02/12/2025: Me and my wife weren't planning to enter this specific cafe. However, we enjoyed the coffee and the biscuits and when we wanted to share a review, we were surprised to read the bad previous ones. It looks like they improved the place and the service.
The girl who worked there was nice and greeting, and she was cleaning all the time. It is a nice,simple and quiet place to chill in.
27/11/2025: I bought a cake that, once opened, was completely covered in MOLD! It effectively ruined a child's birthday!
We immediately returned to the store at 6:20 PM, but it was closed when we arrived. So we returned later, bringing the cake and all the evidence proving the condition of the product when we opened it. Despite this, the woman present refused to issue a refund, claiming that the mold "wasn't entirely their fault."
We obviously reported the matter to the appropriate authorities.
I find it unacceptable that a food product is sold in this condition, but what left us most incredulous was the total lack of responsibility for what happened and the refusal to offer a refund, even if only to apologize for what happened. What a shame!

08/06/2026: I echo the many negative reviews about the quality of the service.
There were three of us, seated inside, and we all consumed food. It was five in the afternoon, late June, a very hot day. At a certain point, we noticed the temperature in the room had risen and politely asked the waitress why the air conditioning was off and the doors wide open, letting in the summer heat. We asked if it could be turned back on. She quickly and rudely replied that it was a decision based on the owners' alleged "company policies": if there are only two people seated inside (one person had left), the doors open and the air conditioning turns off. And what about the remaining customers, who still consumed food?! "You could have changed tables," the waitress replied abruptly, ignoring the fact that it was hot everywhere, not just in the room where we were.
To avoid the heat, I recommend entering this place with at least four people or make sure there are other customers, otherwise prepare to boil.
This is my first and last time at California Bakery, and I will discourage friends and acquaintances from going there. There are plenty of more helpful and friendly bars in the area!
06/06/2026: The service was excellent, everything was perfect. The cappuccino was delicious. And the price was reasonable.

23/02/2026: Disorganization, slowness, and sloppiness. I ordered a marocchino served in a coffee cup, with coffee spilling over the rim, barely stained. It was little more than a macchiato. Terrible.
23/01/2026: I've been dining at this bar since 2010, and I've always been satisfied with the food, the staff, and the price. Over the past year, the situation has become unacceptable: extremely long waits, you never know when your tray will be ready for pickup, and oftentimes you eat cold food because you left it there without knowing you could have picked it up.

10/05/2026: The staff was rude; there was only one middle-aged blonde woman who only spoke Italian. She seemed more interested in yelling at us than helping us. She continued talking to the other tourists in the same way. We bought two bottles of water, but they charged us for three. Our beautiful Italian vacation ended on a bad experience.

02/06/2026: 8:15 PM, queuing to order. A woman in front of me orders a takeout pan, the pizza chef says to her: "Are you sure, ma'am? You have to wait 20 minutes, 30 minutes, 40 minutes, are you sure?" I don't know if the woman waited for her pizza, I just know that they turned me and the people in line after me away, saying the pizza was sold out at 8:15 PM. 🤷♀️
11/05/2026: I had a large slice of pizza with Zola and bacon (the pizza wasn't bad), the only downside was that I saw the Zola with the 🔭, I practically didn't even taste it, so I had a Margherita with bacon but I paid the same as the Zola and bacon, total. Just the 🍕 of Margherita and bacon was €10, excluding water.
In short, I absolutely don't recommend this place because it's too expensive and then they don't even give you the bare minimum of ingredients, and for which you pay an arm and a leg.
Goodbye, as cannavacciuo says...

02/10/2025: I was very disappointed with lunch at Tribeca.
I ordered salmon with potatoes, which turned out to be inedible: completely dry and parched. When we asked for clarification, we were told it had been baked that morning (we were there at 1 PM!), which is unacceptable for a dish that should be served fresh. At least, to be fair, they didn't charge us for it.
We replaced it with a Caesar salad, but unfortunately, this too was a disappointment: the base was just baby lettuce, the chicken was bits of fried cutlet, the bacon was raw, the classic Caesar dressing was completely missing, and instead of shaved Parmesan, there was only grated Parmesan.
The farro and legume soup seemed to have come straight from a supermarket jar, without any care or freshness.
Overall, a very disappointing lunch that won't make us want to return.
14/09/2025: They don't have Red Bull.
No table service (maybe because it was really busy and there were only two women).

28/03/2026: I'm giving one star because zero isn't allowed. We placed an order on the app, and after an hour or so, there was still no sign of anything. After specifying that the kebab not include onions in the order, it arrived incorrectly. When we contacted customer service, they said the number didn't exist, so we called the place from another phone number to explain the situation. After an hour or so, there was still no news of the new order they placed to fix the mess. Of course, when they answered, the guy said he had prepared the order himself.

07/04/2026: I visited Quintessenza during a short stop in Milan and had such a lovely experience. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by a friendly waitress who kindly spoke English, which made everything feel easy and relaxed.
I ordered what was genuinely one of the best cappuccinos I’ve ever had, along with a croissant filled with sweet cream—both were absolutely delicious. The coffee was perfectly made, rich and smooth, and the croissant was fresh, light, and indulgent.
I was invited to take a seat outside, which really made the experience. Sitting in the sunshine on a charming, leafy street, with a gentle buzz of people and trams passing by, created a brilliant atmosphere and a true taste of Milan.
The service was quick, everything was brought out promptly, and the prices were excellent for the quality. What really stood out was the genuine friendliness—service with a smile that makes you want to return.
I’ll definitely be back—thank you for such a wonderful stop in Milan!
18/03/2026: Expensive and poor breakfast. We ordered eggs with prosciutto and guacamole, and two cappuccinos. They brought us two small triangles of cheap sliced bread, two tiny slices of cheap ham, a drop of what we thought was guacamole, and some bland scrambled eggs (€12 each breakfast plus coffee). We asked for a glass of water and they refused to serve us. Anywhere else would be better. There were cockroaches and worms, and I caught salmonella.

10/05/2026: The staff was terrible. They were rude and had a poor attitude towards foreign customers. They said I hadn't paid for the ice cream but demanded payment again. They lacked understanding and didn't try to help. Their facial expressions and language were rude. The staff needs better training. The coffee is good, but the staff's attitude made me not want to come back. Please provide better training. If you don't have a service-oriented mindset, better not to working. It was a really disappointing experience, especially since I really wanted to eat here. Its made my day bad
29/03/2026: I witnessed a truly unpleasant scene.
An elderly lady pays for ice cream at the kiosk outside but runs out of paper, so the aforementioned lady shows the transaction, but the ice cream lady refuses to give her a single-flavor cup and tells her to try reception (after a 20-minute queue).
The line grows, and the ice cream lady even loses some patience when a young woman asks for a crepe (she was obviously making it for the first time because she didn't know how to use the tools, and it ended up being raw...).
So she calls her colleague from the bar, who claims she doesn't know how to make ice cream cones...and refuses to make them even for customers who have paid.
Truly two unpleasant scenes.
No complaints about the bar staff, who are generally quite kind and knowledgeable.

24/02/2025: A well-deserved closure. Milan used to be a city of excellence for restaurants, hotels, and entertainment venues, but today it's in dire straits. Quality and professionalism are at a premium, courtesy and empathy are lacking, and sanitary conditions are a distant memory. The city police, including the NAS (National Security Unit) and the Guardia di Finanza (Financial Police), should crack down.
