08/12/2025: I must admit that when I booked this restaurant, I was very hesitant after seeing the rather poor reviews. Sometimes, however, it's best not to trust other people's reviews too much. For me: A 10 ambiance, elegant, 1980s-style but meticulously maintained. Food: A 10: the spaghetti with spider crab was delicious, and among the desserts, the nougat semifreddo deserves a special mention, truly exceptional. Service: A 8: friendly and attentive staff; perhaps the wait times were a bit long, but on a festival day like the Immaculate Conception, with the restaurant packed, it's understandable to wait a bit longer than necessary. Finally, the value for money was definitely favorable.

18/11/2025: First of all, the place was half empty. My partner and I entered at 9:15 pm, we ordered 1 spaghetti with clams each and I stopped there. It was absolutely the worst I've ever eaten, tasteless, and the clams were almost all closed. I paid 17 euros per dish... 1 piece of rubbish... that if I wasn't accompanied I would have made him eat it. I strongly advise against it. The professionalism is 0, so much so that the starving man didn't even get it, not to mention the fried food full of oil brought without having ordered it... we had ordered 1 grill... and the bread made by them was raw😂😂😂, the only saving grace was the mixed salad. One of the worst places I've eaten.

09/08/2025: A €12 breakfast (two cold cappuccinos and two croissants) to be called "raggedy." The waitress rudely reprimanded us for charging our phone next to the fire extinguisher, citing vague "Italian safety regulations," and then closing the French window of the living room where we were eating—as if she wanted to prevent us from leaving?! Referring to "all these raggedy people in Venice these days," she looked at us sideways. Immediately afterward, she began talking about us loudly to other customers in the next room, evidently thinking we didn't understand the language. Too bad we're Italian and we heard and understood everything. Did my colorful scarf or my tired look after the trip make us "suspicious"? We might as well have been denied entry; we would have saved ourselves the cold cappuccinos they served us. A humiliating and offensive experience. Avoid this place if you're looking for kindness, respect, or even just a hot cappuccino.

26/11/2025: I got some take-out pizzas, excellent pizza, quality dough and ingredients, the staff is very kind and welcoming.

25/09/2025: Absolutely rude. The owners, in particular, showed no respect for the customer. A terrible example for employees and collaborators. A pizza that's neither good nor bad.

17/10/2025: After eating a kebab I had a poop spray for 2 days I literally threw up the kebab plus I was screaming in pain I thought I had to go to the emergency room

15/12/2025: The food is quite good. Rather than KFC or American-style fast food, Rana is definitely better.

25/10/2025: A great experience at the Giovanni Rana Restaurant at Valecenter! The dishes are very good, carefully prepared, and offer a wide variety of choices. The portions aren't huge, but the menus are very reasonably priced, allowing you to save money without sacrificing quality. Excellent service: friendly, fast, and always helpful staff. The only downside is the coffee—perhaps we were unlucky, but we found it undrinkable and burnt. We'll definitely be back, perhaps getting our coffee elsewhere!

21/08/2025: Average food...truthfully...but the service is quite discriminatory...they have a menu for tourists...but if you are Italian it is special for them...my husband ordered a "Milanese" for the 2nd course, which was a chicken breast as thin as a slice of ham...but it just so happens that the table next to us who were Italian had a normal-sized Milanese...so if you don't want to be taken for a ride at all, I recommend eating here.

12/08/2025: This is a tourist trap, as most of the restaurants in Venice, especially close to the train station. I had a lunch here because i wasn’t able to move too far at that time. The prices are quite high but compared with other restaurants is okay. I had a lasagna, nothing special but okay. Maybe the portion could had be bigger.

16/09/2025: Cappuccino for two euros and that's all I'll say. 300 meters further on, towards Alberoni, is Pasticceria Caldara.

17/08/2025: At rush hour it's hard to stay there but otherwise everything is excellent. I ordered a hot cappuccino without foam with 37 degrees of heat and the lady prepared it for me as I requested. I like it hot and I can never get it quick.
