If you are visiting Spello I recommend going to eat at Taverna San Silvestro in Collepino, excellent food, very nice place, very friendly staff, more than good price, I recommend it 100%.

My partner was looking for a restaurant in the hills near Foligno and was inspired by the photos and descriptions of Taverna San Silvestro. So we called and booked, and we drove up a lovely, romantic road with a steep incline. We love hills, and that stunning landscape leading towards Mount Subasio was already a wonderful premise. When we arrived in the beautiful village of Collepino, we parked and set off. The view was breathtaking, the houses in the village decorated for Christmas in enchanting exposed stone, and you could feel the history. Then we went through the vault and entered the tavern, which was wonderful. The very kind and professional waiter accompanied us to the table with a lovely little stove behind it. We had lunch with mixed crostini, then tagliatelle and strangozzi with truffles, then sausages and grilled scamorza with truffles and Roman-style artichokes, and finally coffee and panna cotta with berries. All the dishes were made with excellent quality ingredients, generous portions, and it was a lunch we will never forget! I highly recommend it.

Typical, rustic, highly recommended! A unique and excellent tavern nestled in the charming village of Collepino. Traditional dishes and fresh ingredients are excellently prepared. A welcoming, traditional, family atmosphere, and Niky is very friendly and helpful. Organized, relaxed, and reasonably priced. They let our dog in with no problem. A round of liqueurs and coffee is offered. If you're not into gourmet cuisine and excessive prices, this is where you should refuel!
