30/09/2025: Old hotel but updated. it seems to be an odd mixture of British and oriental but it is in Venice. Beautiful outdoor areas with dining and bar options. There are many different areas to gather. We found a gorgeous glass gazebo in the garden with lemon trees and seating for 2.

29/09/2025: This hotel was beautiful and situated in a pretty location but it did not seem like a 5 star hotel at all. The first room we were given had a shower that was completely covered in mold and only half of the shower head had water coming out. They gave us a new room which was much better but overall the room was pretty standard. Nothing crazy. The staff was a mixed bag. Several members of the front staff were incredibly rude during our stay and just acted very passive aggressive towards us during the stay. They were also unfriendly when I asked about charges included in our bill. Also keep in mind if you are coming from the train station or airport ~ this hotel is VERY far. Overall, for what we paid I was unhappy with the stay and would not stay here again.

28/08/2025: Harley's Pub in Dolo (VE) is the perfect example of how passion can transform into a unique experience. Born from the idea of ​​two friends with a shared love of motorcycles and good food, this place manages to combine both in an authentic and welcoming atmosphere. The sandwiches are a true work of art: beautiful to look at and even better to taste, so much so that they make you want one even if you're not hungry. The service is quick and efficient, but above all, the staff is extremely kind and helpful, ready to offer advice with a smile. The beer selection is amazing: just tell the waiter your tastes and he'll bring you the perfect glass, which will always prove to be a perfect and delicious choice. The location adds an extra touch: with attention to detail, it exudes warmth and passion, and the outdoor space is simply fantastic for enjoying an evening with friends. A place that's not only worth a visit, but one that will make you want to return again and again. A true reference point for those who love good food, quality beer, and a convivial atmosphere.

17/08/2025: On August 17 at around 8:47 pm, we wanted to spontaneously stop at a restaurant with two families (a total of ten people, including small children) as we passed by in the rain. Unfortunately, our experience was more than disappointing. After the first waitress asked us if we wanted to eat (which we confirmed), we received a rather odd look. Shortly afterward, a second waitress came and asked the exact same question again, even though we had just confirmed we wanted to eat. In the meantime, we had to rearrange the tables and chairs ourselves to get out of the rain and move into the covered area. When the same question came for the third time—whether we really wanted to eat—we honestly felt quite unwelcome. As we decided to leave, we overheard the waitress at the next table speaking about us in a rather condescending tone. When we addressed her about it, all we got was a curt “okay,” and she disappeared back into the restaurant. Overall, the staff’s behavior was very rude and unprofessional. Friendly service should be a given for any restaurant, especially when families with hungry children are involved. Unfortunately, what we experienced here was quite the opposite. We hope the restaurant works on its service so future guests will be treated better.

12/09/2025: We ordered two pizzas, buffalo biltong and arugula. There were four of us. It was a wonderful lunch, with beer and the house's sparkling white wine! I recommend it!

13/10/2025: Such an incredible night! The Owner and staff work hard to create an authentic and memorable experience! Beautiful and clean restaurant! We trusted Joseph and he took our menus and brought out incredible dish after incredible dish. True Traditional Venetian food!! It was our last stop before heading back to the US after a month in Italy and what a way to end it!! First my wife and Shared a seafood platter of local caught shellfish next, we both had an incredible clam pasta then, each of us had a whole fish with the traditional grilled polenta cake with mixed grilled veggies (so good). We were stuffed at this point but had to get one last tiramisu before leaving Italy and it did not disappoint!! We shared a bottle of local a White wine, and throughout the entire meal they kept bringing out complimentary digestifs. You will not leave hungry or thirsty!! We’d come back to Venice just to eat here and experience the wonderful food of Ristorante Antica Sacrestia one more time!

11/10/2025: The owner, an elderly Italian gentleman, checks the presentation of the dishes before serving them. The owner was very kind and served us even though we didn't have a reservation. In fact, after offering us a nice table inside, we asked to dine in the patio, a very romantic and peaceful spot. The restaurant's atmosphere is exquisitely quiet, beautifully decorated, and the food is excellent value for money. We spent four days in Venice, and it's our favorite restaurant. While we waited five minutes for our table to be prepared, we were offered a welcome cocktail.

09/10/2025: We've been coming here to eat at least once a year for years. The restaurant has continually improved over the years. The staff were always friendly and quick. The food and its presentation have also become more and more appealing. We were there again yesterday. It was very good. The food was very good. The air conditioning made us feel even more at home. However, nothing works without a reservation. Many thanks to the team there. It was a lovely evening... so, today, September 16, 2025, we were in the restaurant again. The food was once again perfect. Tuna and Filetto di Manzo, as well as the starter, were all very fine. Prosecco was very fair at €19. It was really good. So again, top value for money. Plus, the restrooms are completely renovated. Everything is modern. We'd love to come back. We'll be back on September 17, 2025. We went again at the end of our stay in Caorle. The tuna was just as good as the day before. Top quality at a fair price of €24 per person. See you next year. I've also raised the rating accordingly.😉

07/10/2025: When making a reservation, we were not informed that there was a charge for booking a table, as we left an extra 10 euros for the waiter when paying the bill and there was another 10 euros for the reservation on the bill for the food. This is not done and customers should be informed.

08/06/2025: Great ice cream shop! Lots of flavors and good ice cream, plus the staff is very kind and friendly. The strength of this place is the quality, quantity and price ratio: honest price, tasty ice cream and the scoops are abundant. Really good, I'll be back!

09/10/2025: We went twice during a business trip, and the trattoria was a pleasant discovery! The raw fish was fresh and delicious, but what really left us satisfied was the turbot with potatoes: exceptional. The owner is very helpful and welcoming, and the service was great. We'll be back!

11/10/2025: A pleasant welcome and professional staff. We were seated on the outdoor terrace, but the experience quickly soured: invaded by mosquitoes, we had to cut our meal short before dessert. The dishes remain beautifully presented, but the portions have significantly shrunk. The €25 plate of fried seafood lacked flavor and accompaniments, and the €6 grilled vegetables were limited to a few pieces. In short, pleasant service but disappointing value for money. The establishment has lost its generosity and quality compared to previous years.

07/10/2025: I stay at a lot of Hilton hotels (I’m Diamond status with them) and just checked into the Hilton Molino Stucky Venice. I am completely regretting my decision to stay here. First, it would have been nice if the hotel sent a message before arrival to provide you with transportation options since taxis can’t take you to the hotel. It’s on an island so you have to take a water taxi. After discovering on my own that I could not take an Uber there (a very angry Uber driver let me know that getting to the island is impossible), I reached out to the hotel and then they sent me a message stating that I could have booked a private water taxi in-advance. Well, I would have if they had sent me a message in advance. Instead, I wandered around the airport looking for a way to get to the hotel. A local was kind enough to help me book a public water taxi. Finally, I arrive at the hotel and they state that they have given me an upgraded room. Which is super nice, right?! Wrong. I get to the room, it’s tiny but hey it’s Europe. Then I go look around for water and there’s none to be found (bottled water is pretty standard at Hiltons especially for Diamond status members). Then I look for a luggage rack, not one of those either. But do you know what they did leave for me? A plug-in to kill bugs. Also, a broken mini-fridge. Pictures are below. I couldn’t make this stuff up if I tried. They did offer to move me to a different room but it’s almost midnight at this point, and I just want to sleep. Which might be hard to do with the noisy A/C. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Book somewhere else!!! Update: The bathrooms also need to be upgraded. The hinges on the shower-head and mirror are loose so they don’t hold in the right position. The shower also floods the bathroom floor. Sigh. On the plus side, the staff at the concierge desk are incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. Response to the Hotel’s response: I attached a photo of the email you all sent. Please note that it does not mention water taxi travel options. I keep receipts, so try again. I never complained about the view in my room as I don’t care for a view. I’m only in my room to shower, change, and sleep. I also love how you say that you upgraded me as if that makes things better. It makes me sad to think that the room I booked could actually be worse. You failed to note the broken fridge, and the issues with the bathroom. There’s also the noisy A/C. Yes, this is Venice and tourists will come regardless of how you treat them. I will just choose to stay elsewhere next time. Final review: I checked out this morning and could not be happier to be leaving this hotel. I still had a lovely time in Venice, but it would have been much better if I had stayed elsewhere. While most of the staff were helpful, management here is a problem. On top of their empty response to my initial review, this morning I asked for a cup of tea to-go (noting that they said a waiter would come to the table and ask if I wanted tea or coffee while having breakfast and no one ever did but they were busy so it’s fine). The gentleman who seemed to be more of a manager pointed me over to the to-go coffee area. I noted that there is only coffee there and I would like tea if possible to which he replied fine but there is tea in your room. Then while I was waiting for the tea, another guest asked for tea to-go (so maybe they should just put some tea out by the coffee station) and I hear him complain that no one seems to want coffee today. His attitude reflects the quality of this hotel… poor. Do better.

07/10/2025: The hotel itself is typical European style. The history is interesting and even though a water taxi is needed to get to the “main attractions” it was very convenient and free. Also, the concierge was great-he set us up on a glass blowing tour to Murano for free. This issues are the staff are not welcoming and we felt like we were a nuisance. They were vey kind to upgrade our room; however the room had large poles in the middle and in very awkward spaces (couldn’t get to the bathroom unless you squeezed by a large pole-trying doing that in the middle of the night!). The air did not work in the bedroom which we let them know right away. They never fixed it or gave us an update until we mentioned again on our last night (we were there for 5 nights). They informed us late that they couldn’t fix it but offered a fan service much helped a little but we were sleep deprived from the other 4 nights. The rooftop bar is very beautiful-the first night they were off in service but we went back and it was fabulous. The workout area was adequate and nice to be able to get some workouts in. The breakfast buffet is good with many many options. Overall, hospitality is their main business and they missed that important part during our stay. We were very disappointed.

02/09/2025: Arrogant waiters who can't say please or thank you. I've never been served worse than in this restaurant. The food was okay, but we definitely won't be coming back because of the service.

13/10/2025: Food was very unique but not tasty at all. I can’t think of a single dish I really enjoyed and a lot of it was plain unpleasant. The venue was beautiful. No one offered us a drinks list and the sommelier who was meant to come over never did so we didn’t get drinks. They make you tell them two courses in advance if you want to use the toilet which is overkill in my opinion.

13/10/2025: The only question to ask yourself before eating at Venissa is: am I ready? Venissa isn't a culinary experience, but much more. Before beginning the tasting experience, you need to understand and appreciate the restaurant's concept: respect for local cuisine, respect for the local area, and for raw materials in all their forms, the use of uncommon ingredients, and the ability to see beyond. That said, Venissa offers two tasting experiences that change frequently depending on what the local area has to offer at any given time. The cuisine is primarily fish and vegetable-based. Homemade produce is the estate's strong point. The ingredients aren't necessarily high-quality, but they're treated with respect and creativity, minimizing waste. The staff is young and highly trained, each capable of engaging you emotionally in the experience. The beverage pairings are highly refined, and the evolution of the food is emphasized by the diverse products offered, not just wine but also drinks, kombucha, beer, cider, and more. An elegant location that reflects the concept of respect for materials and nature, everything in harmony, nothing left to chance. We will never stop thanking you for the wonderful experience.
