14/10/2025: Not sure why 4.5 stars as average. The food was very very bland with not much taste. The vegetarian risotto was without any taste, I had to add a ton of parmigiano. The pizza was also ok, but nothing great. In the home-country of pizza, you can find many other better options! 😊

The atmosphere is relaxing and meticulously maintained, with attentive service and a staff that's always friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a delicious seafood and mountain appetizer, accompanied by excellent drinks. The quality, cleanliness, and courtesy were top-notch. It's one of those places you instantly want to return to!

02/09/2025: Fantastic dishes, everything delicious, especially the fish, which is incredibly fresh. The location is delightful, as is the staff. Valeria, the waitress, in particular, is always kind, helpful, and cheerful, making dinner even more enjoyable.

16/10/2025: I went there two consecutive mornings during a short stay in Livorno at the end of August. The products were excellent, and the staff were very kind and professional. I couldn't ask for anything better... Whoever complains about a pastry shop like this, I'd like to see what they eat at home...

14/09/2025: My review is neutral/negative, not so much for the room, because I have to say I had a good time and it was very clean, with a comfortable bed. The negative review concerns the restaurant, because I think the à la carte price/quality ratio is unfavorable. The appetizer was three slices of warmed bread with a little lard and cherry tomatoes, the main course was a tagliata with arugula and parmesan that tasted a bit stale, a caponata on the side, dessert was a small cup with white chocolate topping and a small scoop of ice cream with a little amaretto crumbled on top—€7!!! (For €7, I expected a larger portion), 1/4 bottle of red wine (€5!), 1 liter of water (€40!)! I find this a lot of money, both for the disorganized service (the owner was running back and forth to serve the tables, which honestly made me anxious) and for the slowness of the service.

09/09/2025: We had the daily menu for dinner, with generous portions, perfect attention to gluten and dairy products (without any extra charge!), and truly excellent value. Cleanliness, friendliness, and courtesy were top notch. We'll be back again this evening 😍

16/10/2025: We ate at this trattoria on Sunday for lunch. The restaurant was fully booked, but the service, which was initially slow (though we had requested a soufflé, which requires cooking on the spot), was quick and punctual. We ate well, with refined, home-style cooking. I personally enjoyed their mixed salad, which I made again for my family when we returned from vacation. Excellent value. Recommended.

29/09/2025: For work, I spent three days in the beautiful village of La Magdeleine. I only tried the restaurant (not the hotel). The dishes are all excellent and plentiful, with the pork cheeks standing out. The staff is always kind and attentive to every request. It's definitely worth trying again and again.

15/10/2025: I really enjoyed our visit, it is a fully vegan establishment and, although I'm not vegan myself, I was happy to 'give it a go', the food was really interesting and the service very pleasant. This would be to perfect quiet retreat for a young vegan couple. I definitely recommend it, I felt comfortable and relaxed here, it is very laid back and welcoming. That goes for Certaldo Alto and the Tuscany region of Italy in general to, though ☺️

18/09/2025: The location is fantastic, with a spectacular view, the food is delicious and every little detail is taken care of, as is everything else. The waiter was extremely knowledgeable about everything. It was a wonderful experience discovering new flavors.

04/09/2025: I often go to this gelateria, which I consider to be top-notch, especially for its ingredients. Last time, however, I had some doubts: first, they served me gelato on a broken wafer, and the ricotta flavor (my favorite) was very soft and had to be eaten quickly. My friend had a brioche with gelato; they ordered the gelato with a scoop, which is impossible to work with like a paddle. The gelato with brioche was served on a small plate with a fork (like a cake, in which case a teaspoon is better), and the brioche without a scoop! All this loss, which grew up in northeastern Sicily, is difficult to digest and, in my opinion, diminishes the overall excellent quality of this place.

02/10/2025: Sicilians on vacation in Trieste, we have some excellent ice cream shops in Sicily. Being a pastry chef as well, I was fascinated by the layout, cleanliness, and order... The ice cream, of course, was amazing. 😋😋 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED... 😉👍🏼
