04/11/2024: I stumbled upon Osteria del Buchetto by chance, and I must say that it was an unexpectedly pleasant discovery. The atmosphere is that of a real tavern: welcoming, genuine and with a rustic touch that immediately makes you feel at home. The staff was friendly and approachable, ready to recommend the dishes of the day and tell us a little about the local specialties. The menu offers traditional dishes prepared with fresh and tasty ingredients. Each course seemed to be prepared with care and love for home cooking. Particular mention should be made of the homemade pasta and local cured meats, which are truly exceptional. The portions are generous, perfect for those who love to eat well and appreciate simple but good things. In summary, if you happen to find yourself in the area, I highly recommend a stop at Osteria del Buchetto. It is one of those places that you don't expect but that leave their mark, where you can really taste the local cuisine and have an authentic gastronomic experience.

Their extensive selection of specialty beers, both on tap and bottled, is a treat for beer enthusiasts. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, - also making it a great spot for families with children. Highly recommend this place!

31/07/2024: Ci siamo fermati in questo ristorantino nel centro storico di spello perché ci ha incuriositi e perché abbiamo letto le numerose recensioni positive. Tutto ottimo dall’accoglienza al cibo. Le ragazze ai tavoli gentili e preparate. Cibo ottimo; abbiamo preso una degustazione di salumi e formaggi e stringozzi al tartufo. Prezzi onesti.Assolutamente consigliato

30/08/2024: Super positive experience in this delightful place. A team of young people who run a very nice place. The first courses are sublime, especially the truffle gnocchi, the mixed platter of regional cheeses and cured meats, and the tomato snail soup. Honest price and a lot of seriousness in fast and impeccable service to manage an outdoor room at 40° in the shade of a hot day in mid-August. The whole context is delicious and beautiful, Spello is wonderful!

27/08/2024: We stopped for dinner and I would say we made an excellent choice!!!! Excellent quality food and a wide choice of typical dishes!! The wine and especially the craft beer are excellent. Professionalism and kindness of the staff...... everything perfect!!!!!

28/10/2024: atmosfera suggestiva. location caratteristica. camere un po' piccole ma funzionali. organizzazione e gestione di tipo agriturismo non vi aspettate un trattamento da 5 stelle. cena molto buona ad un prezzo onestissimo (vino della casa offerto) colazione genuina senza buffet ma a richiesta vi sono affettati e formaggi, uova. piscina molto bella. il tutto immerso in un oliveto fantastico con vista sulla vallata. Ospitalità genuina ma professionale.

29/08/2024: Very nice and charming restaurant, friendly and helpful service, homemade pasta and bread for celiacs, which is why I give it 5 stars. The truffle gnocchi were delicious but the Florentine was stellar! Really very good! Advise.

09/12/2024: I went today for a roadside lunch with my boyfriend. We found competent and friendly staff and a pleasant environment. We ordered the typical Umbrian pasta: very tasty and well cooked!! Excellent tiramisu!! We devoured everything 🥰

06/12/2024: Non sono solito a fare recensioni, ma questa qui se la merita tutta. Eravamo a Spello con mia moglie e bimbo di un anno per fare un giretto e passare una domenica, passeggiando decidiamo di pranzare da qualche parte e chiamamiamo questo posto. Risponde una signora, a quanto pare lei non mi sentiva, ma io sentivo lei, le dicevo :"pronto signora mi sente?", lei mette in file 5/6 pronto uno più irritato dell altro e chiude con un :"(*google non mi fa scrivere la parola, ma è quella che serve per mandare a quel paese). Provo a richiamare per una spiegazione e lei mi dice:" cosa ne sa di quello che sto facendo io, non mi rompere i (*non posso scrivere la parola, intendeva gli attributi) e (* mi manda a quel paese) di nuovo".

15/11/2024: Not to justify the management, but perhaps those who complain about the "rusticity" of the service have not understood that it is a real trattoria (not a restaurant), that the menu is written on the street (just read it), that the cuisine is admittedly tough, that the place is a corridor and the strollers really don't fit there, and that the ladies rightly can't stand the jokes of "you can't have it without garlic" "I would be intolerant to ..." and various insults. I ate there only twice, always with great satisfaction (and Lungarotti wine for €10 which I don't even get in the supermarket) and the only inconvenience I had was caused by customers at nearby tables with unseemly eating problems who were used to only eating fake packaged food. The lady was too good not to throw them out. Historically in trattorias you eat what there is and if you don't like it you go back to having a very sad aperitif

20/11/2024: we were their guests for a day on a short weekend with a camper in the lands of San Francesco... welcomed familiarly by the very nice owner, Mr. Alberto who explained to us the meticulous restoration of the farmhouse brought back to its ancient medieval splendor..... small and comfortable rest area with electricity connection and possibility of loading and unloading water.... we booked for dinner and were struck by the kindness of the cook who offered us a gastronomic tour of local specialties revisited with delicacy and skill.... and to finish in the morning a fabulous breakfast... p.s. we purchased a can of oil produced by them which we had enjoyed at dinner on pieces of bread..... a heartfelt thank you with the certainty of a soon return... to Majora

07/11/2024: I stayed with family and friends at this very nice establishment for the All Saints weekend. Located a stone's throw from the center of Spello, it is welcoming and clean. Friendliness and kindness of the owners Alberto and Stefania and of all the staff always attentive to the needs of the customers. Excellent cuisine. . I rediscovered ancient flavors. Truly a great experience. . To be recommended and to return. . Compliments

24/10/2024: Excellent hotel in the historic center of Spello with a beautiful view of the Umbrian hills! The hotel can be reached by car, it has a small garage (suitable only for small cars), alternatively it is possible to park in the small square in front even if there are few spaces.

23/08/2024: Posto accogliente, e cibo ottimo. Tagliere di salumi e formaggi che merita 10 stelle. Insieme al tagliere consigliato le tagliatelle a “fantastici” funghi porcini. Proprietario accogliente e affabile.

16/08/2024: Ho pranzato con la mia famiglia in questa enoteca, che si trova lungo il corso principale di Spello. Buonissime e leggere, nonostante gli ingredienti 'impegnativi", le bruschette a base di tartufo bianco e nero, pomodorini secchi, rucola, e le immancabili bianche con uno strepitoso olio locale e con il pomodoro fresco. Altrettanto buone le tagliatelle. Insalatona mediterranea fresca e con materie prime genuine. Servizio gentilissimo! Prezzi assolutamente onesti. Siamo stati proprio bene! Grazie!

24/08/2024: We came on the recommendation of the B&B where we are guests and I would say excellent advice. Dinner outdoors, a bit of confusion but pleasant environment, friendly and appropriately fast service, divine dishes, enormous grilled fillet and cooked very well, excellent grilled potatoes and tiramisu which was also divine. Then they offered us a grappa with coffee. We will be back for sure.
