A charming place. Nestled among olive groves. Tranquility and peace reign supreme. Jacopo and his father are wonderful. Weather permitting, you can enjoy relaxing by the pool with a beautiful view.

My husband and I spent a part of our Italian Honeymoon here in Spello at the AGRITURISMO IL BASTIONE. Everyone working there was so kind and helpful. Valentina was a sweet heart and Jacobo cooked up some wonderful meals. I absolutely recommend eating dinner there. Their fixed menu is different each day, but WOW, the food is so delicious. From the bread, to the truffle pasta, the mixed antipasti plate, and the meat course.... it was hard to eat it all because we were full, but we didnt want to leave a bite behind! Our room was clean, comfy, and we loved the whole medieval atmosphere. The pool area is so cute, and the views from the whole property are breathtaking.

We were more than satisfied with our choice. Excellent value for money. Friendliness and perfect welcome. We will definitely be back.

We were there for dinner and the multi-course menu was an absolute highlight. Every single course was fantastic (especially the truffle pasta). The service and atmosphere were also sensational. We'd love to come back.

Situated on a splendid terrace among olive trees and woods, just a few kilometers from Spello, Bevagna, and Assisi, the Il Bastione farmhouse is truly an oasis of tranquility and beauty! The farmhouse has been meticulously renovated, and the ambiance is traditional and lush. Period furniture expertly decorates the bedrooms and common areas. But the highlight is undoubtedly the kitchen, where the prosciutto (the best I've ever eaten, in my opinion!), cured meats, and cheeses, all made on site, reign supreme. Ask to see the room where they age them. The rest of the dishes are also truly excellent, with special mention for the baked goods that make a delicious breakfast in the morning, not to mention the yogurt, which tastes like cream. A truly regenerating holiday in every sense. A very small complaint about the bathroom, perhaps a little in need of improvement (the toilet cord is unacceptable). They also excelled in the price, which was very fair for what they offer. Il Bastione is highly recommended.

This is already our third time back for the Christmas holidays. Luciano and Jacopo are perfect hosts, as are their staff. The location is fantastic, surrounded by olive trees, full of tranquility and energy. Jacopo's cuisine is top-notch. Their homemade olive oil is a 10.
