We stumbled upon it by chance the first time we travelled to Verona, and now whenever we travel through Italy, we make a point of stopping in Verona to go to this restaurant. The food is delicious and beautifully presented, and there’s a wide selection. The first time we went was for lunch on a weekend; it was very crowded then, so I’d recommend making a reservation on weekends. The last time we went was for lunch on a weekday; the restaurant wasn’t too busy then.

05/05/2026: Excellent staff, but questionable value I decided to try Saporè Downtown, intrigued by the format and the restaurant's reputation. The most positive aspect was undoubtedly the welcome: the staff was extremely kind and helpful, the true highlight of the evening. The restaurant is very tastefully decorated, but I found the table setting to be excessively sparse and rudimentary. This is inconsistent with the €2.50 cover charge, despite the welcome gift of a small sample of bread and olive oil. The menu focuses heavily on pizzas (including their special formats) and few main courses; I missed appetizers or small tastings to start the dinner. As for the classic round pizzas, while I recognize the excellent quality of the ingredients, I didn't find them memorable. The prices (between €14 and €17 for those options) seem excessive, in my opinion, for the overall experience. Finally, the "distance" from the much-hyped Maestro Pizzaiolo is a bit disappointing: after so much emphasis on his research, not seeing him in action takes away some of the magic from the story. An interesting experience worth having once, but I don't think I'll be back.

04/06/2026: Castle Brando is definitely worth a visit. Whether you come for a delicious pizza, a local tiramisu, or a full meal, you are unlikely to be disappointed. The food is very good and, surprisingly, not as expensive as you might expect from such a beautiful setting. Even if you are not hungry, it is worth stopping by to admire the castle itself and enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding landscape. If you are looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion, spend time with friends or family, or enjoy a romantic dinner, Castle Brando is an excellent choice. 31/05/2026: During our vacation in Torri del Benaco, we tried several restaurants – we even went to La Bacchessa twice because it was by far our favorite. The homemade pasta deserves special mention; it's expertly prepared and absolutely delicious. The other dishes were also of very high quality and prepared with great care. On both visits, the staff was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and very efficient, making us feel completely at ease. For us, La Bacchessa was the best restaurant we visited in Torri del Benaco. If you appreciate delicious, authentic Italian cuisine, homemade pasta, and warm service, this is the place for you. We'll definitely be back on our next Lake Garda vacation! 🍝🇮🇹

16/05/2026: Ristorante Darì is a true gem in the heart of Verona. Every detail is meticulously crafted, from the elegant decor to the impeccable and attentive service. The internal garden is a wonderful gem, an oasis of peace in the historic center. I tried the tasting menu: sublime cuisine, based on the highest-quality ingredients. Honorable mention goes to the tartare and the Amarone risotto, which absolutely won me over. Everything was simply perfect and excellent. Highly recommended!

10/05/2026: A very nice restaurant. The food and service were perfect! The owner even greeted us personally. It's close to the city center, so it's easy to get to. I even received a birthday greeting with a candle. We'll definitely be back.

Recommended for anyone who truly wants to try something different and delve into REAL vegetarian-vegan cuisine, not just the cheesy dishes or vegan imitations of meat or fish. The dishes are all balanced and very enjoyable (special mention goes to the fantastic dessert and the risotto). The five-course menu is perfect for discovering unusual ingredients and techniques. The service is extremely polite, elegant, and always smiling. The restaurant is very elegant, and you can sense the refinement and harmony. It's wonderful to go "blind" and be surprised, with an equally unique wine list and a selection of teas, kombucha, water kefir, and liqueurs (including non-alcoholic ones). I'll definitely be back (as a super omnivore, finally a real alternative that makes me want to come back and try again)!

They produce their own wines which were full of flavor, we had the ripasso and the amarone. Yet to try their sparkling wines. Very kind staff, chef and owners!! Worth the detour! Also nice views of the valley. Definitely recommend the place! Entrance is down the stairs.

19/04/2026: A gem in the Illasi Valley. A welcoming restaurant with very friendly and helpful staff. The dishes are carefully crafted and locally sourced, accompanied by an excellent selection of wines. The view of the Valpolicella hills is splendid.
