23/08/2024: We picked this restaurant because it has lovely views over the water and they offered pizzas and pasta options - we thought that Italians cooking Italian can’t go wrong but we really wish we looked on Tripadvisor first :( I ordered tagliatelle bolognese and a pizza and my wife ordered a pizza. Service was fine and pretty quick but we weren’t in any rush as just wanted to enjoy our last night in Venice The pizzas were both ok but far from standards of other pizzerias in the area. They were also soggy in the middle but nothing scary. Then the tagliatelle bolognese came out, it had a really weird taste - nothing tasty like other restaurants make and I noticed it was microwaved straightaway due to it being red hot on the outside and cold in the middle. I thought it’s still edible though and mixed it together to make it warm but I really wish I had sent it back then… I’ll never make that mistake again Roughly 5 hours after eating I felt the need to be sick in intervals of roughly 30 minutes between them. It was waking me up and causing havoc, made worse even still when my body decided to be sick out the other end too, was pretty horrific to be fair. This carried on through the night and slowly stopped nearer check out time at the hotel. I’ve been left to feel weak, and my body is a wreck after this experience with the restaurant. My wife hasn’t experienced any of these symptoms and is perfectly fine - the only thing she didn’t eat was the bolognese which is why we are honing in on that being the reason for this review Would advise everyone to stay well away here. This is totally unacceptable and had we had more days in Venice I would be taking this up directly with the owners of the restaurant. Please stay well clear!

27/09/2024: Najlepsze jedzenie jakiekolwiek jadłam. Kebab nieziemsko dobry i sycący, pizza bogata i dobrze wypieczona, a makaron wspaniały, nie mówiąc już o przekąskach. Pozycje zgodne z obrazkami w menu. Czysta uczta dla kubków smakowych. Pozdrawiamy ❤️

06/01/2025: All very good, we found this place by chance, passing through, the cicchetti are very good, the mozzarella in carrozza with the anchovy paste is very good and stringy, the spritz in my opinion needs improvement, the guys are very nice and the quality is right for the price! We are forever in Venice.

02/01/2025: Owner Valentina and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Try the vast CICCHETTI assortment and the excellent cocktails. Excellent location and wonderful square outside. 🔝🥂

After a stroll through the vibrant streets, we decided to pop in for some food and drinks, and we’re so glad we did! The pizza was fantastic—crispy, fresh, and topped with just the right balance of ingredients. It’s simple, honest food done well, and it hit the spot after a day of sightseeing. We paired it with a glass of red wine, which was smooth and satisfying, and a classic Spritz, which was perfectly refreshing. The service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy and quaint. The vibe at Bar Palmisano is relaxed and welcoming, making it a great place to take a break, chat, and enjoy your food without feeling rushed. And the best part? It was incredibly inexpensive—such great value for the quality of the food and drinks, especially in such a beautiful spot like Burano. Whether you’re in the mood for a casual pizza, a drink, or just a place to relax while soaking in the local charm, Bar Palmisano is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re on the island! Highly recommend this lovely, hidden gem.

07/11/2024: Great espresso and great breakfast. I can't say anything about the rest of the food, but I was often here in the morning and was warmly welcomed and the quality was always top.

07/12/2024: The spritz is 12€ so expensive in Italy but there are at least 3 doses of alcohol and it’s the best spritz I’ve had. Accompanied by a slice of citrus fruit, an olive (very tasty) and a beautiful setting, I highly recommend the place.

22/11/2024: Excellent place that gives you a smile with the help of alcohol...aside from the jokes, a very busy bar, excellent spritzes and cicchetti, many tourists located under the Rialto bridge and next to the Grand Canal, the cost is normal but...you come on holiday ready to spend otherwise we stay at home..😁😁😁...jokes aside, very nice place

18/11/2024: The most expensive bar I have been to in Venice. Look at the price menu before entering, we didn't do it and we paid €18 for 2 beers inside a poorly maintained bar without any type of attraction. It is next to the Accademia Bridge which is far from St. Mark's Square. I have been to better places in more central locations and although Venice is expensive, there is nothing like the Foscarini. At least with us the waitress behaved correctly. My recommendation is to avoid it if you don't want to feel scammed.

09/11/2024: To flee!!! Thieves!!!! 8 € 2 espressos in a very poorly maintained room... I prefer not to describe the toilets. 2 glasses of hot water! 2 inedible cookies! And, I'm not talking about the non-existent friendliness....
