11/10/2024: Sono ritornata dopo diversi anni….qualità ottima…cannolo riempito sul momento…paradisiaco!!c’è la possibilità di fare la colazione con caffè e cappucci da asporto ,da consumare nei pochi tavoli a disposizione.

09/03/2025: Nel corso del tempo il Panificio Laganà si è evoluto enormemente e ciò per merito del titolare da sempre attento alla genuinità dei prodotti ed alla necessità di migliorarsi. Vengono custodite le ricette tradizionali che fanno della gastronomia un punto di riferimento per gusto e leggerezza. La scelta dei rustici e del pane è rilevante e tende, ogni giorno, ad accontentare ogni palato. A mio avviso la migliore focaccia di Messina. Il personale attento e disponibile. Da consigliare anche per la precisione del catering.

17/02/2025: On Saturday I ordered focaccia, arancini, pythons and San Daniele disappointing, delivery late and inedible, horrible frying of the arancini and the focaccia to be thrown away. . Thank you

26/10/2024: Best pizza I've ever had. Heavy weight, stuffy, cheese tasty, not too salty, ingredients first class. Had Siciliana with extra ham on top. Make sure to bring friends along when you order the biggest size, it's barely manageable by two people.

06/04/2025: Alas, a lot of smoke and not much roast. A place that, before thinking about the internal design of the room, should review the basic organization that allows you to run a restaurant. An hour and a half of waiting for two first courses with not even half the room occupied, and then only one arrived and we had to wait at least another 20 minutes for the other, but at that point we refused it. The saddest thing was having to witness the indifference of almost all the waiters having noticed the customer waiting for a long time, without approaching to ask if something was missing, only responding to our complaint as soon as we decided to ask. At the checkout payment for the dish consumed with cover charge and drinks, without taking into account the damage that had been done, not so much to the customer left hungry and dissatisfied, but to themselves. Ps: A profession like this must first be based on a principle: respect and love for those who are choosing to enter and spend their money "in your home".

22/12/2024: Comfortable and characteristic place, ideal for gathering with friends, playing board games and good music, as in my case. I was not able to try the cuisine, whose menu was surprisingly very varied and the cocktails were good.

05/12/2024: Arriviamo a Catania dalla Sardegna ..... Pasticceria Siciliana ? Obbligatoria però ad una condizione ...cercare una delle pasticcerie più antiche e di prestigio come quelle trovate a Palermo ... Questo sogno permettete, è stato destinato solo esclusivamente a noi ..Vi racconto questa esperienza... Arriviamo in corso Umberto dove i Catanesi dai capelli bianchi ci hanno segnalato. Trovata la pasticceria. Una spruzzata di colori nei dolci come un quadro della nostra Sardegna ...ma nel vedere queste opere d'arte non dolci ma opere d'arte ti fa ricordare che la vita e bellissima.... Accompagnati per mano da una persona professionale non del tutto comune una Signora bionda se non ricordo male di nome Giusy che come una guida turistica ci faceva il racconto ingrediente per ingrediente di queste opere ...Assaggiamo i cannoli veri Siciliani,i Babà al rum e veri mignon delle creazioni preparate ......... Non dico più nulla ....un esplosione di sapori di gusti che sicuramente saranno risentiti ..... Grazie di cuore Signora Giusy per esistere e per averci regalato a me a 60 anni una esperienza così buona .... Provare per credere....... 22/03/2025: Why are you closed even though it’s 8:50 a.m.? It says that you open at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday... And yet, the shop is not open. This is not normal, in this case, you need to update your schedules on Google, to avoid people wasting their time. I'm not happy at all.

02/04/2025: Thank you for the fantastic dinner. Sweet and sour rabbit, meatballs with lemon leaf, homemade cheeses and finally a tart with lemon marmalade, served by the host himself. The house wine was exceptional

10/04/2025: A shocking experience from start to finish. I’ll keep to the facts: 1. We asked for a wine list but were only offered white or red. We opted for 3 x white, 2 x red and a beer. 2. The white poured was undrinkable - think vinegar. The red offered was rose. We specified red and on the second time poured it was still rose. 3. We yet again asked for a wine list but still not given one. The red finally arrived and yet again was undrinkable. 4. We were finally given a wine list and chose what we wanted. Both the white and the red wine were beautiful. 5. My husband’s beer (bottled Messina) tasted weird. On a closer look it was out of date by 3 months. 6. The food order taking was shambolic. The waiter had to check four times what we had ordered. 10 minutes later they came back and re-checked. The order was wrong. We worked yet again with the staff to confirm what we wanted - 1 x seabass with pistachio crumb, 2 x baked seabass, 1 x tuna, 2 x scampi pasta, 2 x potatoes and 1 x caponata. 7. The food arrived and the order was wrong. 3 x Seabass with pistachio crumb which was a cheap crumbed fried fish fillet on a bed of spinach and olives. 1 x tuna, 1 x scampi pasta, 1 x potatoes and 1 x caponata. 8. This meant one of our party was missing a meal, two had the wrong order and we were missing a side of potatoes. 9. 15 minutes later they said that the second scampi pasta was ready. By then we were over the experience and cancelled it. The second potatoes never arrived. 10. We asked for the bill. They tried to offer us gifts of wine or desert but we were ready to leave so politely declined. 11. When presented with the first bill there were a number of additional items included equating to €60 - most comically 5 fish (we only had 3, and 2 of those were wrong!). 12. It took 3 attempts to get the bill correct. 13. No compensation given with regards to a reduction in the bill and an insistence on us paying the cover charge. 14. I have never been to such a badly run, disorganised restaurant in any of the countries that I have travelled in, I have travelled widely. Unfortunately there are a couple of lovely waitresses that try and make life easier and more efficient but due to the egos of male owners the staff are not empowered to do so. I understand that there can be a language barrier when travelling to different countries and our Italian is limited to say the least. However, there are solutions around this and numbers on the menu seem to work elsewhere in Ortigio. Maybe this is something to consider.

12/04/2025: Evening full of customers who were repeatedly told "the pizzas are on the way out" or "we are on the way out". Final result? I went out, pizzas NEVER arrived after almost TWO hours of waiting.

12/04/2025: Waited for a table at opening time, to be told dismissively that any food would be at least an hour! But they are happy to sit you at a table - how does this make sense?

30/07/2024: The pasta here was the best we’ve had since moving to Sicily. The family was so nice and made sure we had everything we needed even with the language barrier. We ended up speaking with the owner through a translator app after dinner for an hour, it was great!! We will be back for sure!

04/04/2025: On our third day in Palermo we finally found a place where food was absolutely amazing! We took a caponata as a starter and it was by far the best one we tried during our 4 days in Palermo. Both pasta dishes were super tasty and full of seafood and the portions are more than enough! The staff was friendly and atentive to details. Really reccomend this restaurant!

03/04/2025: The food is so-so. I'm used to better. This shows that recessions don't always have a decisive impact.
