23/12/2025: I found this restaurant by chance and it was a wonderful surprise. All the dishes are traditional local dishes, and in some cases, they've been beautifully reinterpreted by chef Silvana. For those like me who love the flavors and aromas of Italian cuisine, this is an absolute must-visit. A special mention also goes to Mimmo, who is incredibly kind and helpful.

07/07/2026: I've been to the Hermes Restaurant in Policoro several times, and each time has been a confirmation. It's one of those places you'll want to return to because you know you'll eat well. The quality of the ingredients is always high, the dishes are carefully prepared, and the fish is truly excellent. The service also deserves a mention: the staff is courteous, professional, and always attentive to the customer. It's not easy to maintain consistency over time, but Hermes manages it. 11/08/2026: Unfortunately, it was a negative experience. I was disappointed because the restaurant didn't offer pizzas or alternatives truly suitable for vegans and lactose intolerant people. I had simply asked for a pizza to be modified, replacing the sausage with artichokes or a suitable alternative. Unfortunately, my request was denied, and I wasn't offered a valid alternative. I understand that not all modifications are possible, but if a restaurant doesn't offer pizzas suitable for people with specific dietary needs, I would expect at least some willingness to find a solution. For this reason, my experience was disappointing, and I personally wouldn't recommend this pizzeria to vegans or those with lactose intolerance. Not to mention the wait: people arrived after us and left before us, the (recommendations). The only positive note: Good pizza!

10/05/2026: I was in Matera 3 days. The restaurant was never open and the doors locked. On the street level there was a large menu board and a few tables but it looks like they are closed at least temporary. No signs that say they are closed but it sure looks that way.

07/04/2026: We had a wonderful experience on Easter Monday 2026! We were four adults and a two-year-old child, and we had a truly wonderful time. The food was delicious, and the staff was patient, kind, and truly talented. There are so many animals—peacocks, cows, donkeys, ponies, horses, chickens, pigs, and bunnies—that make it perfect for both adults and children. The farm-style play area and outdoor relaxation area are also lovely. An ideal experience for families; we'll definitely be back!
