01/03/2025: I was waiting for Google to prompt me to write the review on that one: IT IS A BOMB!!! 😍😍😍😍 We have been going to this amazing place since before it went through the recent refurbishment, which did not take away even a pinch of its previous charm but added kilos of class and sophistication, still leaving it though the most friendly and comfortable place to be. Let me tell you about the waiters first and their spoken menu; I listen to them like I was 6 years old listening to my parents reading me a fairytale. The staff is so skilled and so well trained, you start feeling enchanted the moment they open their mouth to recite the menu, and you’re salivating profusely by the time they finish. I adore the experience. And they are fluent in many languages so you can have your fairytale recited in the language you’re comfortable with. You sit by the glorious 200 years old open, stone fireplace and the smells from the kitchen creates a background to the waiter’s tales. But then there’s food…. I have had a privilege to work in high end hospitality in London for over 15 years and eat in the most fabulous places, Michelin rated or just simply good. But I tell you; a better thing than slow over night roasted pork belly here I have never eaten A NY WHERE. I dream about it, how it melts and falls apart, complimented by the silkiest mashed potatoes ever. All food is sourced locally, so is the delicious wine, and as an addition, in the summer, you eat at the terrace surrounded not only by breathtaking views but by chickens and peacocks who come to say hello. I love this place dearly and I wish them every success :) oh, and I don’t have pictures from there as I’m so preoccupied with food I forget about my phone!!!

21/01/2025: This wine tasting trip was easy to get to from Puerto de la Cruz, we used the local Titsa bus 345 or 351 which run frequently. It's only a few minutes walk from La Orotava bus station. The wine tasting was in English and we were hosted by the owner Janet and husband Jesus who were very welcoming and friendly. We have no experience in wine tasting, and opted for the "Abona" tasting. We enjoyed this very much, Janet informed us about the history and backgrounds of each wine, grapes and regions. We learned also how to assess each wine. The tasting lasted just over an hour and we very much enjoyed the experience, thoroughly recommend it. Thank you Janet and Jesus!

10/02/2025: Top carbonara (130 grams). Very good thin pizza, very good starter but I recommend the baby. Tiramisu also excellent! Ps..red beer less good today, maybe they changed it recently..

19/01/2025: Restaurant on the road that goes to Gubbio (Contessa), a historic place that attracts numerous loyal and passing customers, given its favorable position. The food offered is genuine, homemade, where the plating takes a back seat in favor of authenticity and concreteness. Essential but tidy setting. The affable and long-experienced manager although still young, smiling service even if a little hasty so as not to leave anyone behind. In short, a place that can be recommended, for a low final bill based on the general quality. Very large car park in front.

23/02/2025: Yesterday we had lunch in this truly welcoming place with truly friendly staff from the moment we entered... we come from Rome and we had a wonderful meal with the owner who was uniquely friendly and nice! Among the restaurants we tried on this splendid weekend for my birthday, we will certainly return to this beautiful, welcoming and exceptional place for the quality of the food. 23/02/2025: midweek dinner, restaurant in a well-kept historic building. kind and friendly staff. menus alongside the dish of the day proposed by the staff make the choice wide and satisfying. high quality of the products.. I recommend this restaurant to all those who stay in Gubbio!! 👍🏽

05/01/2025: Semplice, classico e gustoso. Taglieri con salumi e formaggi tipici con brustengo e crescia. Bella scelta di vini. Minuscolo e carino all’interno, ma ampliato da un gazebo di plastica in piazza che è un pugno in un occhio a Gubbio.

02/01/2025: Aperitivo con un buon vino locale e ottimo tagliere di salumi tipici e formaggi. Il titolare molto gentile ci ha dato consigli utili per la nostra serata, Consigliato !

05/02/2025: My friends and I had dinner here and were pleasantly surprised. I ordered an Irish Angus steak, I think it was the best meat I've eaten in my life! It was spectacular, tender, tasty and very large, accompanied by excellent fries. We shared the mixed starter which was also very good with some croutons, cold cuts and seasoned spelled in the centre. Paired with the dinner we had an excellent Montefalco red which we really enjoyed, and finally the service was very pleasant, friendly and professional waiters, and we also had the pleasure of meeting Fulvio in person for the payment, it was a must to compliment us on the excellent dinner! Absolutely worth doing again. Highly recommended because, moreover, the prices are really excellent considering the quality and size of the portions.

06/01/2025: Ottimo locale per chi cerca un ambiente informale e vuol rifocillarsi dopo un'escursione sul Monte Igino. Abbiamo avuto modo di apprezzare la cucina in passato e ci siamo tornati con un gruppo di amici camminatori. Il ragazzo al bar molto disponibile e gentilissimo il proprietario, che ci ha accolto al caldo durante una giornata piovosa. Torneremo.

16/09/2024: Delizioso locale nel centro di Gubbio dove gustare in tranquillità ottime bruschette al tartufo, una deliziosa ricotta proposta nel tagliere dei formaggi ed un meraviglioso Sagrantino. Gentilissima la ragazza ai tavoli, premurosa la proprietaria che si affaccia ripetutamente a sincerarsi che tutto proceda al meglio. Conto più che onesto, una sosta davvero piacevole!

01/02/2025: There were 3 of us. My amatriciana was very good, like a shoe, and my son's carbonara was also. You can feel that the pillow is of superior quality. My wife had the truffle menu which was good but not exciting. Courtesy and friendliness. Desserts normal. I didn't appreciate the tables being too close to each other.
