If you're in Puglia, you can't miss trying pasticciotto. During a trip to Lecce with my boyfriend, our first pasticciotto was from Martinucci, which I'd heard great things about. We ordered one flavor, "cream and black cherry," and another, "lemon and almond cream," accompanied by a refreshing iced Lecce coffee.
What can I say? Words can't describe how delicious they are. Absolutely exquisite. Freshly baked, warm, fragrant, and filled with cream, they melted in your mouth. We also had the opportunity to try other pasticciottos during our stay, but Martinucci's are the best we've ever tasted.
We bought three trays to take home, and they kept perfectly; eating them made us feel like we were still in Puglia. It was a success.

3 stars because I don't want to be mean... about the service, nothing to say, kind and helpful staff... but it doesn't seem entirely professional to me that a business like MARTINUCCI that after having consumed a table for six people by kindly asking to use the toilet we are told in a rather irritated and rude way that it was OUT OF ORDER... CLOGGED... a very unfortunate situation I would say.

I've had the pleasure of stopping at Martinucci's many times, and each time is an experience worth sharing.
The bartenders' service is simply impeccable: Mattia, along with his colleague Daniele, manage to transform even a simple coffee into a small moment of pleasure. The coffee is always excellent, prepared with care and attention, while my colleagues who prefer macchiatos are consistently impressed by the creamy, perfect milk foam.
One detail that truly makes you smile is the artistic touch: Daniele, brilliantly skilled, even creates a little heart out of chocolate powder, making every cup not only delicious, but also beautiful to look at.

We ordered a cappuccino, an Americano, a Rustico, and a Tette de la Monaca. Everything was good and reasonably priced considering the establishment and its location on the square. Pleasant service on the terrace.
