23/06/2025: Place has a great vibe and setting. Staff is friendly enough and service was ok. Food is ok but prob not worth the price. Not that the food is all that expensive but it's nothing special. Oh lastly, couldn't finish half the pizza with everything else so asked the server to pack it and she misunderstood and threw it away. Not even an apology.. might be a good place to take in a match but one wasn't on when I was there.

14/06/2025: Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to expectations. We had specifically asked for advice on the size of a large cutting board, suitable for two people, but what was served to us was completely different: small portions and absolutely not comparable to the size of a large cutting board (inappropriate sauce, fatty stew and focaccia better left alone ...). The two of us found ourselves with only one set of cutlery. The beers are good It is even more disappointing that at the time of the bill we were asked, as is customary, "how did it go?", but despite having expressed my disappointment, the feeling is that the words went unheard. Too bad, because perhaps these are the dimensions of the cutting boards that this place offers but based on experiences in other places I consider it all disappointing

29/06/2025: Ho pranzato qui la scorsa domenica con un'amica, e ci è piaciuto un sacco! Abbiamo apprezzato molto le spiegazioni (non richieste) della proprietaria sul servizio ai tavoli un po' rallentato. Quindi, il ristorante è da elogiare anche per la correttezza nei confronti del cliente. Abbiamo preso un primo (strangozzi al tartufo), salsicce arrostite e cicoria ripassata, accompagnati da un grechetto alla mescita ottimo. Davvero consigliato!

01/07/2025: We had dinner on a delightful terrace in the historic center of Spoleto, enjoying a splendid evening atmosphere. The setting is truly enchanting: intimate and refined. The food was excellent, with well-presented dishes and quality ingredients. Some preparations could be further refined to reach a truly excellent level, but overall the gastronomic experience was more than satisfactory. The real strong point, however, was the staff: welcoming, attentive, never intrusive but always present. Impeccable, friendly and professional service, which contributed decisively to making the evening special. Recommended for those looking for a romantic dinner or simply a relaxing experience with good food and high-level service, in the heart of one of the most fascinating cities in Umbria.

03/06/2025: A true fine dining experience. Service was impeccable with excellent food presentation. The food was delicious especially the pasta truffle, pigeon and chocolate sphere. The wine advice was spot on.

14/03/2025: A Visit to a splendid location. We were welcomed by Federico who accompanied us to the restaurant where we tasted the production of their Extra Virgin Olive Oil. We chose the monocultivar Cerguepapa. Truly extraordinary oil of the highest quality. Of course we took home 12 bottles. A fantastic condiment. Excellent discovery. Highly recommended!!!!

27/03/2025: It was recommended to us by the manager of the "Torre della Botonta" residence to shop for typical cured meats in the area and to have us prepare the fantastic porchetta sandwich to eat for lunch on the return journey 😀 I would say an excellent experience! The special products speak for themselves ... and Serafino's wife who served us was very kind and friendly. We will remember Serafino's porchetta every time we eat the fresh salami and sausages that we brought home 😉

28/05/2025: We went to dinner at this hotel/restaurant/pizzeria, very simple with a beautiful wood fireplace where the meat is grilled, we opted for a pizza with appetizers of cold cuts and bruschetta. Excellent food, great kindness of the owner Massimo, truly very beautiful location. Excellent value for money we will definitely be back. Thank you.

02/06/2025: Raramente lascio recensioni, ma questa volta sentivo quasi il dovere di farlo. L’urgenza nasce da un’esperienza talmente deludente da lasciare senza parole, e ancora più incredibile se si considera che il ristorante ci era stato caldamente consigliato da un locale. La Barcaccia si presenta bene: l’ambiente è caratteristico, con molte fotografie e quadri legati al Festival di Spoleto, e il personale è gentile. Sembrava l’inizio perfetto. Purtroppo, è stato un abbaglio. I tempi di attesa sono stati molto lunghi, e quando finalmente sono arrivati i piatti… l’amarezza è stata doppia. La mia pasta al tartufo, dal costo decisamente alto, era una porzione gourmet e non particolarmente buona. Ma la vera nota dolente è stata la parmigiana della mia compagna: davvero scandalosa. Sapeva di vecchio, sembrava un piatto precotto e malamente riscaldato, con quella consistenza molle e il sapore piatto di qualcosa rimasto in frigo per giorni. Prezzo? 14 euro. Assurdo. In mensa universitaria, per un piatto simile (e probabilmente anche migliore), ne avrebbero chiesti 3,50 euro al massimo. A completare il quadro, pane palesemente vecchio di almeno un giorno, con mollica che si sgretola, patate al forno stanche e riscaldate male, e un vino della casa acidognolo. Conto salato, soddisfazione inesistente.

14/06/2025: Good takeaway and slice pizza. You absolutely must remove the wording pizza al piatto. I wonder how you could have received authorization from the municipality to occupy public land with tables without a bathroom. That guy who jumps between tables breaks his back but he can't make up for a lack of staff generated by an activity organized for something other than traditional catering.

19/06/2025: When I pass through Spoleto, a dinner at Sportellino restaurant is a must! Excellent home cooking and friendly service. Strangozzi (or Stringozzi) with black truffle, among the best I have tried. Vegetables from the owners' garden. Moderate price. I hope to return soon!
