17/09/2025: [updated 09/16/2025] I'm a regular. I've stayed at the Tavernelle Hotel and Restaurant several times, and I pride myself on knowing the people who work there thoroughly, or at least getting to know them enough to return not just for lodging but for a "visit." Although it's not the most glamorous place, with the comforts of a hotel, I felt at home. I felt at home in a place I'm unfamiliar with, far from where I live. I ate well, as if my mother were cooking for me. I ate really, really well (I repeat). The rooms, though sometimes small, were more than adequate. The sheets were always clean and smelled fresh. The bathrooms were impeccable. The staff was friendly and courteous from the very first moment. Once we got to know them better, Cinzia and Mauro proved to be lovely people. Mauro sometimes has strange theories, but he makes me laugh, so that's fine. Perhaps I could use a fresh coat of paint. It looks like a neglected place, but in reality it isn't. The parking lot is very rough, but it does what it's supposed to. I've attached a few photos from one of the many times I was hungry, and I wasn't disappointed.

10/01/2026: Truly excellent at preparing all kinds of dishes, always very balanced and extremely helpful. Restaurants like them are rare these days.

11/12/2025: My favorite deli. Since I discovered it, there have been no rivals. The meat pie was fabulous, the baked chicken with its impeccable sauce, which I even had my colleague try and he asked for more the next time. The vegetables in general and the duck sauce were special. The cold fish salad was fantastic. I haven't tried everything, but so far nothing has disappointed. Plus, the staff is always smiling and helpful. And the prices are excellent. You'd expect heavy, expensive trays, but instead, the right amount at the right price. I highly recommend it ❤️

25/10/2025: Excellent pastry shop! Fresh, top-quality products, impeccable service, and always friendly staff. Pasticceria Gardellin is the perfect place for breakfast or a sweet treat. Highly recommended!

25/09/2025: The lights in this place are beautiful, the managers are very kind, and the aperitifs and snacks are excellent.

09/09/2025: Nice, spacious, and bright room right across from the public parking lot, just a few minutes from the Ponte degli Alpini. Having stayed in a guesthouse nearby, we had a great breakfast. Highly recommended.

20/06/2025: Extremely expensive beers with no appetizers, at least for us. Maybe they only give it to their "friends"!!! Not recommended.

31/05/2026: Good, high-quality food, but honestly, the prices are too high. A cheeseburger cost €19. It was a good burger, but at least it came with fries... but no. There are burger options made with even dry-aged beef at a lower price, with fries included. The service and atmosphere were very good.

03/05/2026: Nice place, very well kept, the choice on the menu is limited but I think it's a choice to focus on quality, maybe I would increase the choice of side dishes

11/10/2025: You can taste the gelato here, made with love and top-quality ingredients, and the flavors are always endless. These are specialties you can enjoy year-round. The staff is incredibly kind, helpful, and always smiling. I don't think there's a better gelato shop than this one!

12/08/2025: I've always come here for ice cream, I always get the chocolate and stracciatella ones, and they're spectacular. The name is a guarantee.

08/05/2026: We stopped by chance for an aperitivo. Nothing special, just a few fries for five of us to share. The wait for our order was excessive.

02/05/2026: The interior is very refined, classic, and elegant. 🤵 Excellent location, you're sitting right in front of the basilica, it couldn't be better. 📍🗺️ Artisanal lemonade was sourly good, it tasted like lemon. 🍋🍹 Good coffee, I finished it! ☕ Easy-to-use spoons, good grip 👍🏻 Excellent selection of sugars at the table. Excellent quality of the outdoor tables, they seemed to be made of solid, durable aluminum. Napkins at the table were not centered in the container, disappointing! 🧻 Cookies were perhaps a little too small... but appreciated. 🍪 Bathroom...don't go in 🚽 We'll be back, recommended 🤝🏼 Antonio and Carletto

20/08/2025: It feels like you're right in Kenya. Dirty tables, vending machines, people smoking on sticky chairs, a young lady with an unpleasant attitude and appearance, disorganized and extremely slow. The business survives only because it's the only bar in the area.

19/05/2026: We stopped by without a reservation, and yet they quickly found us a table. The woman who greeted us was truly kind, knowledgeable, and helpful: she recommended an excellent meat dish, and we were very satisfied. Congratulations for the service and quality; we'll be happy to return!

18/05/2026: Excellent cheese appetizer and Pata Negra pork chop, a premium cut of meat from Iberian pigs. Very slow service.

02/12/2025: Overall, everything went well, except for a couple of negatives. When I arrived, the bathroom fixtures hadn't been cleaned externally, without going into detail. Another negative was Sunday breakfast, because on Saturday the croissant was fresh, but on Sunday it wasn't. From a 4-star superior hotel, I definitely expect more than just displaying yesterday's croissants. I'm confident these errors will be resolved because I intend to return. After returning, I corrected this with a 4-star rating. None of the previous issues occurred, everything was clean.

27/11/2025: My stay at the GHV Hotel & Spa was very enjoyable, and I can certainly recommend it. The room was clean, modern, and very comfortable, and the bed was comfortable. The staff deserves special mention – polite, helpful, and professional at every stage of the stay. A big plus is the spa area, where you can truly relax, as well as the rich and delicious breakfasts with a wide selection. The hotel also has convenient parking and a good location for those traveling by car. I will definitely return next time and recommend it for both private and business trips.

22/04/2026: Discovered this bar by chance. The croissant and cappuccino were very good, and the prices were average, not excessive. The staff was cheerful and very welcoming. The place was clean and tidy. I'll definitely be back.

20/04/2026: Open early in the morning, it offers excellent coffee (try the cappuccino). I don't know if the croissants are from a bakery, but I found them light and fragrant. The atmosphere is bright and spacious, though not for large groups. It's accessible to the disabled, and there's a large parking lot (I believe municipal), mostly used by a nearby healthcare facility. Prices are average. If you're coming from the station, I recommend walking a bit further and stopping here before heading south into the historic center.

07/04/2026: We went on Saturday for the first time, it was a little difficult to find, but it was worth it. The lady who served us was friendly, serious but friendly. We ate well, but the fish we ordered wasn't good, we didn't like it, but everything else was delicious.

16/02/2026: The two of us had a Belvedere appetizer and it was a satisfying dish that I would recommend, but the spaghetti with both clams and fish were a little overcooked and salty, the dessert, which we had a cicheik each, was very good, impeccable service, a place with a warm atmosphere, pleasant for me, prices in line with the norm

13/04/2026: I've ordered gluten-free pizza from this pizzeria several times, with home delivery (by phone). I have to say it's one of the best gluten-free pizzas I've ever had. The dough is perfect, the right size (not smaller than usual), the dough is firm and elastic, with crispy edges. It's simply perfect, and every time I've ordered it, it has always been. The delivery drivers are always punctual and helpful, and the prices are excellent. Every time I'm in Vicenza, I do everything I can to get pizza here... What can I say? Thank you for doing justice to us celiacs!
