26/07/2025: I was in Lavagna for work. I stopped at this pub and was surprised to find some excellent fried food. It's a shame about the road, as if you were eating outside it was a constant stream of cars and motorbikes.

25/07/2025: Very noisy inside. Air conditioning set to maximum cooling. Very dirty, and the selection was very limited (pizza and burgers). We waited a long time for service and finally got up and left because we didn't feel comfortable.

22/08/2025: We asked for a simple question about whether a table for four people and a dog was available. They couldn't confirm or deny it, almost as if they were annoyed or something. When they told us there was a table for four inside, they immediately changed their minds. The pizza will probably be good, but the same can't be said for the staff.

21/08/2025: We ordered the crispy salmon bites and the swordfish carpaccio as appetizers. We were disappointed because there were only three bites, and the carpaccio was literally frozen, so much so that it hurt our teeth from being so cold. Those three meager bites were also expensive (€12), a price completely out of line with the quantity. We also didn't much appreciate the addition of leeks to the Valdostana pizza, which earned it a spot in the "specials" section and consequently cost €12, while the other pizzas were much cheaper: a not a great combination at all. Otherwise, the other pizzas were good, and the parmigiana was tasty. We ate inside, and due to the layout of the room, it was a bit too noisy.

02/05/2025: Non lo conoscevo e ci sono capitato casualmente , mi ha incuriosito la location e gli ampi spazi ed ho deciso di prenotare la cena x la sera ed è stata una piacevole grande sorpresa , piatti buoni ed abbondanti e prezzi assolutamente abbordabili a tutti , ottimo servizio al tavolo veloci e precisi veramente tanti complimenti se mi ricapiterà di passare in zona sarà un piacere cenare nuovamente in questa splendida location

25/04/2025: ..Trovato per caso il 25 Aprile camminando per Chiavari alle 12.30,provo a chiedere se hanno un posto,e mi piazzano subito all aperto con un bel sole caldo,prendo subito 1/2 vino bianco e ravioli di branzino...che gioia!!!

01/03/2025: March 1st is my birthday (57, alas), to celebrate we decided to celebrate with my husband at A Tartana, an unforgettable experience. The name A Tartana is absolutely wrong, it should be called LA DIVINA FARINATA - All of Italy is enclosed in this dish - colour, flavour, crunchiness and sweetness. A GOODNESS!!!!! 25/05/2025: Sono venuto in questo bar della spiaggia per mangiare un insalata per un pranzo veloce. Insalata non era cattiva, ci mancherebbe, ma per mangiare un’insalata e una coca ho speso 18,50€, per me è veramente folle.

The rooms are very clean, the breakfast is plentiful and varied, with homemade cakes. The best thing about this hotel is the kindness and hospitality of the staff. A wonderful discovery. 18/08/2025: A very pleasant and clean hotel. The rooms aren't huge, but they have everything you need. The furnishings are well-made and very recent. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The internal garden where you can have breakfast is very beautiful, welcoming, and private. Highly recommended.

03/08/2025: Definitely a beautiful location! Getting there isn't easy, and the road isn't in good condition; you can't get there with a particularly low-slung car. The rooms are nice, but you can hear EVERYTHING the other guests say/do (you can imagine), so I slept poorly and for a short time. There's no bidet, the bathroom cabinet is broken, there's no TV, and you can't really have a dark room to sleep in because there's only a curtain, and obviously all the light gets in at 5 in the morning. Breakfast wasn't great; the food wasn't fresh, and it seemed a bit old (I'm talking about the cakes or baked goods).

06/08/2025: Tried it for the first time...really super friendly and punctual...delicious pizzas at a price you can't find anywhere else. With every pizza, they come with a complimentary soft drink, with a smile. Congratulations.

23/07/2025: The worst pizza the human mind could ever imagine. Mediocre and poorly measured ingredients, a dough that's like plywood. Nomen omen, pizza stop!

19/08/2025: Rude staff who refused to accept international customers: we wanted to eat in, but they told us they were closed and offered to take away, which we did. We sat at the outdoor tables and were asked to leave, even though the other tables were occupied by locals (despite having a 7-month pregnant wife with us). Regarding the pizzas: very disappointing!

19/08/2025: We went to Black Bull and had a great time. The staff is really friendly, mostly young, and all helpful and knowledgeable. We had two bruschettas as an appetizer and two pizzas: generous portions and excellent quality. The pizzas are really large, with a tasty sauce and a thin, crispy crust. The wait to be seated was a bit long, but that's to be expected given that they don't accept reservations and the place is always very busy, a sign that the food is good. The menu is extensive, with appetizers, first courses, second courses, focaccias, and pizzas. As a vegan, I found little in the way of a vegan option, but it's still possible to adapt some pizzas by removing the mozzarella. It would be nice to see at least a couple of vegan options on the menu to please everyone. We spent €35 for two (two bruschettas, two pizzas, four waters, and a coffee), a price that's absolutely reasonable. I recommend the place for a casual dinner with friends or family. I gave it 4 stars only because of the lack of vegan options, but it was definitely a positive experience.
