25/01/2026: Great dining experience - we enjoyed everything we had although the menu was somewhat limited because they were closing for a 3 week holiday the next day

22/01/2026: Super quaint, with truly exquisite dishes. The service was impeccable, and we felt pampered from start to finish. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to sample Matera's traditional dishes in a unique and refined restaurant. We shared delicious first courses such as orecchiette and paccheri with cod, and sampled the traditional crapiata and pignata with mutton. The cured meats were also excellent, as were the wine and desserts. The restaurant also has a cinema room with beautiful historical images of the city.

06/01/2026: Spurred by the good reviews and confident that wherever you go in Matera you'll eat well, we dined at Annina 1937. I think the kitchen needs some work. You can't call a batter wrapped around cod tempura, which should be crispy, not soggy. I hate overcooked pasta, and messing up a simple dish with two ingredients is difficult. I paid without batting an eyelid; I wasn't asked if I had a good meal. I would have said, "Absolutely not." It's a shame, the place is beautiful, and the girl in the dining room is kind.

11/10/2025: We arrive in the evening in this town that feels a bit like the end of the world, after many hours of travel and having taken a wrong turn. But... in this place at the end of the world, there's a place where the pizza is truly THE END OF THE WORLD! DELICIOUS!!! It's been years since we've eaten pizza like this!

19/09/2025: The place is simple, and the wait was a bit long, considering the pizzeria wasn't crowded at all when we arrived. But I'm still giving it 5 stars because the waitress is very kind and the pizza is superb.

12/10/2025: Very friendly staff. We arrived late (around 4 PM), but they welcomed us kindly. The food was plentiful and tasty, the food was quick, and the service was truly excellent. The set menu was excellent value, and to top it off, they even offered us free coffee. Recommended!

23/12/2025: I found this restaurant by chance and it was a wonderful surprise. All the dishes are traditional local dishes, and in some cases, they've been beautifully reinterpreted by chef Silvana. For those like me who love the flavors and aromas of Italian cuisine, this is an absolute must-visit. A special mention also goes to Mimmo, who is incredibly kind and helpful.

02/01/2026: Highly recommended. With friends, we tried several dishes on the menu, both pasta dishes and sandwiches. Everything is homemade, with local ingredients and dishes. The creamy fava bean and chicory soup is a must-try. The service was quick, and above all, the staff was very courteous and friendly.
