10/11/2025: Excellent pizza and desserts, even gluten-free...absolutely recommended

07/11/2025: Good pizzas, but we were disappointed with the pricing. To make some changes, instead of just adding the necessary surcharges, they made us start with more expensive pizzas and added the extras anyway, charging us more toppings. This isn't very fair to customers. My girlfriend ordered a stracchino rossa with fries; the menu includes the Fonzie (tomato, mozzarella, and fries €8.50). The bill, however, charged for a stracchinella with tomato and fries (€12.50 total). I ordered the Homer and asked for mozzarella instead of stracchino (€12.50 total). A real shame, because the pizzas were good, but these practices leave a bitter taste in the mouth and put off the desire to return.

11/11/2025: I would like to give a huge shout out to Deborah and staff for rescuing us when presented with a train strike.The day of the strike we were to catch three trains and then the only flight to Mykonos that week. They went over and beyond spending considerable time to secure us a taxi. Thank you, we will be forever grateful. Also we would like to complement you on our meal that evening, it was most enjoyable.

05/11/2025: Came here for dinner. Too dark to see the view but had some absolutely phenomenal fresh anchovies, pesto gnocchi, and sea bream, at a pretty reasonable price. Would recommend.

28/10/2025: Very nice location with great food and friendly staff. Ate there twice where we had Fritto Misto and Insalatta di Polpo con patate and grilled prawns. Definitely recommend! If the weather allows it would suggest eating outside.

06/10/2025: Last night, my partner and I, while visiting Imperia, dined at this restaurant, which undoubtedly deserves recognition for its willingness to offer vegan options. We had seitan escalopes with mushrooms, the seitan having a very soft texture and the mushrooms being passable but a bit watered down, and a black cherry-flavored gelatine, which I assume is a packaged version from a well-known brand we vegans know well. Overall, the dinner was passable, but what I find less than acceptable is the lack of transparency in the prices of the vegan dishes offered. Customers aren't supposed to ask for the price of each dish, and there's no justification for this omission.

20/10/2025: I used to go there a few years ago, even though it was already quite expensive, it was worth it because the products were good. Last night I went back by chance and it was a unique disappointment. In the internal kiosk, the neon lights shine directly into your eyes, dazzling you and already making you want to leave. I bought two cutting boards and two non-alcoholic aperitifs, two slices of ham and 4 or 5 rosticini. I asked them if they could put an arancini on the cutting board. They used to do that, but they replied that if anything, it had to be purchased separately (the cutting board so meager cost us €15 each). They brought us a small appetizer fork. When I asked for a knife, they gave me the plastic cutlery in a bag that you find in supermarket salad bars. I felt ashamed for them. The place would have enormous potential if it were managed with passion, because the Sicilian specialties they produce are truly Sicilian, but I think Mr. Paolo's desire for commitment has now faded. I definitely won't be going back. At most, I'll buy the products to consume at home!!

18/10/2025: I'm returning to Don Paolo after two years, because he's the only one in Genoa who makes a more than decent Sicilian granita with brioche. I should note that in two years the price has increased by 20%, but not only that... unfortunately, the quantity of granita has decreased by another 20%... now served in a glass of water. As for the quality, however, there's nothing to complain about. Always good. Dear Don Paolo... you've built a reputation in Genoa... but be careful not to ruin it with these little things. The price increase is fine, but make sure you fix the quantity: you need a glass at least 50% larger than the one you get now. Don't be a slouch, and above all, don't ruin the image of Sicily and its oriental granita. A native of Catania, that's my word.

14/12/2025: Average trattoria, excellent socializing through karaoke for lovers. A noisy and noisy atmosphere, where sometimes tone-deaf people can spoil the enjoyment of the food. Difficulty finding parking as it is on a medium-traffic road. What can I say? A classic trattoria with reasonable prices of 20 euros a dish.

07/12/2025: The food is really very good, the only flaw is that they are really very slow, last night 55 minutes of waiting for pizzas and almost 2 hours for the dishes from the kitchen... It's not a problem with whoever serves the table but probably with the management in the kitchen / pizza chef, because during the long wait I was able to observe that instead of "fulfilling" the orders of one table, they were served a part of one table, a part of another, it makes no sense, you make pizzas for one table and then that of another, same thing for the kitchen... While waiting we were served some French fries that we thought were brought to us to apologize for the wait (7 portions) but instead we were then charged for them... It's a shame because with a little more organization it wouldn't be a bad place since the food is excellent, I understand that last night was Saturday and there were a few customers, but a 10 year old child can't wait 2 hours for a plate of pasta.......

14/09/2025: My go-to focacceria—and not only—in Loano, and I dare say in all of Liguria. The focaccia is round, not rectangular, greasy but not overly so, good, and in this case, even too good. The classic one remains my favorite, but the ones with cheese and the ones stuffed with ham are also a must-try. The desserts are also excellent, despite not being their specialty. I know—and consume heavily—baci di dama, amaretti del Sassello, and shortbread. The staff is quick and efficient.

26/07/2025: To order 6 stuffed breadsticks from the morning for the afternoon, I was asked for a deposit... I find that really absurd! Total goods: 5 euros, deposit: 2 euros

22/07/2025: Best Gelato I've had in Finale. Personally my favourite was Cioccorum which was a combination of dark fondente chocolate with strong flavour of Rum, plus Caramello Salato which was absolutely delicious with real caramel gooey bits and sweet-salty taste. 5 stars!

26/10/2025: Hi everyone, the parking is good, there's not much space, but if you have time, you'll find a free space. I arrived on Saturday night and found a couple of spots. There was a 24-hour toilet and shower at the gas station, free of charge. Everything is fine. Thank you very much for the parking.

04/09/2025: The staff were friendly, approachable, and welcoming. I'd called the day before to see if seafood pasta was on the menu. When I arrived, I was surprised to hear they'd included it. Delicious home cooking.

11/08/2025: This beach was like home for the entire month of June, from breakfast to lunch and aperitif. All thanks to Davide's kindness and enormous smile, and his mother's excellent cooking skills.

25/09/2025: I always go to this place because the pastries are excellent, so sugared to the right point. The coffee shop is also top quality. The staff is very helpful and courteous.

21/09/2025: Best Gluten free Brioche / Croissant I ever had. Perfect dough and even my gluten eating partner said this tastes like an original one. Super nice staff, I could order croissants via what’s app to pick up to make sure there are some available. Good prices and nice cafe. Will definitely come back for more!

11/11/2025: On Saturday, we stopped for a drink. There were three of us and a baby a few months old. The place was packed, and two waitresses were running around. One of them asked us if we wanted lunch, and we said we wanted a drink. Fifteen minutes passed, and another waitress came over and asked the same question. After another 10 minutes, the first waitress returned to take our order at the table next to ours. I stopped her and asked if she could please heat water for the baby's bottle in the microwave for 20 seconds. After another 10 minutes, no one returned. I got up and went to the counter to ask for water for the bottle. The very annoyed waitress returned with boiling water. When I asked her if she thought I would ever give boiling water to a baby, she replied that she had forgotten it in the microwave and that there were so many customers, and there were only two of them. All this in a smug and rude tone. I asked for a small bottle of cold water (which I received at room temperature), paid for it, and we left. Improvised waitresses, no "division" of the room to avoid a half-hour wait, rudeness, and condescending attitude. Disorganization reigned supreme, and rudeness did the rest. Terrible!!!

08/11/2025: Beautifully renovated and now boasts a very appealing ambiance. The location and the view are first-class. The coffee is delicious and the aperitif selection is very varied. The bartender does a fantastic job, one that not all the waitstaff can always match. Now that the evenings are getting cooler, the patio heaters are a welcome addition, but we suggest wool blankets to ward off the sea breeze. Keep up the good work!
