02/05/2025: BAD, very bad! We went for lunch on a day when there weren't many people, in fact, there were few occupied tables. Despite this, I was served a first and only appetizer (Goma Wakame) 5 minutes after ordering, but subsequently both I and my table mates were served half an hour later, perhaps even more! It is unacceptable. All for simple appetizers (the filled ravioli arrived after half an hour, in fact, but for the subsequent courses I had to wait another 10 minutes!). Once the appetizers were finished, we received some nighiri which to define as COLD is an understatement (in fact they seemed to have come out of the freezer...). They were inedible. The rest was sufficient/fair, something good. It's not the Shabu I remembered, unfortunately. Until 1 year ago it was, in my opinion, the best AYCE in Varese, but after the last experience I had to change my mind. Terrible service and sufficient quality (maybe not even). €25 wasted.. I hope it was a random disservice, but this was our experience. I'm ready to change my mind and leave him a new and nicer review, but we definitely won't be going back anytime soon.

13/04/2025: This Japanese restaurant is one of my favorite places. The food is always excellent: authentic dishes, meticulously prepared with quality ingredients. The space is cozy, small but very comfortable, with an intimate atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The staff is super friendly, welcoming, and attentive, always with a smile. My favorite dish? Udon noodles, without a doubt—warm, filling, and perfectly flavorful. A true treat. It's the kind of place you'll want to return to, because you know it will never disappoint.

08/07/2025: Wir sind in Malcantone in den Ferien und waren bereits zweimal in diesem Restaurant mit wunderbarer Aussicht. Das Essen und die freundliche Bedienung haben es uns angetan. Wir werden wieder hingehen, weil es noch soviel Gutes auf der Karte hat. Top!

26/09/2025: It's the same system as many sushi bars in Italy. At first, the waiter was a bit tense—Turkish or Indian, I don't know, but the cooking and staff are mostly Japanese. Don't overdo it with your choices; we barely made it out 🤪 they keep bringing more and more… by evening, the place gets pretty full.

01/06/2025: We recommend this ice cream shop to everyone for the excellent quality of the raw material and the goodness of the products. We suggest the granitas, especially the lemon one, without forgetting the excellent ice cream.

22/08/2025: We discovered this place thanks to a recommendation from a friend. It's a welcoming, homey place, with excellent home-cooked food, generous portions, and reasonable prices. What we were most impressed with was the cassouela, which was sensational. The desserts were delicious. We'll definitely be back.

23/07/2025: I've always ordered pizza, and I have to say it's improved a lot in the last two years. But lately, my partner and I have been running to the bathroom after eating pizza because of stomach pain. I can understand the possibility of intolerance, but it happens to both of us. I wouldn't want it to be the water for the dough; obviously, it's used from the tap, and that's normal. Anyway, I've noticed for a couple of months now that running to the bathroom after eating pizza has become a habit.

10/07/2025: Local small pizzeria. Friendly staff, speaks English. We paid €20 for 2 pizzas (30cm each) and 1 coke. Very cheap comparing to other locations.

12/10/2025: We first caught the attention of Michelin Guides about this restaurant. Located in the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Magnificent views. Excellent tasting menu. Excellent value for money.

27/09/2025: We came to the restaurant for its gourmet evening menu and its reputation, but we were disappointed. The setting was splendid, with the meal on the panoramic terrace and a decent meal with very professional waiters. The biggest problem was the sommelier: a cold welcome, a haughty attitude. When I asked for a sweet white wine as an aperitif, which was on the menu, he told me there wasn't one. When I pointed out that it was on the menu, he replied that it wasn't up to date (!) and that "as an aperitif, we have bubbles" (!). He went back, and I heard him making unflattering remarks about the French and laughing with his colleagues. When we asked for a wine pairing, he told us there wasn't one and that we should only have one glass of white and one of red because the tasting menu included fish and then meat. We had two meat dishes, and the wine pairing and his knowledge of the menu were superb!! We've never received such service from a sommelier in a fine dining restaurant 👎 Poor

09/10/2025: An excellent experience at Sushi Kisen! I had the pleasure of dining at Sushi Kisen and was truly impressed by the overall quality of the restaurant. The fish is top-notch, the rolls excellent and well-balanced in flavor. Each dish is prepared with taste and attention, a sign of a cuisine that focuses on quality and respect for the ingredients. The atmosphere is elegant yet welcoming, perfect for both a dinner with friends and a special occasion. The service was impeccable: fast, courteous, and always attentive to the needs of the guests. A special thanks to the attentive and helpful dining room manager Simone, who manages the restaurant with great professionalism and attention to detail. Compliments also to Mattia, the waiter, who looked after us throughout the evening with courtesy, expertise, and a genuine smile—rare and much-appreciated qualities. An overall excellent experience, which I highly recommend to anyone looking for high-quality sushi in a refined setting with high-quality service. I will definitely be back!

13/06/2025: Si conferma la qualità di questa catena, servizio veloce, grande varietà sia di pizze salate che dolci. Dato che fa anche asporto, meglio non andare tra le 19:30 e le 20:30 perchè il servizio al tavolo è più rallentato…

29/04/2025: Grande varietà di pizze salate e dolci. C'è l'imbarazzo della scelta e mangi finchè non ce la fai più! Le pizze mi sono piaciute moltissimo, una più buona dell'altra e non restano alte, il che mi ha permesso di non sentirmi subito piena. Ritorneremo sicuramente presto: assolutamente consigliato!!
