11/05/2025: This is the third time I've returned to Torii Sushi. The food is quality, prepared with fresh and delicious ingredients. I really appreciated the Lucanian influence in the dishes. This makes the cuisine at Torii special. The environment is very quiet, soft lights, excellent for enjoying a dinner for two. I don't recommend it for large tables! The only sore point which unfortunately forced me to give only two stars is the service. Since it's a Saturday night, there's probably more chaos, but in a place like this, which is high-quality and high-end, the customer, whatever he may be, should always be put first and not served hastily as if it were an "any restaurant". I really recommend reviewing some things, and improving the service because this place can really do more! 🫶🏻

I have had the opportunity to try it on several occasions: quiet dinners, holidays and private events that we have organized together. The service has been impeccable every time. The place is well-kept, modern but welcoming, and you can sense the passion with which it is managed. Vincenzo and Anna always make you feel welcome, with that authentic kindness that has become rare today. The cuisine is a perfect balance between tradition and innovation, with fresh ingredients and truly well-thought-out dishes. Even during the events, everything was followed with attention and professionalism, from personalized menus to room service. Highly recommended for those looking for true quality, customer care and a place to always happily return to.

09/05/2025: We went on a trip out of town with the family... a place surrounded by greenery a few km from Guardia Perticara, as soon as we arrived a girl welcomed us with a beautiful smile and we immediately felt at home... a delicious appetizer that immediately filled us up so much that we couldn't finish the very good first courses, the gem was that they made my girls feel really at home by allowing them to say hello to the chef in the kitchen... in fact here I asked my daughter what was the best thing about the trip day he replied "the best thing was that the girl took me into the kitchen behind the counter and behind the cash register" just for this thank you very much We will return to taste the second courses 😁

05/06/2025: We found it by chance and we couldn’t be more lucky. A traditional more than 20m deep cave turned into the paradise of dining. The atmosphere is charmingly sophisticated, yet simple. The food is traditional with a sleight of innovation: we had pane cencio, pure of fave and cicoria, pasta with baccalà and fericelli al ragù di pezzente, tiramisù and a stunning icecream with almonds wild finocchietto and fugues. Finishing touch the liquor of Paolo, the most welcoming and jovial waiter we have met. Hospitality makes you feel at home naturally (not the fake American way). We ended the evening in the small cinema room at the bottom, watching little fragments of movies shot in Matera in the course of the years: mementos of how much has stayed intact while restoring this invaluable place. An absolute value for the money. A must go.

26/05/2025: Unfriendly waiter, the pasta was still raw, had to send it back twice but it stayed raw. The waiter who apologized for the pasta was friendly. Luckily we didn't have to pay for the pasta.

The atmosphere is enchanting, perfect for a relaxing break to enjoy sandwiches and salads. What particularly struck me, in addition to the beauty of the place, was the impeccable cleanliness and the sincere welcome given to our four-legged friends. It is a real pleasure to find a place that not only offers excellent products, but which also demonstrates attention and sensitivity towards our furry companions. 04/05/2025: Siamo stati all'antica credenza durante il ponte del 25 aprile. Nonostante Matera fosse invasa da migliaia di persone il servizio è stato eccellente ed il cibo ottimo. Da due panini abbiamo fatto togliere la mozzarella per intolleranza e ci sono stati scontati 2 euro a panino. Mai successo al nord. Consigliatissimo per un pasto veloce durante la visita ai sassi.

13/02/2025: We stayed in this facility over the weekend from 7 to 9 February, unfortunately the weather didn't allow us to find snow but the place gave us many other attractions: the enchanting lake plain, the village of Pignola and a visit to the historic center of Potenza. As for the hotel, excellent location and everything well managed but my review is aimed in particular at the restaurant's cuisine... simply excellent, a chef who delighted us with his dishes and recipes, and then a special thanks to Daniele of the staff for his availability and courtesy. We will definitely be back to find snow too!

28/05/2025: Scegliere un ristorante buono a Matera è piuttosto semplice. Ma sceglierne uno eccellente potrebbe non esserlo. Il vento ha fatto cadere il cappello di mio figlio in Vico Purgatorio Vecchio, ed ecco che ci siamo trovati davanti all'ingresso dei Palmenti. In questo ristorante prezioso e magico, il tempo si ferma. Io ho preso delle tagliatelle al cacao con pomodorino fresco e peperone crusco on top. Mi sto ancora leccando i baffi. La cialledda è saporita e gustosissima. Abbiamo scelto un rosso speciale, 90% primitivo e 10% merlot. Ho ancora il suo profumo nelle narici. La location è fresca e molto accogliente. Così come Lorenza e i suoi ragazzi. La gentilezza e la cortesia la fanno da padroni! L'esperienza è stata eccellente. Non dimenticatevi di provare il loro liquore alle noci e quello al finocchietto. Come dice Borghese, VOTO DIESCI!
