21/12/2025: This neighborhood coffee in Foce, has the best cafe in town! It is a place to go to for a quick morning coffee before work, with a great brioche (also vegan options). It is a great place to stop for a freshly prepared lunch by talented cooks, all from organic produce. The menu changes daily and their way they prepare the vegetables, is exceptional. Every Thursday they have an Aperitivo evening serving a selection of natural wines and 2 options of unique dishes. Make sure to book your table ahead, to enjoy this fully Italian immersed experience. It is my second home in Genova. P.S. They also have a selection of organic produce , olive oil, flours, Jess, teas and how can I forget, natural wine.

I sat at one of the few tables inside, and there are also some outside overlooking the street. I ordered a coffee and a canestrello, both delicious and plentiful. The staff were welcoming, smiling, competent, friendly, and helpful, and the service was attentive, fast, and well-priced. This café offers breakfast with a wide selection of focaccia and brioche, including vegan options, and a wide selection of cakes and pastries, including vegan ones, all made with organic ingredients. Lunch is also available, with excellent dishes, including vegan options, and plant-based drinks, in addition to traditional options. 08/11/2025: 11/25 I'm upgrading my review from 1 to 3 stars after the owner's satisfactory response. ****** The ice cream is generally "decent," but the prices are, to be honest, lower than the city average. Some flavors (e.g., extra dark chocolate) are definitely good. Others seem a little watered down or made with pre-mixed ingredients. I have no reason to doubt the owner's good faith, and he claims otherwise, so it's a matter of personal taste. The ice cream shop, especially in winter, remains the only option within a radius of several kilometers, and I've been going there regularly for many years (since it first opened). The two young men, as well as the gentlemen from the original management, are always very kind and professional, but the last time, in October 2025, I found myself served by a (new) sales assistant—a tall, young woman with black hair, to be precise—so annoying (or "refiosa," as the locals would say) and so pissed off that I decided to stop serving them. I hate to leave a negative review, but certain people shouldn't work in public.

08/11/2025: I've been going to Vecchio Mercato for almost twenty years, and it's become a trusted name in my opinion. Probably the best pizza you'll find within a radius of several kilometers. Service is basic but courteous and fast, and the place is traditional and welcoming. I highly recommend the French fries, a must for any diner!

05/10/2025: We all opted for the raspberry ice cream, so we didn't try the other flavors. But the raspberry one was very good. The lady was also nice and the prices are reasonable.

07/03/2026: A friendly and attentive welcome. A wide selection of delicious, gargantuan pizzas at unbeatable prices. Half a liter of sparkling water is only 1 euro, and the beer is served straight and very cold. The menu of pasta and other goodies is extensive. A good place if you want to treat yourself!!!

16/02/2026: We ordered an appetizer to share, a first course each, and the crispy octopus as a second course to share. Everything was delicious, and the presentation was excellent. We also really enjoyed the entrée, the rosemary breadsticks, and the homemade chiacchiere, which were part of the experience. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a special lunch.

31/12/2025: My partner and I had lunch there, taking advantage of the €13 fixed menu. For that price, you get a first course, a second course with a side dish, a bottle of water, a 1/4 cup of wine (red or white), and coffee. Well... they served us in just a few minutes, and the atmosphere was friendly and clean. The portions were excellent and just the right size. What more could you ask for?

10/03/2026: Good pizza, a little too thin for my taste, good place, good service, the only sore point are the additions such as cheese or sausage. €2/3 per product is really a lot for the quantity of product that is added, a maximum of €1.00 is enough in my opinion. 9

19/11/2025: This review is all for the fantastic barista working the counter! The café/pastry shop is excellent (superlative products!), but Rossella is the real gem. Despite being constantly alone and overwhelmed by customer requests, she manages to maintain an Olympian calm and, above all, a sincere and contagious smile. Every time I come here, I return also for her positive energy. A clone would be the solution! Thanks for making coffee breaks such a pleasant experience.

09/11/2025: The croissant was excellent, and the barista was very friendly. A little help at the counter during peak hours wouldn't hurt.

28/12/2025: We tried the cheese focaccia, comparing it to the one we had at our neighbor's. The crust lacks crunch, but the filling is superb! We'll try again this summer...
