The dishes you expect in a starred restaurant, served in a welcoming and informal environment with kindness and a smile. All very good, particular and refined combinations in the starters, first and second courses. The pizzas are also excellent.

Fuori nevicava ed ora ora di cena: il locale, ricoperto dalla neve era super accogliente, quello che ti sogni mentre fuori c'è il freddo... un antipasto di polpo in montangna non te lo aspetti ed invece era buonissimo e fatto con amore: idem lo spezzatino (bollito come preferite) di carne... un caffè e via dentro la tormenta. Locale onesto, ottima atmosfera e cucina ottima. Consigliato

We learned about it many years ago through the dear and professional maestro Carlo. Since that time it has been a point of reference for the excellent menu, service and friendliness in our visits to Sappada.

Value for money let's say average for the place. Quality ok. The desserts are also good. Very fast service. An initial somewhat rude welcome at the entrance which left us feeling a bit like this and I still didn't understand why to let off steam on customers but as Dante said "don't worry about them but look and pass"😎 in fact overall it's ok.

Locale tipico Sappadino, pizza molto buona, tagliolini al ragù do cervo fenomenali! Servizio dolci (presi ad Agosto) straordinari!

02/04/2024: The place is magnificent, we ate very particular things, not all of which we liked, but due to personal taste, the lasagna was good but the portions were too small, the prices were too excessive, the service was not very friendly.
10/03/2024: Cozy and quiet place. Truly excellent flavors and combinations, and kind and smiling staff, made our lunch truly peaceful and pleasant.

04/09/2023: Run by young, very good guys. Very clean and well-kept place. Excellent desserts as well as wine and drinks. Wonderful nature.
26/08/2023: Rifugio caratteristico del luogo, stupendo in un contesta meraviglioso con il suo laghetto in mezzo al bosco. Per le camere non saprei dato che ci sono stato a pranzo. Per cibo potete andare ad occhi chiusi. Assaggiate diverse portate, tagliere affettati e formaggi buonissimo, tagliolini alla trota.. pappardelle al cervo e tartufo.. spaghetti alla chitarra al tartufo nero.. tutto delizioso. È un po' faticoso arrivarci, ma è consigliata la prenotazione perché è sempre pieno specie in alta stagione. Ci sarà un motivo se anche è complicato arrivarci è sempre pieno. Ci si può arrivare in bici o a piedi parcheggiando a Campo di Sotto o al parcheggio dopo il lago Pianozes. Esiste un servizio jeep che ti porta direttamente al rifugio. Oppure dal primo tornante del Falzarego (però non ho mai provato)
