25/04/2026: Trip to Genoa, near the river. By chance I saw a sign saying "Trattoria da Maura"—homemade food. A first course of mussels and clams for two, a second course of salmon and a side of salad and roast potatoes, two coffees, and a liqueur for €33. Simple home cooking. Everything was good and fresh.
We returned in the evening. The minestrone alla genovese was excellent, the fried anchovies were excellent, and the side dishes were delicious.
Well done, everyone!
04/04/2026: The best trattoria-pizzeria in Genoa for its quality/price ratio. Traditional Italian and Ligurian dishes, cooked to perfection, fresh pasta and homemade desserts. The young and talented owner and the professional, friendly, and fast staff are all excellent! I often order the fixed-price menu with a choice of first course, second course, side dish, wine, and water, and it's absolutely delicious. Five stars!

21/11/2025: A small bistro in an alley next to the main square! The main room has 6 tables! Perfect for breakfast, lunch, and aperitifs! The menu offers sandwiches, salads, meat tartare, one fish dish, and burgers! The bill for one person with an entree, a glass of wine, water, coffee, and a dessert came to 27 euros! The crowd is local! A regular spot for lunch!
29/10/2025: Lunches at this restaurant are absolutely delicious: the location on Vico San Matteo, in the heart of Genoa's historic center, and the stylish interior are a winning combination. The staff is very friendly (they allow for personal variations on the dishes), and the menu is excellent: the Papavero salad with turkey, tomatoes, poppy seeds, walnuts, and burrata—requested as a substitute for mozzarella—is delicious, as are the sandwiches. The various soups or minestrone with legumes in the winter are also delicious, as are the various desserts available from time to time. The price is truly reasonable for the quality of the food. Highly recommended!

19/07/2026: We had a wonderful stay at this agriturismo. The setting is simply exceptional: the view is magnificent, the pool is sublime and always spotless, and the grounds are perfectly maintained.
Claudia and Corrado are incredibly kind hosts, always attentive and offering excellent advice for exploring the region. Their warm welcome greatly contributed to the success of our holiday. The food is also excellent, featuring high-quality ingredients that allow you to discover local flavors.
The room was impeccable, very clean, comfortable, and perfectly equipped. The on-site parking is a real bonus.
The location is ideal for visiting the Cinque Terre and Tuscany, while enjoying the peace and quiet of the countryside.
The only thing to note is that the last few kilometers are on a rather narrow and winding mountain road. You need to be comfortable driving. It might be a little daunting the first day, but you get used to it very quickly, and the view and setting upon arrival are well worth the effort.
In short, we wholeheartedly recommend this agriturismo. We had a wonderful holiday and will gladly return!

12/05/2026: We stopped by during the Alpine gathering in Genoa. There were 4 of us. We received a wonderful welcome from the owner Roberta (if I'm not mistaken) and her brother (a pizza chef). The staff were super friendly, as were all the customers who wanted to take a photo with us. The pizza was super-top. I'll be back.

12/04/2026: Much effort is being made to improve Via Cornigliano. It's a long way from completion and I hope it will be successful because this pastry emporium and "temple of chocolate" merits a better setting.
We were passing by and we're attracted by the window display. Inside, we found the pastries we chose to be absolutely delicious. We shall definitely return.
