28/02/2025: Creative gourmet cuisine in a unique setting The Vetri restaurant, which opened in September last year, is exceptional in every respect. It is located in a lavishly renovated corner building of the former Conterie di Murano glass factory, now called Punto Conterie. The historic building is now a cultural and historical interface in which there is a bistro, a design bookstore with a glass art shop, a green boutique with floristry and fragrances, a bistro café and the gourmet restaurant Vetri. The restaurant is located on the upper floor of the building and can be reached via stairs or a modern elevator. The Vetri has a very nice terrace that offers a unique view of Murano and the canals. In addition to the restaurant, the Punto Conterie exhibition rooms are also located on this floor. Changing exhibitions related to the cultural history of Murano take place there. In the Vetri restaurant, creative fish dishes of the highest standard are prepared by the 26-year-old chef John Mark Nanit. The young Italo-Filipino learned his craft in, among other places, Scandinavian star restaurants and implemented this knowledge creatively with a reference to local products. The result is overwhelming: after the visit, we were sure that we had visited one of the best gourmet restaurants in Venice. For us personally it was the top culinary experience of the year. The organic egg cooked at 62 degrees with black truffles and baby spinach from the neighboring island of Sant' Erasmo as well as the halved paccheri filled with red shrimps, raw North Adriatic scampi and a sauce made from Venetian Caparossoli vongole with crispy quinoa and sepia cream were great culinary cinema. The main courses also impressed with product quality, freshness and taste: turbot on Sant' Erasmo spinach with tapioca-sepia crisp and a mussel emulsion as well as red tuna on celery with Japanese katsuobashi tuna flakes in nut butter - the taste experience cannot be described! We were so impressed by the aromatic dishes that we almost forgot about the creative desserts, the modern, elegant, high-quality ambience and the very friendly service.... The moderate bill at the end confirmed the impression that Vetri is an insider tip for gourmets in Venice. We wish the restaurant team that it receives the international recognition and awards that it undoubtedly deserves. Be sure to visit!

20/12/2024: Great restaurant with charming staff and wonderful atmosphere.

03/09/2024: We were there twice and unfortunately disappointed with the service. On the first visit, 1 dish was forgotten. The second time we waited forever until the order was taken. Then 2 dishes were delivered and after they were almost eaten, we asked about the 2 outstanding meals. The answer was an annoyed huff and then the missing food was brought without comment. It's clear that there's a lot going on at the weekend and it gets stressful, but that's probably not how it works... But luckily there are other kiosks where everything works better.

25/08/2024: Salad as you want, for €11 a generous bowl with lots of choice. We can compare it to a poke (without rice). Price ok, location ok, bathrooms I don't know. Perhaps the service was a little slow in squandering. I would happily stay here again

24/02/2025: La grande maleducazione non compensa ogni altra eventuale bontà. I veneziani passano davanti pagando in contanti. Con fare infastidito dicono che anche eventuali informazioni su intolleranza al glutine le danno solo dopo la fila.

12/02/2025: Abbiamo ordinato un box di fritto è una mozzarella con acciughe. Frittura molto buona e pesce fresco e di qualità. Unica pecca la frittura troppo salata. Personale super gentile e scelta di pietanze e di cibi tipici veneziani eccellente. Consigliato!

13/03/2025: Ho cenato in questo ristorante con amici un po’ di tempo fa (vedi data visita) e volevo esprimere il mio parere su questo ristorante. Il posto l’ho trovato un po’ stretto, piccolo e leggermente caotico dato che comunque c’è poco spazio e si è molto vicini con i tavoli. L’ambiente è accogliente e il servizio a tavola dove ti preparano la tartare è una coccola. Io ho ordinato il filetto al pepe verde che non mi ha fatto dire wow…anzi aveva diversi nervi all’interno della carne e l’ho trovato nella media. Poi ci siamo divisi la tartare e si era buona ma anche questa niente di che, idem per la carne alla brace che poi infine ti cucini sulla piastra. Prezzi un po’ alti ma ormai per la carne questo si spende. Insomma senza infamia e senza lode.

30/03/2025: Ristorante-pizzeria dello stesso albergo, bella sala, tranquilla. Buonissime le pizze, discreto il menu pesce, ottimo il vino della casa. Ritorneremo.

01/12/2024: Avevo già provato altre gelateria di questa catena sempre con molta soddisfazione. Anche questa conferma il mio ottimo giudizio. Ho preso fiordilatte e caramello salato, entrambi eccellenti. Prezzi nella media. Personale molto gentile.

22/02/2025: We came here out of desperation looking for a place that wasn't overcrowded (I understand why). They charge you 10 euros for a pasta in a cardboard box and they fill it HALF, I repeat, for 10 euros. Also, it was good, yes, but nothing out of this world, because of my hangover I make better pasta.

23/04/2025: Con la mia famiglia, attratti dal bellissimo locale, abbiamo deciso di fare colazione presso questo caffè. Ritengo che i prezzi, assolutamente elevati, necessitino anche per mantenere immutato nel tempo tutta questa architettonica bellezza. Tuttavia, a fronte di un generale servizio votato a far sentire il cliente in un luogo speciale, purtroppo non è mancato un dipendente in giacca rossa che pur chiamato gentilmente con "scusi", pur avendo dimostrato di aver udito ha ritenuto di non girarsi nemmeno e tirare dritto per la sua strada. Peccato che gli sforzi della proprietà e dei colleghi dotati di professionalità, possano essere vanificato da certi atteggiamenti
