16/12/2024: We very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel Villa Edera & La Torretta as part of our "Tranquil Cinque Terre, Italian Riviera" trip booked through Inn Travel Moneglia is a charming town with a variety of small boutique restaurants and is well placed to explore the Ligurian Riviera by rail, although some timetable pre-planning is advisable. There are great walks accessible directly from the hotel and also across the wider area. Our favorites were "Manarola to Corniglia", "The Gulf of Poets - Isola Palmaria & Portoverene",; "Corniglia to Monterosso" & "Camogli to Portofina" And finally a BIG thank you to the daughter of the hotel owner (sorry I can't remember your name), who kindly gave us a lift to Sestri Levante rail station to avoid us missing our return flight home due to a rail strike effecting the local train line. Phew!!

18/10/2024: Elevated is the word I would use to describe our stay here. A wonderful property that is very private with an exceptional staff.

12/04/2025: Mi sono ritrovato a cena in questo locale per festeggiare un compleanno, ci siamo seduti alle 20.45 e solo alle 21.30 ci hanno portato le bevande, al momento sono le 22.15 e del cibo nemmeno l’ombra, nemmeno un po’ di pane. Sconsiglio vivamente questo locale che a parere mio lavorando nel settore da 10 anni non potrebbe funzionare nemmeno da pub, do 1 stella perché purtroppo non posso dare di meno. PESSIMO.

Smiling, funny, efficient, energetic, with a touch of humor or a kind word for each customer. All in a super pleasant musical atmosphere. It was perfect for our last evening at the Cinque Terre, thank you very much!!!!!

14/05/2025: From the perspective of a German tourist: This is a simple, yet lively, and well-attended pizzeria in a backyard, frequented predominantly by locals. On a Saturday evening, we were given the last available table. The food is typical, with gluten-free options available. The quality is decent, and the service is prompt. In addition to wine by the glass, several bottles of decent regional wine are also available. We opted for an Ormeasco, as Dolcetto is called here. This review explicitly reflects the authenticity of its simplicity and normality. Anyone expecting "showmanship" is in the wrong place.

04/05/2025: How nice to have an entire vegan menu available, from starters to desserts (sorbets). Not a couple of choices, but a complete menu, with 5 first courses and as many second courses. Plus, rice mozzarella available to make every pizza vegan. Very friendly staff, "old fashioned" place but without serious defects.

04/04/2025: I may have been unlucky in my choice but the experience was not the best. I took the mussel soup, in my opinion they were unacceptable, cooked beyond the limit until they became "dry". Cod fillet on top of a mixture of chilli pepper, capers and olives and covered with beacon…..🧐

10/05/2025: Found by chance during a trip to Genoa, I must say that it was an excellent choice. Very nice rustic place, friendly and efficient staff. We waited a little for the food but it was worth it. Sublime cheese focaccia and fantastic testaroli with pesto. I would definitely go there again if I were to return.

27/04/2025: If you are looking for a place to eat well and feel at home, Donatella's trattoria is the right choice! The ravioli are made with care and the ragù is exquisite. And the seconds? The roasts and cuts are expertly prepared, with a flavor and tenderness that will make your mouth water. And to finish on a sweet note, the chocolate cake served with ice cream is a real delight! And the house wine? Excellent, it pairs perfectly with every dish and is a real surprise. Donatella is a welcoming and friendly hostess, who can be seen to love what she does. I highly recommend trying everything, and don't forget to taste the house wine! A place not to be missed!

08/10/2024: if you get there during rush hour, you have to make up your mind to have patience... Patience and waiting will be worth it. All really good products... Too bad it's a small place but otherwise it deserves everything.

14/05/2025: We've tried many of their ice creams... and never once disappointed! Located just a stone's throw from the port and beaches, this gelateria is the perfect place to enjoy an ice cream before, during, or after a day in the sun. The couple who run the establishment are absolutely adorable, always smiling and attentive. It's a real pleasure to come back again and again. Special mention to the fiordilatte, crema, and frutti di bosco flavors: a real treat in every bite. A place not to be missed if you're in the area!
