06/07/2025: The only thing I liked was that the sea was better than on the left side of the port, it got deeper faster. But that's not Lido's merit. I didn't like the paid area itself, as well as the staff. The sand was full of trash, not sifted or cleaned. Showers are paid, the toilet is bad.

04/07/2025: Very good location, on the beach, excellent food, friendly, respectful, involved staff. Everyone wants to make you feel satisfied, to appreciate their effort and their hospitality. A location where you always come back with great pleasure! Exceptional!!!🙏🏆❤️

11/08/2025: We chose Canarute restaurant for a business lunch specifically because it offered a gluten-free hamburger bun, a must-have for a colleague with celiac disease. Before booking, we had also called the restaurant to check availability, and it was confirmed. Once we arrived, however, we were informed that the bun was potentially contaminated because it was prepared in a single kitchen, with a single chef. We were very surprised and disappointed, especially since the restaurant had been specifically chosen with this in mind. Our colleague had to settle for a rather meager salad, and the atmosphere of the lunch was affected. To make matters worse, the cacio e pepe was excessively salty, making it difficult to enjoy, and the buns had little to no seasoning. In short, it wasn't the best lunch. Furthermore, when it came time to get the bill, some people ended up paying more than they should have. It's a shame, especially in such an interesting part of the city, that situations like this can happen.

14/07/2025: For my wife and I, it's a special place for several reasons beyond the quality and deliciousness of the food. What might seem like a flaw, like still ordering with pen and paper, is a positive for us. The food is good, and the staff is friendly. Recommended.

10/06/2025: Very good sushi restaurant, good quality of fish and a variety of Chinese and Japanese dishes to be envied. The owner and also the waiters are very friendly and easy-going and do their job well. The service, especially during peak hours, can be a bit slow but it was worth the wait a bit longer. Better to go for lunch because it costs a bit less but also for dinner it is a good idea to eat and spend some time with some friends 👍🏻

22/06/2025: Excellent service, the owner is very nice, unfortunately the only flaw is that she does not use adequate hygiene measures, in this case gloves, since every time I go I noticed that she does not use them, she touches food directly with her hands and also money without using disinfectants.

14/07/2025: Siamo entrati e non c’era nessuno. Ho chiamato lo chef che era in cucina, ci ha fatti accomodare per poi dirci che c’era solo l’asino (a pezzi o intero). Non c’era altro. Solo formaggi e salumi di antipasto. Per il resto solo asino. Nessun primo, nessun secondo (forse la costata). Ho visto il signore un po’ provato. Ci è dispiaciuto molto ma ce ne siamo andati senza mangiare. Speriamo sia un momento di transizione.

18/06/2025: Dishonest - food and atmosphere was fine. However, check your receipt. The owner added 10 euros to the cost of our wine, doubled our table charge (coperto), added 2 euros to our appetizer. He did not follow the prices on his menu. Watch your itemized receipt before you pay.

09/06/2025: Very large structure, equipped with a swimming pool, a kitchen that takes care of all the modern food needs, qualified staff and most importantly the kindness of the owners. I personally feel like I am part of the family and for those like me who are constantly away it is a very welcome aspect.

18/05/2025: I celebrated my son's communion last Sunday with the enthusiasm of having re-booked after the magnificent experience I had 7 years ago with the communion of my firstborn. This is not meant to be a sterile criticism but an invitation, if you deem it appropriate, to review the entire organization. It was a day characterized by total chaos from all points of view. Panicked waiters with no apparent guidance or experience. Terrible choice to "accept" all those communions in a single Sunday. As for the menu, what can I say? It was a total flop, in my opinion, on all the courses or almost, especially on the most obvious ones since it was not characterized by dishes requiring a high level of preparation. (The proposed menus were absolutely basic and not difficult to prepare for a kitchen that boasts years and years of experience). Mine, I repeat, is an absolutely personal opinion aimed, if you deem it appropriate, at reviewing a few aspects. Magnificent DJ, compliments to him!!!! Greetings, and good work to all of you.

31/07/2025: Very happy to have found a gluten-free option in a beautiful setting facing the sea. The menu at Mare was good for a good price. The portions are generous and tasty. The pizzas can only be ordered in the evening. For 4 people, it cost €118, including a small bottle of rosé. The only thing the server wasn't very patient with... It's still a restaurant for tourists, and that explains things well... The pasta is homemade, and once again, it's great to have a gluten-free option.

28/07/2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tasty and plentiful food! We ate at Ghiottone and were truly impressed. We ordered pasta with sausage, a slice of beef, and a very fresh Caprese salad: everything was delicious! The portions were generous, the price was truly reasonable, and the quality of the dishes was excellent. Furthermore, the service was impeccable: fast, friendly, and very attentive. A simple place where you eat really well. Highly recommended if you're in Otranto and looking for quality home cooking at a fair price! Highly recommended!! Well done!!

12/07/2025: We arrived and the handicapped parking space was occupied by the owners. We ordered seven pizzas at a table, and half of them arrived 20 minutes after the first ones. A friend of ours in a wheelchair hadn't provided a proper route to and from the tables. The owner rudely sent away a mute man who earns a living by discreetly leaving postcards on the tables, only to take them back if no one left a donation.

12/07/2025: If you go on a Saturday it's a nightmare, if you end up in the internal room because of the noise you can't even communicate, fried fish made exclusively of calamari, because the salmon was missing even though I said so several times, the shrimp were transparent, impossible to clean, arrived at the cashier after 30 minutes and they advised me to get something else, no thanks, do as you want.... how polite! Never again
