The waitresses' kindness makes up for the welcoming manners of the people behind the counter (who I believe are the managers). In any case, the food is good, so I recommend it. Also because it's one of the few places I've found that's always open, even in the off-season.

We dined at Karl's Keller one evening in early May (one of the few open in Sappada during the low season) and, after a short wait, we were pleasantly surprised by the friendly service and the quality of the dinner. We ordered three appetizers, two first courses, and two second courses (the spaetzle and venison with sauerkraut are unmissable) between the three of us, and we spent about 90 euros with wine and coffee. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the service was quick, and the quality was excellent. We'll definitely be back.

24/01/2026: What an absolute treasure this place is. Spent 5 days skiing with Tiziana and being treated to superb hospitality by Gianluca and his team. The accomodations were comfortable and the dinners were delicious (thank you Carmine!) ... And the views each morning (see pictures) were simply stunning. If you have a chance to go and stay here during the winter ski season ... JUST DO IT and thank me later!

02/04/2026: We went there for dinner. We had an excellent scorpion fish fillet. I must say, it was really good. Nice atmosphere, background music at the right volume. Attentive service with thoughtful courtesy. I'll be back. I recommend it.
