23/02/2025: On Saturday 15 February, my wife and I, together with a couple of friends from Palermo, had dinner at "Ciccio in Pentola", located in the heart of the historic Kalsa neighborhood in Palermo. The restaurant offers a refined, welcoming and relaxed, but at the same time refined, atmosphere, ideal for enjoying delicious dishes in a comfortable and trendy environment. We started with an appetizer of very fresh raw meat, excellently assorted and carefully presented. As a first course, the prawn pasta was amazing: the prawns were present both in the sauce and whole on the pasta, offering a rich and authentic flavour. To conclude, the decomposed cannoli with ricotta was the best I have ever tasted in Palermo. The wine list is extensive and well selected, and the owner, Eugenio, gave us excellent advice on how to best pair our dishes. The service was impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff. The clientele present was made up of respectable people and international tourists, contributing to a pleasant and cosmopolitan atmosphere. In summary, “Ciccio in Pentola” represents an obligatory stop for those who want to immerse themselves in the Sicilian culinary tradition revisited with creativity, in an elegant and welcoming context. We can't wait to return to savor other delights on their menu.

23/02/2025: Sabato 15 febbraio, mia moglie ed io, insieme a una coppia di amici palermitani, abbiamo cenato presso “Ciccio in Pentola”, situato nel cuore del quartiere storico della Kalsa a Palermo. Il ristorante offre un’atmosfera curata, accogliente e rilassata, ma al contempo raffinata, ideale per gustare piatti prelibati in un ambiente confortevole e alla moda. Abbiamo iniziato con un antipasto di crudo freschissimo, ottimamente assortito e presentato con cura. Come primo, la pasta ai gamberi è stata strepitosa: i gamberi erano presenti sia nel sugo che interi sulla pasta, offrendo un sapore ricco e autentico. Per concludere, il cannolo scomposto con ricotta è stato il migliore che abbia mai assaggiato a Palermo. La carta dei vini è ampia e ben selezionata, e il proprietario, Eugenio, ci ha fornito consigli eccellenti per abbinare al meglio i nostri piatti. Il servizio è stato impeccabile, con personale attento e cordiale. La clientela presente era composta da persone perbene e turisti internazionali, contribuendo a un’atmosfera piacevole e cosmopolita. In sintesi, “Ciccio in Pentola” rappresenta una tappa obbligata per chi desidera immergersi nella tradizione culinaria siciliana rivisitata con creatività, in un contesto elegante e accogliente. Non vediamo l’ora di tornare per assaporare altre delizie del loro menu.

30/03/2025: A paradise for vegans and those with lactose intolerance. They offer seven or eight vegan varieties, such as pistachio, coconut, vanilla, and chocolate – varieties that you won't find anywhere else vegan or lactose-free. They even have vegan brioche. The owner is super friendly and helpful; highly recommended.

10/03/2025: I've known this pizzeria for several years, when I'm in the area I'm happy to stop by because it keeps the quality of the dough and ingredients high. The place is very nice, simple not pompous, the service is quick and efficient, everyone is very precise and kind. An excellent pizzeria with a quality/price ratio of times gone by! A round of applause for the fried pizzas which are fabulous!!

23/03/2025: I visited the place in the evening, so I couldn't enjoy the view of our Conca D'oro, but apart from that, the place is made up of various rooms divided by sheets, but I didn't like the various differences in level in the floor. I didn't try the pizza as the chosen menu included other courses. In the rooms next to ours, there were other tables, with families with young children who as usual went around disturbing the other diners, so a negative experience, through no fault of the owner. Overall I would give a passing score. On another day I will try the pizza, also to be able to complete my evaluation.
