The law states: "The 'cover charge' on Italian menus is a fixed service charge that covers the use of crockery, cutlery, napkins, bread, and table setting. It is legal only if clearly indicated on the menu or in a displayed price list. Customers must be informed before ordering and can dispute it if it's not explicitly stated."

02/03/2026: I would have given a few more stars if it weren't for the poorly trained staff, in the sense that: they bring you the other dishes without removing the dirty plates, the food is okay but the chef needs to make peace with the salt, we kindly asked for the bill and without opening our mouths they presented it to us without even greeting or asking how the meal went.... it seems like they are doing you a favor by sitting at the table... never again... shameful
01/02/2026: Friends' recommendations are often highly subjective. They had "touted" this steakhouse as if it were the best in the world. Honestly, it was nothing special. We arrived, they sat us down at our table, ignoring us for almost half an hour, while people who had arrived after us were being served, so much so that I had to go to the waiter myself to get even a bottle of water. The meat was average, nothing extraordinary like the descriptions of those who recommended it to me. The waiters I would definitely not give an Oscar for friendliness to, and the prices, even those, were not exceptional. An experience not to be repeated.

01/03/2026: I found this bistro by chance, and it pleasantly surprised me.
The location is intimate, warm, and welcoming.
The perfect place to retreat to on a cold winter evening, but also the perfect place to take a woman for a glass of wine.
The interior is decorated with wood, verses of poetry, and movie posters.
A place like this is easy to find in the alleys of Genoa, but it's rare here.
The tables invite you to let go of the stress accumulated during the day, giving way to intimate conversations.
The manager, moreover, seems like an old friend, inviting you into his living room and recommending the perfect wine for the evening's mood.
Will I return? DEFINITELY!

18/10/2025: -Excessive wait for a table previously reserved by the customer;
-Poor staff organization (waiters and cashier);
-Excessive wait times both to place an order and for the order to arrive, considering that we waited 1.5 hours for just 2 Margherita pizzas (without having ordered appetizers first);
-Excessively high temperatures inside the dining room (stifling air);
-We find it absurd that a pizzeria is out of stock with 0.5L water, thus forcing customers to order 1L.
-Furthermore, we found the waiters' manners to be in terrible taste, particularly one who insistently commented on the delay in the pizzas' arrival without doing anything concrete to remedy the situation or apologize.
24/09/2025: The cuisine was fantastic, but what really captivated us was the service, which was very friendly and accommodating to foreigners. We were welcomed like family. We recommend it to anyone visiting the city, especially for an everyday meal. Thank you and best regards, Mr. Antonio.

31/10/2025: I'm from Lecce, and when I'm in Bari, which happens quite often, I always stop at Montecristo...the best focaccia in Bari, thin, tasty, and crunchy...the panzarotti are also excellent, especially the cacio e pepe, but all the produce is top-quality...thanks

23/09/2025: One of the best Japanese restaurants I've ever had the fortune of finding in Puglia.
The restaurant is very spacious. You can order by phone, and there's a wide selection of Japanese dishes. The menu is all-you-can-eat.
Children under 130 cm pay half price.
06/09/2025: Nice place, clean and well-kept.
Friendly staff and prompt service.
They don't crowd people together, but space them out to ensure privacy.
If you like sushi, it's a good choice.

28/02/2026: We had a reservation for 9:00 PM, we arrived early, eight people. After an hour, they still hadn't let us in, and they started saying there were too many people, more than the reservation had booked, and that we were late. Then they seated us, and the food and service were good.

15/03/2026: The guy at the dessert counter (who refused to give me his name) was extremely rude. He even said he hoped to be fired. That's how it should be. Never again at Martinucci's. We customers pay their salaries. I don't expect to be insulted.
10/03/2026: A must-see in Lecce! Martinucci is a must-try: delicious food and a unique atmosphere. What we appreciated most, however, was the welcome: the staff was incredibly kind and helpful, handling everything with a smile. If you're in the city, you absolutely must stop here!
