09/06/2025: Esperienza positiva in questo posto molto particolare e carino per una cena con un'amica. Già l'esterno è molto caratteristico, dentro lo è ancora di più, e c'è anche un bel giardino. Cibo buono come anche il servizio. Personalmente ho scelto un frittino misto, con porzioni molto generose e una buona tagliata di manzo. Consigliato!

25/07/2025: Unfortunately, I'm forced to write a negative review for this restaurant, of which we had high expectations. Let's start with the arrival, the table booked for 9pm, wasn't ready yet, so we waited a quarter of an hour standing... okay, there were a lot of people, we didn't give it too much thought, it can happen... once we ordered (I had salted fish) we waited almost an hour before dinner, okay, salted fish isn't a preparation that takes 20 minutes but usually not even an hour... or rather, if we had been informed when ordering, we would have maybe had an appetizer, since our only dish was that and another second course... but the worst thing was the cleaning of the fish, done by a totally inexperienced guy, who among other things stopped every 2 minutes to adjust his glasses (which he then decided to take off) and even gave a good cough into his hand with which he then calmly resumed cleaning my fish... which, once he finished deboning, weighed 500g. It was supposed to be, I must have been served half, the rest was left on the waiter's plate... A real shame because it was very good, as was the slice of meat my boyfriend had. After finishing dinner, another 20 minutes went by, but we were completely ignored by everyone, so even though we would have loved dessert, we decided to get up and go pay, risking dessert becoming breakfast 😅 The guy at the house, I'd say the owner, asked us how it went, we listed all the problems of our evening, and at least he gave us a discount and apologized. A real shame because the food was excellent, the location beautiful (enviable), but the service, unfortunately, was truly awful...!!

12/08/2025: An institution in Gallipoli, even its flaws don't deter us from Paolo's calzone. We don't feel comfortable anywhere else.

08/08/2025: Not only is everything very good, Ash adds a special touch; he's a very nice and professional guy! (The only flaw is that they could keep the floor between the tables cleaner; Ash can't do everything!)

15/07/2025: My wife and I had dinner with orecchiette with turnip tops and pasta with red mullet. Desserts were delicious (spumone and chocolate soufflé with pistachio heart). All this in an atmosphere where you wouldn't expect such high-quality dishes. Obviously competitive prices.

13/07/2025: I've been going to this bar since I was a kid, about 20 years ago, and then I returned recently in 2018. The bar is still the same, simple, with the same flavors and memories of yesteryear. The smell of the croissants they bake is unique, the delicious custard and chocolate croissants are unmatched. 17/08/2025: We had dinner on the night of Ferragosto. We were very satisfied. The staff was very kind and offered excellent recommendations. The menu changes daily, even between lunch and dinner, and although it's written in dialect, the waiters explain it calmly and word for word. We ordered the zucchini flowers, and asked for them without the anchovies because my fiancée is vegetarian. They had no problem accommodating our request as they are prepared fresh. The fava bean purée and the artisanal sagne 'ncannulate with horse meat sauce were also excellent. The desserts were sublime; we had a mandarin sorbet and a dark chocolate and orange spumone, both absolutely delicious. We also enjoyed the house red wine. The staff and the owner were kind and courteous. The prices are fair. They were also extremely kind when we stopped by the next morning to pick up the city guide we'd forgotten. They showed up at the restaurant early in the morning specifically to return it to us.

01/08/2025: Excellent traditional Salento cuisine, friendly staff, and a spotlessly clean place. Perhaps one of the few places in Lecce with sparkling bathrooms. Highly recommended! Oh, and you can also listen to great music (REM, Dire Straits, etc.)!

22/06/2025: We got married on June 14, 2025. My husband and I were very meticulous in organizing the wedding and, in particular, regarding the reception hall. On the other hand, we found extraordinary professionalism. The lunch was of excellent quality, with fresh products and unconventional flavors; everything was exceptional from the appetizer to the desserts. The timing between one course and the next was perfect, allowing the guests to taste all the dishes on the menu, but also to have fun and let loose on the dance floor. Impeccable service; waiters and hostesses very attentive and professional and, at the same time, extremely kind. All the guests were sincerely impressed by every aspect of the reception. A sincere thank you goes to Franco, the hall manager, who followed us from the first moment, listening to our requests and who made the wedding we dreamed of possible. Heartfelt thanks to all the staff!
