11/07/2025: We spent our first evening in Umbria after eight years in Tuscany in Spello, finishing with a delicious meal at Osteria del Buchetto. As always, the service was very friendly and the dinner was delicious. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to end their day with a delicious meal. Definitely worth repeating.

21/08/2025: We chose it for the excellent reviews and it was a very good choice!! A quaint place and an atmosphere that makes you say wow, how beautiful!! Excellent quality food, with a fabulous tartare and carpaccio for starters. For main courses, gnocchi with truffle and gnocchi with goose ragù!! Very good!! The staff were very kind and always available and the place was spotless. We had a great time!!

21/08/2025: On our way to Lake Trasimeno, we stopped in Spello and chose this restaurant for lunch. A truly sublime experience with excellent dishes! A beautiful restaurant right in the center, and an owner who makes you feel right at home. If you're in Spello or nearby, this is the place to eat!

24/08/2025: Nice place, great food! Not the standard burger... high quality ingridients, nice beer selections. All we (family of four) had a good time here.

20/08/2025: We just visited this place and I have to say we were very satisfied: my husband had a Cope beer, very fruity, and even I, who am not a beer fan at all, found it pleasant and delicious! Then we had onion rings, burgers, and ribs, everything was delicious, and the meat was cooked to perfection! The staff was very welcoming and knowledgeable, we felt truly at ease! Small, minimalist, and well-kept location with a beautiful brick ceiling! I highly recommend it!

20/08/2025: RESPONSE TO THE RESTAURANT OWNER: Point 1: I think you're remembering very poorly, given that there weren't four of us and, more importantly, as I wrote in my review, we had lunch, not dinner. Point 2: Criticism should be accepted in order to improve; it's a good thing to do in general in life, especially if you work with people. Point 3: But who goes back there!? There are so many great places in Spello, where you can find good food and, at this point, I have no doubt, also good manners. This rating is mainly based on the treatment I received. The food is good, in fact, nothing extraordinary, but good. But if I stop at a restaurant, I expect not to be "politely" asked to leave after my last bite. Outside the restaurant, along with the menu with the prices—which aren't cheap, but after all, you can more or less know what the bill will be—they should state that you should eat quickly to free up the table. I understand that this is a busy tourist season, but in delightful Spello you can find the same or better quality, combined with the opportunity to enjoy a well-priced lunch without having to get up still chewing.

15/07/2025: We spent 4 days in this special place. My partner and I can only say thanks to Jacopo, Luciano, Estela, Valentina and Elvira for their availability, kindness and what can I say? Arriving in this place is like touching the sky with a finger. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a bit of peace and serenity within themselves. Unfortunately it didn't last long, but what you have transmitted to us is worth a lot. A pesto

24/08/2025: Small restaurant in the center of Spello. Excellent local cuisine. Friendly staff. Outdoor seating available, sheltered from the sun. Well-executed local cuisine. The menu is very basic but affordable. The wait is a bit long. The bill is fair.

24/08/2025: I went to this osteria with my girlfriend. A dear neighbor recommended it to us. It's located in the historic center of Spello. I recommend making a reservation. The place is well-kept down to the last detail. A very beautiful and simple place with very welcoming people who looked after us throughout the dinner. Typical Umbrian products!!! Their menu is rich and has very fair prices with just the right portions. We ate very well and had a lovely evening thanks to a tasty dinner!! 😋 The ladies are very kind, welcoming, and friendly. We hope to return soon!

07/09/2025: Good morning, unfortunately, we left with high expectations, given the host's kindness when taking our reservation. Arriving at 2:00 PM sharp to enjoy a well-deserved lunch, we gradually discovered surprises: 1) Classic method sparkling wine opened with a bang, like at the best New Year's Eve celebrations... Absolutely wrong. Poured with abundant foam, to our amazement. 2) The interior lacks soundproofing despite the very close tables and the echoing walls. I couldn't even hear my wife... You might say... Maybe... But if I'm spending more than €100, I want a quality restaurant. 3) The next table had two, yes, two dogs that barked throughout the entire lunch... They could have invited the group to eat outside. It disturbed the entire room, including the waiters. 4) We asked for eggplant parmigiana with burrata... Do you have burrata? Yes. It arrives... with an almost non-existent cheese drizzle. If I ask if it has burrata, I ask if it has a burrata on the plate, not a colata. Basically, a slightly larger replica of one of the seven appetizers on the other appetizer. Absurd. 5) Cacio e pepe... cheese never arrived. Pepper forgotten in the kitchen like salt. Both first courses were tasteless. Truffle on the second course was almost invisible. 6) I'd say enough is enough, we didn't order anything else. It's a shame because it looks good, with courteous staff, but minimal service. They never changed the cutlery despite the mix of odors and flavors that didn't blend together. Pretty serious.

02/09/2025: I had the pleasure of dining at Locanda Del Postiglione a few days ago: delicious food (the millefeuille for dessert is especially recommended), charming atmosphere (the view from the outdoor tables is stunning), and good service. My only complaint: the wait was a bit too long.

23/08/2025: **Overpriced and rude** Only dine in this restaurant if you are ready to pay for SALT! (see photo of the menu) They have a minimum spending per person of 15€!! (see menu!!) Not welcoming. They sat and served local people that arrived after us, letting us standing there waiting... This place is so not worth it! 🥴 When we asked for olive oil the waiter very rudely pointed at the manu and commanded "open, open" then pointed at their extra charge, then left! Last year's prices for Primi in this restaurant were about 8€ (see older reviews), now they cost an average of 13-14€... That's quite an increase in price not consistent with other (much!) nicer restaurants in the region. Anyways, the town is super cute, so I would recommend visiting, taking some.amazing photos.... and dinning elsewhere... a hundred per cent! Note (edit to my review): at the end of our meal they over charged us by 11€ . We contested the bill, the attendant refused to provide us with a breakdown of the charges (we only received a bill with the total amount). We showed them the breakdown and they were still overcharging. The man was absolutely and totally rude. At the end he got very upset that we didn't give in and kicked us out in front of all the other customers.... I guess the only positive about this experience is that for some weird reason he refused to let us pay, in a hurry to see us go! Go figure! 🤷🏻‍♀️ ---------- After reading the owner's response I must say I'm rather disappointed! Other people get threatened with lawyers, other get paragraphs of insults! We got one line and a half and no court date 🥴🥴🤣🤣🤣

22/08/2025: Intimidated (so to speak!) by the owner's potential venomous response, as I read in the replies to reviews he doesn't like, I'll try to soften the tone. I started frequenting the restaurant about thirty years ago, on Sunday, June 23, 1996 (just to avoid being called a moron!!), and throughout that time, I've always appreciated the authenticity of the place and the food. I'd actually been away for a few years, during which time the management probably changed. We were guests on the evening of Saturday, August 16, and we stumbled upon the wrong night—unfortunately, that happens. I should point out that there were six of us "foodies" at the table and that we regularly go to restaurants (just to avoid being called starving!), and three of us, by profession, work with food (just to avoid being considered naive!). To be specific, you don't have to be Cracco or Cannavacciulo to say that in ragù, whether made with hare, goose, or any other animal, the meat can't be presented in chunks but must be minced at the very least, otherwise the sauce will be disconnected from the pasta, as was duly verified. Furthermore, if the truffle is clearly summer truffle, a larger amount should be used, otherwise the dish will be bland, perhaps even costing a few euros more, which is understandable. If the waiter asks for the meat to be cooked medium, it's expected that it will be cooked as soon as it "stops bleeding," not several minutes later, rendering it stringy and inedible. It must be acknowledged that the grilled fillet, from which a small piece was removed by the person who ordered it and another by me for verification and left on the plate, was rightly removed from the bill. The grilled pecorino cheese fared differently, however, as it deserved a few more minutes of cooking. It can happen, though it would be better not, that the wine initially recommended by the waiter turns out to be sold out, as are some of the desserts on the menu. In conclusion, given the beauty of the little square that hosted us and the entire village of Collepino, I hope the negative experience is just a coincidence and that the new management (which I take for granted) will reap the benefits of the past years. It's a matter of those damned details that make the difference between eating and enjoying the food. The affection that binds me to these places (I'm proudly Umbrian!!) compels me to give that second chance that shouldn't be denied to anyone, hoping, as I said before, that I stumbled upon the wrong evening.

27/08/2025: The room was very spacious, clean, and had incredible views. The breakfast was very comprehensive, and the staff was always attentive to our dietary restrictions. What I liked most was the location and the friendliness of the staff. I highly recommend staying at this hotel.

16/08/2025: A small but quaint place, with a few tables both indoors and outdoors. We ordered an appetizer to share and three first courses: the quality of the dishes was good, but the taste was unimpressive. Unfortunately, the kitchen was poorly organized: despite arriving and ordering before other tables, our dishes arrived very late. Furthermore, my wife was served first, leaving our daughter without a plate and forcing her to wait even longer. The price was fair (€55 for three, including an appetizer and two bottles of water), but the service could be improved.
