09/04/2026: I went there about ten days ago for a pizza and a beer for dinner, alone. The dough wasn't bad, but, inexplicably, the cherry tomatoes on the pizza had a very strong garlicky smell and taste. The draft beer had a slight musty aftertaste, a sign that the tap system isn't being cleaned properly. Overall, the rating can only be negative. The waitress, on the other hand, was very knowledgeable and helpful, as well as kind.

15/03/2026: This evening, for the first time, we ordered takeout pizzas from this restaurant. SUPERB PIZZAS!! Excellent quality ingredients, fresh tomatoes (you could even taste the basil), light pizza, bold flavors... Everything just how we like it! From now on, you've become our go-to pizzeria in the area. Well done, well done!

08/05/2026: We slept one night in the hotel as part of a bike tour and we can warmly recommed. The room clean, breakfast buffet good and the service great!

12/01/2026: I ordered a takeout pizza from this place on a Saturday night, and I have to say it was perfect timing for a Saturday night. The place is very nice looking and very clean. It's a different type of pizza than my favorite Neapolitan one, but that's just my preference and doesn't really matter... we were a little disappointed because, of the pizzas we ordered, the white one with cooked ham and parmesan cheese ended up with just parmesan. Another aspect: we all drank a lot that night... so perhaps something needs to be reworked in the dough, from my incompetent perspective, or something else entirely.

11/06/2026: Worst airport ever. The staff are rude and unhelpful. It’s impossible to find a supervisor when you need help, and staff members refuse to give their names, making it difficult to file an official complaint. The toilets and lifts are broken. The only positive thing was the art exhibitions, but if you want to see art, you’re better off visiting a gallery than spending time at this airport

05/04/2026: Great place. Beautifully situated by the lake. Friendly service. I received a snack plate with a delicious milkshake and Aperol. Excellent.

12/06/2026: High prices, is that possible? Really excellent quality, and perhaps too many people pretending to queue, leaving no room for those waiting. They should be called to order, but no one does. It's a shame about the mess created by the rude people outside.

25/05/2026: Unfortunately, I made a fool of myself by taking my friends to this ice cream shop that I once thought was the best. The quality has deteriorated... and not by a little. The Nutellone, which was once truly special, now tastes like water, as does the cream... completely flavorless. Ice creams purchased on May 24, 2026.

02/05/2025: BAD, very bad! We went for lunch on a day when there weren't many people; in fact, there were only a few tables occupied. Despite this, I was served a first course and only an appetizer (Goma Wakame) within 5 minutes of ordering, but then both I and my tablemates were served half an hour later, maybe even longer! It's unacceptable. All this for simple appetizers (I got the stuffed ravioli after half an hour, but for the following courses I had to wait another 10 minutes!). After the appetizers, we received some nigiri that to call COLD would be an understatement (in fact, they looked like they had just come out of the freezer). They were inedible. The rest was adequate/fair, some good. It's not the Shabu I remembered, unfortunately. Until a year ago, it was, in my opinion, the best AYCE in Varese, but after the latest experience, I had to change my mind. Terrible service and adequate quality (maybe not even that). €25 wasted. I hope it was a random disservice, but that was our experience. I'm ready to change my mind and leave a new, better review, but we definitely won't be returning anytime soon.

13/04/2025: This Japanese restaurant is one of my favorite places. The food is always excellent: authentic dishes, meticulously prepared with quality ingredients. The space is cozy, small but very comfortable, with an intimate atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The staff is super friendly, welcoming, and attentive, always with a smile. My favorite dish? Udon noodles, without a doubt—warm, filling, and perfectly flavorful. A true treat. It's the kind of place you'll want to return to, because you know it will never disappoint.

After mentioning it to the wait staff (who weren't to blame), I pointed it out again when paying, in front of the owner, who didn't even apologize. Unwritten etiquette dictates that you at least pretend to show a modicum of remorse by offering your order. But no, between the spritz and the coffee, only the coffee was refunded. Better than nothing, some might say, but €7 doesn't make me poor, nor does it make the owner rich, who would have even received a positive review had she behaved differently. I felt mocked, and on principle, if an owner values ​​vile money more than customer satisfaction, and above all, the hygiene and image of his establishment (considering the recycling of paper chip cones that cost just a few cents), well, then you can't avoid receiving such criticism. Goodbye she says..... I don't think so, I replied.

05/05/2026: We went to this pastry shop after a terrible experience at the nearby bakery. I asked if it was possible to get a toasted sandwich, given that the kitchen might not be open yet. They asked, and shortly thereafter, they brought it to my table. The place is clean, the staff is very friendly, and there's a wide selection of sweet and savory treats. We'll definitely be back.

23/12/2025: No gluten-free options. It's a shame that a historic pastry shop doesn't offer any gluten-free options, not even packaged ones, to satisfy celiac customers. And it's even more unfortunate that when I asked, the response was rude, as if it were obvious that a celiac wasn't welcome. Let's hope things change in the future...

01/05/2026: A historic place, a regular for the Apollo, always excellent, but the service and the accompaniments are no longer up to par. The quality and quantity of the aperitifs have been declining for some time, but today I'd say enough is enough. We ordered aperitifs for three at 12:30. At 1:00 PM, the drinks still hadn't arrived, and the small bowl of chips, olives, and five gherkins were all gone. There were also five soggy pizzas. Meanwhile, at the counter, not only are they served before us, they also receive more accompaniments, in a continuous cycle—but those at the table pay more. When the aperitifs finally arrive, I'm promised more to eat, which seemed the least I could do considering we'd finished everything after waiting half an hour—but they never arrived. I have to wait at the register because the cashier doesn't even look at me; she's showing photos on her phone to some acquaintances. Then, when I point out the situation, she says, "There's confusion." No, the place is half empty: adding insult to injury. And at the table next to ours, regular customers were telling the waitress that, having seen the unequal treatment they received from the police at the counter, they wouldn't come back. What can I say, a huge disappointment. What a shame.
