The flavors are only revealed once the bill is settled—undoubtedly a very personal interpretation of informed consent. As for the staff, the welcome is just like the process: glacial. The cashier rushes through without a smile, while the ice cream server seems to consider each order an existential chore. Together, they form a remarkably off-putting duo: a veritable "devilish couple" dedicated to a customer experience you don't want to repeat. Run. Go somewhere else…

22/03/2026: We went to the Gordon Bennett Pub during St. Patrick's Week (specifically the weekend) and the experience was simply fantastic. 🍀🇮🇪 As soon as we entered, we felt transported to Ireland: the authentic atmosphere, the engaging live music, and the energy that immediately captivates you. It truly is a little slice of Ireland in the heart of Rome! The food? Truly delicious, everything carefully crafted and flavorful, perfect with a good beer. But what really makes the difference is the staff: friendly, attentive, and always smiling, capable of making you feel at home from the first moment. If you're looking for a place to have a different experience, with music, good food, and Irish vibes... this is the place. We'll definitely be back! 🍻

15/01/2026: A while back, their pastries and breakfast items were much better. This is my second time here, and I can tell the food isn't fresh. The dry cinnamon rolls were overheated in the microwave, and the incredibly dry Sachertorte sat on the display for ages. It's one of my favorite places. Bring back the quality of your old-fashioned pastries!

12/10/2025: Wonderful meat and cooked just right. It really is a spectacular burger. If you were in the US you couldn't get anything close to this without going to an upscale steakhouse at two or three times the price. I enjoyed the owner and family too, it's one of the reasons I love Italy.

19/01/2026: After being there, I completely understand why it's so hard to get a table at the last minute: the quality is palpable, and word of mouth rightly spreads! The highlight is definitely the pizza, truly excellent, made with top-quality ingredients that are instantly recognizable. The fried foods are equally delicious, crispy and not at all greasy, and the bruschetta is very flavorful and well-seasoned. The only thing to consider is the atmosphere: we were there on a Friday night, and it was very lively and quite noisy. That's the only small flaw in an otherwise perfect evening; I can't imagine what it would be like on a Saturday night! In summary: If you're looking for high-quality pizza and excellent appetizers, this is the place, but be prepared for a very lively and noisy atmosphere. Highly recommended!

08/01/2026: Not satisfied with dinner, we returned the next day for lunch. Truly excellent. Their ingredients are entirely in their hands, and all the pork is Mangialica breed, raised semi-wild locally. Even the dairy products are produced locally and in-house. Friendly table service and good wine selections at very fair prices. Just what I'd expect from a Slow Food snail.

02/01/2026: The atmosphere is casual yet well-maintained, with an excellent fresh produce counter at the entrance. Unfortunately, based on what I ordered, the food didn't quite meet my expectations. The sausage and mushroom lasagna in particular was a complete disaster. There's great potential for improvement, but it's necessary.

16/01/2026: Rome-Calabria is a 15-minute drive away, just enough time to reach Bencò. Excellent food and reasonable prices, highly recommended for those who want to enjoy traditional Calabrian cuisine (as well as classic Roman first courses). The owner is very friendly and approachable; it was a pleasure to celebrate my birthday here!
