Locanda dei Sapori In Spoleto

I wanted to hug the chef, but I was really too full. There were seven of us. The regular dishes were good, the truffle dishes were good, the snail dishes were good. There's an impressive variety of choices, and everything we ordered was good. The meat—wild boar, lamb, chicken wings—was all juicy, tender, and flavorful without being overly flavorful. The sauces were excellent, in the case of goose, truffle, snails, and a simple red wine. We finished with semifreddo and a special spoletina. The house red wine was strong but pleasant. The limoncello and grappa were special, especially the grappa, which was very smooth. I really appreciated it. It was my first time, but I really hope it won't be my last. I forgot to mention the very courteous, fast, and helpful service. Exceptional people. I want to go back! I hope I'll be in time.... Photo of the snail menu.

A sensational, unique, and authentic experience! Everything was exceptionally good, from the appetizers to the coffee, from the first courses to the second courses, from the side dishes to the dessert! The location is neat and welcoming, the service is very friendly and attentive to every request. The final bill was excellent! We will definitely be back!

In the heart of Eggi, on a winding alley just steps from the church, lies this little gem. The "Locanda dei Sapori" trattoria offers a menu featuring local products at incredibly reasonable prices. Their specialty is snails, cooked in any way (delicious fried, but I loved the snail skewers!). Service is informal and very fast.

A hidden gem in Eggi, strategically located just a few kilometers from Spoleto and several other Umbrian villages. This small inn with a simple and tranquil atmosphere prepares delicious traditional regional dishes, including fabulous pasta dishes paired with a variety of sauces and a wide selection of meat and snail dishes, the true specialty. My girlfriend and I tried two first courses, the snail skewers, and a dessert. Everything was excellent and very reasonably priced, around €20 per person including a half liter of good red wine, water, and coffee.

A pleasant surprise. The flavors of an old-fashioned trattoria, and the prices are fair for the quality and quantity. I'll gladly return.
