26/12/2025: Very small and dirty place. Hot food was left exposed and unprotected. Hygiene was zero. Napkins and glasses were missing from the counter. There was no bathroom, and I wonder how they could authorize the opening of a place without one. The food was cold, with too much oil, and of poor quality. Ligurian focaccia was nothing Ligurian. The place was run by unfriendly black people. High prices. A very negative experience. I wasn't alone, but with a large group who were also dissatisfied. There was an unpleasant smell of burnt oil inside. Never again.
08/12/2025: Excellent focaccia, of all kinds, and reasonably priced. Very friendly staff. I highly recommend it.

29/10/2025: What can I say? If my trusted pastry shop has been a temple of chocolate for over thirty years, even though I'm from the Bisagno Valley, there must be a reason!
Gianluca is truly an artist in his work; you can see he's passionate about it; just look at his Instagram profile to see it.
He's never disappointed me, from his cakes to his magnificent pastries.
Even his window displays are jaw-dropping masterpieces.
And if you think this review is fake, try it for yourself and you'll agree.
A huge thank you to Gianluca and his wife for their professionalism and kindness, which have always distinguished them.

20/10/2025: The Chocolate Temple is ideal for any occasion: birthdays, holidays, anniversaries like Valentine's Day, and even special events like a wedding!
Whether it's 3 chocolates, Chocolate & Raspberry, or something else entirely different, Gianluca's cakes are always a sure thing. Exquisite, creative, and unsurpassed, just like our wedding cake! ❤️

22/02/2026: We're sorry to give a less-than-positive review, but we found the service to be truly inattentive, to say the least, especially from the annoyed waiter, who gave us completely misleading information and even made a joke in terrible taste. The farinata wasn't exceptional (a bit small, contrary to the information provided), and the pulled pork fajitas weren't particularly good. The pulled pork, in particular, wasn't pulled (again, misleading information!) The pizzas, on the other hand, looked very nice. The tiramisu was average.
What a shame!

16/02/2026: A typical Ligurian trattoria with tables under the olive trees and a basket from which food is served freshly cooked in the kitchen. Friendly, family-style service and excellent dishes.
18/01/2026: The welcome is that of a true trattoria, full of warmth and passion. The food is simple, good, and sincere. What left me very perplexed, however, was the €4 cover charge, which was completely unjustified. It's almost a Michelin-starred restaurant price, but this is a trattoria where the tablecloths are made of paper, the cutlery isn't changed between courses, and the bread and breadsticks are trattoria-style. I would have preferred to pay more for more carefully prepared dishes, rather than "give away" a €4 cover charge in a trattoria where the cover charge should be a maximum of €1-2.

That's what I received when I asked about the €29 bill for a €16 plate of spaghetti with clams and bottarga, a €6 glass of Vermentino (the price wasn't listed on the menu and was told to me at the cashier), filtered tap water, and a coffee.
For a quick lunch break, it's a bit high, but above all, the answer is disarming.

24/11/2025: Always a guarantee!! As soon as we arrive in Varazze it's our first stop, the staff is always super friendly and the aperitifs are TOP.
13/11/2025: We came for an aperitif in the evening and were so pleased we returned for breakfast the next day.
For aperitif, we had a non-alcoholic spritz and two stuffed focaccias.
The atmosphere was very welcoming, and the young woman who served us was very kind.
The price and quality of the products were excellent. If we return to Varazze, this will be our go-to bar. ☺️ Thank you!

08/10/2025: Our waiting time for only the drinks was way toooooo looooong. And once I wanted to explain why we were unhappy I was constantly interrupted, being shown the team is not interested in listening to the feedback.
And then I read their replies here to negative reviews.... well, clearly shows off that if one tourist is not coming their will be another one to replace him\her. That's a pity what over tourism does to the service quality :( Better avoid the place not to spoil your whole impression of Cinque Terre as this is the strongest and most negative emotion I have after the trip :(

10/03/2026: A lovely evening at a pizzeria in the heart of Marassi. The atmosphere is small but very family-friendly, with wooden tables and surprisingly comfortable high stools. A little noisy, but you can still chat comfortably.
Really good thin-crust pizza, superbly topped with quality ingredients and cooked in a wood-fired oven.
The young staff is helpful and very polite. It feels like home.
I recommend booking ahead if you want to dine on a Saturday night, as it's always crowded, especially during matches (Genoa/Sampdoria).
Excellent value for money.
Dine-in.
And take-out.
Highly recommended.
Street parking isn't always easy to find, but you can find it nearby.

07/10/2025: We’ve been coming to Pinotto for four years, and it’s still our favorite gelato in Imperia. The flavors are always rich and natural, especially the fruit ones, and the quality is consistently great. Friendly service and a nice local vibe make it a spot we always look forward to.
08/09/2025: First-class service. A wonderful older lady. She's happy to give advice and generously offers samples. The ice cream tastes very good. Intense flavors. High quality. Two large scoops with fresh whipped cream for 3 euros. I'd gladly order again!

09/03/2026: We found this place while walking around Laigueglia. We ordered two fried calamari with chips. They were tender, not greasy, and made to order. We also had two delicious homemade desserts. Overall, we were more than satisfied. We'll definitely be back. Thank you.
