01/06/2025: A monument that stands on the remains of a large Roman villa, inhabited until late antiquity, which between the 6th and 7th centuries became a castrum of those Byzantines who had retained control of the nearby port of Aternum (Pescara) as a fundamental landing place and intermediate port between the capital of the Exarchate Ravenna and Constantinople, and who clearly created the first nucleus of the historic Torre Alex (from Alessandro Valignano, one of the lords of the Valignano family of Cepagatti in the 17th century). The tower was consolidated in the Lombard era as a control point of a strategic road junction at the crossroads between the S.S. Picena Aprutina and the routes that went up to Forca di Penne and the Aquilano, and which from the 11th-12th centuries became the seat of the lords of the fiefdom of the Norman, Swabian and Angevin eras of Cepagatti, and then passed from the 15th century to the Valignano family and finally to the current owners. The first archaeological investigations by the Superintendency date back to the 1970s and continued between 1998 and 2011 in Piazza S. Rocco, bringing to light important evidence of the Roman era preserved in the City Council Hall. The restoration of the Castle returns to the public the so-called “sala delle cisterne” (cistern room), an authentic and rare Roman cistern 22 meters long and 4 meters wide, as well as the “sala del grano” (grain room), 340 square meters large on the top floor of the monument with a panoramic view of the Pescara valley. The restoration of the Marcantonio Castle, begun in 2008, represents a “place in history” and the over 2000 square meters spread over 4 levels offer the possibility of hosting particularly evocative events. Unfortunately, it is now in decline due to problems with the owners and is closed. Too bad...

17/06/2025: A very respectable structure surrounded by a well-kept park, it offers ample parking both on gravel and on tiles. Dining room suitable for events, well-kept, in our case on the occasion of a vintage car rally an interesting menu is served with the only off-key note of the dessert not up to expectations, everything else is top. Despite this, you leave satisfied.

19/08/2025: I own a BMW 430. This morning I slashed a tire due to a pothole. I called CSA for help; they responded immediately and within minutes, they had organized a meeting. Within half an hour, we were loading the car with the utmost care, given its low weight. I recommend their service to anyone! Qualified and professional staff!

26/08/2025: The guys are always kind and helpful, always ready to recommend a new drink. The accompanying popcorn is always a welcome treat. Spend a couple of euros more per drink, but you'll get a good drink in a nice, quiet place.

04/05/2025: I am a regular customer, especially in the summer, and the place, despite being small, is functional, very clean including the toilet, it is family-run, very kind staff, there is a TV, air conditioning; the kebabs are the best in Abruzzo, very soft and cooked with variable flavor based on the request, the kitchen is open so you can check that everything is ok and the service is fast. Excellent chips and sandwiches too. The lady cleans every table with sanitizing products and this is very important. I'll start going back soon. The rooms are spacious, clean, and tastefully furnished, perfect for those seeking comfort and authenticity. The welcome is warm and genuine: you immediately feel at home, thanks to the kindness and helpfulness of the owners. Breakfast is a special moment, with fresh, local products that reflect the region. The farmhouse is also the ideal starting point for exploring Fossacesia, the Abbey of San Giovanni in Venere, and all the beauty of Abruzzo. A memorable stay. Highly recommended for those who love nature, tranquility, and true hospitality.

22/06/2025: The owners were very kind both in communication and in preparing a savory breakfast (upon our request!), in addition to the truly excellent homemade desserts served in the porch surrounded by the greenery of the garden. The room was very clean equipped with every comfort (air conditioning, WiFi, mosquito nets..). The structure is very close to the Abbey and the Teatro degli Ulivi, reachable in a few minutes on foot. Recommended!

19/07/2025: Sono stata in questo ristorante spettacolare con una bellissima vista, se al tramonto ancor di più. La sala interna ha un affresco sul soffitto molto suggestivo. I proprietari sono molto accoglienti, gentili ( qualità non scontata al giorno d'oggi) e super professionali... ti senti quasi a casa!! I prodotti sono freschi, buonissimi e locali ( ad esempio le verdure sono le loro e la pasta viene fatta dal cuoco al momento). Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo!!
