touch more for the palate! If I had to give a rating for the welcome, the staff and the food I would give it a 10!!! TRY TO BELIEVE!

18/08/2024: Average food quality, nothing exceptional. Pleasant environment if it were not for the low temperatures due to the use of air conditioning. Despite constant requests to limit its use, they initially agreed without remedying it, subsequently we were told that it was not possible to turn it off because it was requested by other customers. In reality, 3/4 of the guests present in the room were wearing sweatshirts and sweaters. Poor service, rude waiters. Drinks requested 4 times before receiving them. When paying the bill, we noticed an inconsistency with the price of the wine, as we were charged more than the price on the menu provided to us. We will definitely not be returning.
