26/07/2025: Bon service, salades italiennes faites avec goût. Bien situé, au calme, avec de bonnes tartines, Plus de goût dans les salades permettait d avoir une note parfaite.

22/07/2025: Posto tranquillissimo perché su una stradina secondaria, ma vicino alla piazza principale di Matera. Eccellente tagliere molto carico di salumi e formaggi. Ottima bruschetta. Proprietario gentilissimo. Prezzi onesti. Consigliatissimo! Soprattutto se volete scappare dai posti turistici.

10/10/2025: While visiting Matera, we had lunch at this little restaurant. The food was excellent, the staff were very friendly, and the prices were very reasonable. We'll definitely be back.

09/10/2025: We had lunch among the Sassi of Matera in a truly unique setting: outdoor tables overlooking a spectacular view. The menu offers traditional dishes, as well as modern twists, such as cacio e pepe with crusco peppers, cooked with great skill and attention to authentic flavors. The orecchiette with turnip tops, fried breadcrumbs, and crusco peppers, as well as the caponata, were delicious. The service was excellent: the staff were friendly, fast, and very helpful, despite the unusual hours (the kitchen is open until 4 pm!). A relaxing lunch made special by the evocative setting and the quality of both the food and the hospitality. Highly recommended for those who want to experience an authentic experience in the heart of Matera.

13/09/2025: We had lunch as a couple, with a salad and a Matera crouton with mortadella and mozzarella. Everything was good. The service was a plus, as I had ordered the chicken salad with an avocado sauce, but it was spicy. Since I couldn't tolerate spicy food, I told the waitress, who promptly replaced the dish, quickly bringing back the same salad but without the sauce. Recommended!

11/09/2025: We had dinner this evening at this little restaurant overlooking Piazza San Francesco. The food was excellent and plentiful. The owners were truly kind and hospitable. We sampled the local specialties and appreciated this splendid city even more.

05/09/2025: A pleasant atmosphere surrounded by greenery, with horses and cows right out front. Super friendly service. Rich and delicious sandwiches. The coffee is also very good. Everything you need to end a lovely walk on the Pollino.

30/07/2025: Das Essen war geschmacklich wirklich sehr lecker! Leider war die Portion meiner Nudeln mit Parmesansoße recht klein – nach wenigen Gabeln war der Teller leer, und ich war nicht wirklich satt. Auch der Lachs meiner Freundin kam nur mit einem Mini Salat als Beilage. Für zwei Gericht in dieser Preisklasse (50 €) hätten wir etwas mehr erwartet. Schade, denn geschmacklich war es top.“

02/09/2025: The biggest drawback I have is that it's quite hot inside (we went in September, so it'll be even worse in the summer), and they only have a small fan. We had risotto and spaghetti carbonara, which were very good, although what we liked most was the cheesecake; it was spectacular.

08/06/2025: The focaccia slice was really good, there are many flavors to choose from. 48-hour slow-rising dough. Very good. Staff a little slow to understand customer needs such as other focaccias to make or air conditioning.... Anyway, I recommend it if you don't have huge service expectations

19/06/2025: I have been a guest of Pierfaone on the occasion of some weddings, including, recently, mine! I can confirm the very high quality and professionalism of the service as well as the food, very difficult to find elsewhere. The location is beautiful and well-kept, as well as being suggestive in winter and welcoming in summer. Both for events and for staying, the climate is mild and fresh even in summer. Absolutely and warmly recommended. Thanks in particular to Donato and Daniele who were impeccable as well as to the rest of the staff, from the first to the last available, kind and very prepared!

17/06/2025: Excellent food, with very reasonable prices, especially when compared to the increases that all the restaurants have made recently (from north to south). There were 5 of us for dinner and we tried the appetizers (a mix of land and sea), the chicken cutlet, the pizza with spirulina dough (with the owner/chef who explained the preparation to us) and dessert. Everything was very good. We were very satisfied. The waiting staff was kind and courteous. I recommend it.
