22/10/2024: The barley soup is what I can't stop thinking about - 5 months later! We stayed in Spello for a few days and came here twice just so I could have it again. The service was superb and the atmosphere quaint. Now I need the recipe :)

07/03/2025: We reserved the table for the last one and perhaps they would have told us that the restaurant was full. Only waiter in the room, also in charge of desserts, who unfortunately obviously could not maintain a service up to par and compatible with the image of the place which apparently seemed to be of a high standard. Good food, good wine list although many of the requested wines were not available. Closed white wine left at the table to warm up with the glasset served half an hour later once the wine is finished. Given the size of the place and the type of service, 3-4 waiters would certainly be needed. Very disappointing.

10/02/2025: The service has always been 5 stars, it immediately dropped to 1 star at the end of the dinner, when we had to wait before paying, because there was a couple drinking coffee at the counter in front of the cashier, then the employee (or owner, I can't know), at the cashier who was perhaps too stressed due to too much movement on a Sunday evening when the room was full, went into incandescence, at the simple question of information whether it was possible to pay in the TheFork app that we had a voucher, then some prices from From my point of view, €2.30 for a cover charge is not justifiable while in other pizzerias with €2 they give fabric tablecloths and everything else, oil, sauces, bread etc. Ditto €5 homemade desserts and chips for €4 but obviously it depends on the area, expenses etc. Everyone can put the prices they want, but patience and kindness should apply to everyone

02/02/2025: Ho trovato questo hotel di charme casualmente su Internet ed è stato amore a prima vista. Cercavo un luogo dove passare il Fine anno insieme ad amici.. eravamo tre famiglie con bambini. Già da subito durante le prenotazioni e gli scambi di mail Marco e sua moglie sono stati disponibili e gentili. Al nostro arrivo abbiamo trovato esattamente ciò che cercavamo..un posto che sembra casa con un grande spazio comune dove rilassarsi e giocare insieme davanti al fuoco. La nostra camera stupenda. Il ristornate di livello molto alto. Insomma tutto oltre le mie aspettative con una gentilezza che ormai purtroppo è fuori dal comune! Torneremo in primavera per vedere le vostre meravigliose ortensie 😉

23/03/2025: Non ci siamo, attratti dalla vetrina dove fanno capolino tanti biscotti artigianali, ne abbiamo comprati diversi tipi . Arrivati a casa e provati, alcuni sono freschi altri più vecchi e secchi dello stesso tipo. L unica che meritava era la torta di pasqua, veramente buona. Pasticceria no assolutamente

25/03/2025: I had a nice evening. I had a hamburger that was good. I don't question the quality of the meat, however I didn't like the bitter taste due to cooking. The service is punctual and fast; I would have given 5 stars if the staff had also been smiling but this depends on how the service is organized. The place is big, the employees are few and perhaps they are not even paid enough so I understand that there is little to be happy about.

23/03/2025: Sono stata oggi a Sapori di Stelle e sono stata molto bene: buono il menù, servizio veloce e impeccabile location curata e pulita, prezzi giusti. Tre anni fa non ho avuto lo stesso trattamento, ora sicuramente tornerò con piacere

14/02/2025: The location is great if you are travelling I was here for a business trip and I found it in a very good position to reach the road without wasting time for traffic. The only reason I've put 4 stars is that the restaurant was closed and there are no nearby restaurants which they didn't tell me beforehand

11/03/2025: Experience to forget! Completely unacceptable environment, from the dirt to the food to the service. As soon as we entered, the desire to eat immediately disappeared. Not to mention the bathroom; as soon as you enter the soybean there is a dirty armchair for who knows how many years and the door didn't even close with the key... Inaccessible to say the least!

03/02/2025: A nice restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, the ingredients were fresh. The place was clean and tidy. We had the pinsa and they tasted well. The pinsa bread were well crafted. The food were served fast and warm. Recommended👍🏻

08/12/2024: Allora in un Assisi colma di misticismo e offerte culinarie A ca’ di Bacco e’ stata una bellissima sorpresa. Atmosfera calda con musica di qualità di sottofondo. Alta qualità di cibo e vino . Le focacce farcite ( guanciale e caciotta di tartufo la mia preferite ) accompagnate da un ottimo Montefalco o birra umbra ti scaldano le ossa e il cuore, I gestori , l’accoglienza discreta e piacevole di chi ama il proprio mestiere. Consiglio caldamente, anche in gruppo per convivere diversi taglieri di salumi e formaggi di ottima qualità. A presto

02/03/2025: Siamo stati a pranzo da casina Kitch, trovato per caso. Un posto molto accogliente e il proprietario è una persona veramente educata e gentile, oltre che molto simpatico e alla mano.Abbiamo mangiato le crocchette di patate fatte a mano da loro, veramente squisite. Poi abbiamo mangiato due hamburger con patatine, tutto davvero buonissimo e raccomandabile. Prezzo giustissimo! Ci torneremo sicuramente. Grazie!

06/04/2025: I don't know the Massimo of 'before' but the one of today, I say this because I have read some negative reviews, a bit here and a bit there, among the comments online, on the main social networks, and in the local press, a very 'skimpy' number tell of a menu no longer up to the level of the past! Since I was a child, I remember hearing about this restaurant several times, from friends, family and acquaintances, in an uninterrupted loop: "Massimo al lago (...) Massimo al lago (...)"! Personally I must say that Da Massimo you can eat tasty local cuisine at a truly honest price. The tasting menu, which is 90% and perhaps even more of the dishes that come out of the kitchen, includes a simple but genuine cold seafood appetizer, a series of hot seafood courses, two very abundant first courses, such as spaghetti allo scoglio and gnocchi agli scampi, lemon sorbet to cleanse the palate, followed by, as second courses, a sufficient fried seafood and a grilled seafood, also with breadcrumbs, dessert, digestive and/or coffee at the price of €38.00, €40.00 on holidays, what more could you want? It is certainly not fine dining but it has its reasons! Recommended for those looking for substance and not appearance!

05/04/2025: Unfortunately, it's sad to say but it's a far cry from the "Massimo" that made him famous throughout the area. We are, or rather were, regular customers, and for the sake of objectivity we must say that the dishes remained as good as in the past. The disappointing aspect is the prices, in particular on Christmas Eve we ordered 6 portions of their famous scampi cream to take away, totaling 112 euros. Ok the special evening, ok inflation, price increases and everything else, but charging more per portion for a takeaway sauce than the equivalent full first course consumed on site is truly absurd. I didn't point it out at the checkout because for me seriousness still comes first, so we paid as we should and goodbye. Too bad, from decades-long customers.
