14/06/2025: Aperitivo del sabato sera, piacevole e distesa l'accoglienza da consigliare vivamente la prenotazione. Abbiamo preso un analcolico e un paio di spritz con tagliere apericena; beveraggio nella norma darei una sufficienza mentre sul tagliere dal costo di 18 euro cadauno do un cinque scarso. Focacce varie riscaldate e un po posse alcune, piattino di trofi e al pesto e pansotti tiepido....not very good ed infine ciotolina di fritti tanto unti un po spaccati. Domenica è il loro giorno di chiusura e forse questo incide sulla qualità del cibo. Non amo il riscaldato. Lo consiglio perchè titolare e ragazzi sono gentili e in Varese è difficile farsi regalare sorrisi. Si può fare di più
31/05/2025: Posto molto carino ,ho mangiato dei buonissimi gnocchi con pesto e pomodoro ,ho fatto anche la scarpetta per il sugo davvero buono .il mio compagno ha preso una buonissima focaccia con prosciutto e formaggio ..camerieri gentilissimi ,in particolare una cameriera,sempre sorridente e cordiale ! Ci torneremo per un bel aperitivo 💗

We sat down and were immediately warned that we'd have a 45-50 minute wait. We accepted this, but I thought the wait would be an hour and a half. The waiter explained that orders would be served in order, but it was unacceptable to have to wait this long for a tartare or a salad. I mentioned that my wife was pregnant, and in response, the table next door was served.
The location is worth it—a beautiful square overlooking the sea—but don't have lunch or dinner here. The food is decent, but irrelevant considering the uncomfortable situation. If you have time to waste, this is the place.

29/08/2025: Extremely rude from the manager. My dad and I had two coffees, and the change included a 20-cent coin that looked like it had been run over by a steamroller. Nothing serious so far, but when after a few seconds I kindly asked the clerk (I assume the manager) to change the 20-cent coin for me, she threw a terrible tantrum! Ranting in a sour and exaggerated tone, she claimed that they hadn't given me the coin. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. At that point, I pointed out (again politely) that it wouldn't make sense to be smart about a coin, and the manager took a 20-cent coin from the register, slammed it violently on the counter, and walked away muttering something about me. I've had a shop for 30 years and know how to treat customers (it's not always easy), and it's sad to see a renowned place like this (my parents have been going there for several years) employ such RUDE staff. The owner, having a downtown store (and therefore a high traffic area), can probably afford to hire staff whose job it is to make him lose customers.
If you only knew how many professional, kind, empathetic, and smiling sales assistants (smiling and politeness are perhaps forbidden in this place) are looking for a job!

16/04/2025: The pizza isn't even bad, shame about the manager who is rude and extremely dishonest. It's okay that for a pizza I didn't pay for and sent back, you're asked to keep it and pay for it the next time they're there, but if someone doesn't take the pizza and doesn't pay for it because the POS isn't working, it's not my fault, it's yours alone. Having said that, I hope you fail as a pizzeria because as people, you've already failed. If you fail, you're not worth a cent to the poor people who live in your town, you disgusting pieces of shit.

19/08/2025: I thought that at 6 pm on any given weekday, the €2.40 price for two coffees would also include a ceramic cup and saucer, not the coffee in a paper cup without a spoon, which I had to ask for. Maybe I was wrong, I don't know!
At least if I'd been asked, I would have said, "OK."
13/08/2025: Teach them the difference between a cappuccino and a latte!!! Cold, dry croissants that look like they're from the day before!!
And CLEANLINESS!!!! Sticky tables, layers of dust under the coffee machine, the smell of garbage at the entrance, the trash can next to the entrance needs not only emptied but also disinfected!!

09/08/2025: Dopo diversi anni torno a mangiare al Ristò. Non ho mai gradito la formula a buffet (ammesso di non essere a Las Vegas) e ho sempre trovato il locale piuttosto caotico. Da circa un anno (così mi hanno detto) il locale ha avuto un restyling di immagine (dove domina un bel verdone intenso) ed è stato rinnovato nella formula, con cucine a vista e servizio al tavolo. Si può mangiare di tutto (anche la pizza), io mi sono buttato sull’asiatico, mia moglie sui pizzoccheri (ma che bella coppia). Ci siamo trovati molto bene, buon servizio e buon cibo, niente a che vedere con quanto c’era prima.
27/07/2025: Il bar è molto rifornito, per quanto riguarda l'aperitivo c'è molta scelta e infatti abbiamo voluto provare la promo 8€ tramezzini + cocktail, dove ti portano 4 tramezzini (oltre ai soliti patatine e tarallucci) e puoi scegliere il cocktail che vuoi, da un gin tonic allo spritz.
La signora alla cassa è stata molto gentile e disponibile e gli aperitivi li ha preparati come si deve, consiglio!

21/07/2025: De vacaciones en Lago di Varese, pedimosn3 pizzas take away, riquisimas! excelente masa y productos frescos. . No nos quedamos a comer ahi pero el instante que esperamos las pizzas , observamos que el ambiente era muy agradable , atendido por sus dueños y familia, el sitio estaba lleno, señal de que se come muy bien!! volveremos en otra oportunidad
03/07/2025: Un giorno doveva accadere ed è successo oggi: la mia prima recensione con voto 1. Lavorando anch’io al pubblico, mostro sempre comprensione di fronte a disservizi o inconvenienti che possono capitare perché comprendo che il lavoro del ristoratore e del cameriere sia difficile. Ma quando si è serviti con sufficienza,senza senso di accoglienza e si deve pure assistere a battibecchi fra colleghi, sinceramente certe cose da parte mia non sono accettabili perché viene a mancare il rispetto nei confronti del cliente.

29/03/2025: Entrati nel locale ci accolgono 13 persone dietro il bancone ci accomodiamo in un tavolo con sotto forse 3 brioche sbriciolate alla 14 con quel personale il pavimento dovrebbe essere almeno pulito. Ordiniamo due caffè una coppa alle fragole e 6 pasticcini. I caffè arrivano sbagliati i pasticcini anche e la coppa tagliata dal barista con fragole della mise en place per gli aperitivi senza guanti dopo aver fatto cassa e maneggiato soldi . Lo faccio presente alla ragazza con i tatuaggi che si mette i guanti e me la rifà. Pasticcini fatti con basi pronte il babà è comprato senza gusto i cannoncini mignon gelato della coppa al fiordilatte nella norma e senza particolari gusti.
16.90 di spesa non giustificata dalla pulizia e dal rispetto delle norme Haccp.

14/06/2025: Avevamo prenotato per apericena con grigliata (perchè già provata in passato) ma ieri sera la grigliata non c'era. Invece di dirci che non c'era in assoluto per nessuno, la cameriera ha insistito nel dire che non era stata prenotata... ci accontentiamo dell'apericena perchè ci dice che poteva portarci altri taglieri.... cibo di bassa qualità e basso costo, salumi: solo salame e mortadella. Tramezzini scarsi e pezzi di formaggio indefinito. Unica cosa accettabile: pizza e olive... ma chiaramente sembrava roba comprata sl discount, tagliata e messa sul tagliere. Forse non c'è più un cuoco?
In aggiunta avevamo in gruppo una ragazza intollerante al lattosio che non ha potuto mangiare nulla, in quanto chiaramente contaminato o non sicuro.
Un vero peccato perchè in passato avevamo mangiato molto meglio (anche pasta fredda, torte salate, carne alla griglia), è chiaro che è cambiato qualcosa... infatti non era pieno come in passato. Peccato
07/06/2025: Me alojé cerca de este café con mi pareja visitada todos los días para un bocado de almuerzo y bebidas la comida era de buen tamaño y sabrosa. Todo el personal era encantador y muy servicial , precios muy razonables también, estuvimos encantados de sentarnos durante un par de horas disfrutando del paisaje y el ambiente, recomiendo encarecidamente una visita si su cerca! !
