The exquisite simplicity of the place and the kindness of the owners warmed our hearts. The piadina left us speechless: delicious, satisfying, filled with lots of cured meats and cheese. 16/06/2026: Fantastic ethnic dining experience. We went with family and had a great time. The food is exceptional, making you feel like you're at an Ethiopian family's home. Everyone loved it, and we'll definitely be back. I discovered it by chance and was completely surprised by the excellent dishes and the atmosphere, rich in African atmosphere. I especially recommend it to vegetarians. A very characteristic place, very good food, extremely courteous waitress. A surprising place. We went to this restaurant for the first time, drawn by the excellent reviews. The atmosphere is very characteristic, the family that runs the place is very kind and helpful, they welcome you like family and treat you with extreme warmth. The food is simply delicious, transporting you to Ethiopia, with typical flavors full of personality. Derek recommends an exquisite dish. The tea is a very tasty treat at the end of the meal, a tasty digestif. We'll be back, and it's highly recommended. I've eaten at this restaurant a while back. I wanted to experience the atmosphere of another country. The owner is truly sweet and kind, but she's obviously alone at lunch, so the dining room feels a bit abandoned. Perhaps there's more folklore at dinner. The food is good, especially the vegetables. Habesha is a small ethnic restaurant in the heart of Bologna. The food is delicious, cooked with so much care and passion, just like the restaurant itself. The space is small but well-kept, very charming, and full of traditional dishes. The staff is incredibly kind and can easily make you smile. Tip: try the African wine; it's delicious. See you later Goodbye.

09/10/2025: Truly delicious sandwiches. Initially, we came solely for the porchetta (which remains the mainstay), but they've increased the variety, maintaining high quality. The staff is very friendly and courteous. It's becoming a pleasant Saturday lunchtime habit.

12/05/2026: An unforgettable anniversary. I begin this review with a well-deserved mea culpa: neither my wife (a true Ferrarese) nor I (in Ferrara since 2011) had ever been to this wonderful restaurant. We decided to make up for it on Sunday, our twelfth wedding anniversary. The tasting menu tempted us, but we opted for à la carte lunch. I had an appetizer, first course, and second course; my wife had an appetizer, second course, and dessert. I believe the attached photographs speak for themselves when it comes to describing the elegance of the location and the beauty and quality of the dishes. I'll just point out that we thoroughly enjoyed some of the truly unusual, yet surprisingly successful, flavor combinations (for example, the wagyu with salmon in the signature main course, but also small details like the pairing of coffee and pineapple in the dessert). The food, course after course, was a true discovery, and we found ourselves laughing and joking, feeding each other samples so as not to miss anything, like two sweethearts. The aspect I'd like to focus on was the wonderful attentiveness of the service, which made us feel truly pampered throughout the meal. For example, since my wife hadn't ordered a first course, they still brought her an amuse-bouche to while away the time. Or, again without a word, my wife's second course was accompanied by a glass of the Japanese liqueur we'd spotted in the display case and commented on. Coincidence or the keen ear of an attentive maître d'? To top it off, a final surprise from the chef with his happy anniversary wishes, as pictured. The final surprise came when the bill arrived: truly very, very, very fair for the experience we had. We'll definitely be back to try the tasting menu.

10/05/2026: I'll start by saying that since it opened, I've tried several flavors, all excellent. However, when we come in, after a quick look at the selection, we always choose the zabaglione. Superlative. You can taste and feel all the ingredients. Delicious. If you like zabaglione, of course. The granitas are also very good, and the owners are very nice. 👏
