13/10/2025: We enjoyed a thoroughly enjoyable break at the Hotel Alpenrose. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, and the wellness area was a dream. We participated in two guided hikes and a bike tour. The guides were also very knowledgeable. A big thank you. We would be happy to recommend you.

07/11/2025: A cold welcome. I arrived to spend a relaxing weekend at the Bonfanti Hotel in early November. When I checked in, I was given no explanation regarding opening hours, the location of the spa, pool, etc., or the dining room. I entered my room and was pleasantly surprised to find three windows open. I didn't worry and closed everything before heading off to find the spa. When I returned, the room was still cold. I tried to fix it with the thermostat, but with little success. I called reception for an explanation and they told me they would fix it from the control panel. I went downstairs for dinner (nothing exciting), and when I came back up, it was still cold. I went downstairs again to ask for clarification, at which point Mrs. Maria sent the technician to me. As she came up the stairs, she calmly stated that she had already turned off the heating because "we're closing next week anyway." I spent the next two days in a room that wasn't as warm as I would have liked, partly because the floor maids apparently had a passion for leaving all the windows open every morning. The front desk never bothered to check if the temperature had been adjusted. Closing the cold chapter, on the last day, due to the rain, I asked to stay for a couple of hours at the pool WITHOUT A ROOM (since the sauna area opens at 3 PM). I was charged €25 for spa access. Amenities of a two-star hotel, without a single conditioner or body lotion. The snack buffet had barely anything. Guys, for a four-star hotel, there's a lot to improve. The only positive note was Natalia's massage; she truly has golden hands.

12/10/2025: Oh, it's so beautiful there! Very pleasant atmosphere, quiet; perhaps the beams, pillars, upholstery, and old, rough plaster seem to muffle the sound of conversation. Very nice and friendly staff and absolutely fantastic food. We felt very comfortable. They serve Forst beer, but unfortunately, there are no alternatives from smaller breweries...

08/10/2025: The food here is delicious and exceptional, and prices are fair...but if you're looking for good, home-style cooking, you're in the wrong place. Very friendly staff, beautiful ambiance.

The professional and welcoming staff, along with the owners' attention to detail, are always available and extremely kind, making our holidays here unforgettable. We've found "our refuge" to always live up to our expectations.

13/10/2025: What a hotel! We stayed here for 3 nights as part of our honeymoon, and from the moment we arrived it was absolutely stunning. We were greeted and shown around and given the choice of 2 rooms which was such a pleasant surprise but a tough choice! The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking and we never tired of it - waking up in the morning to the Dolomites was something else and seeing the silhouette of the moon was equally as impressive. The location is great for various ski lifts as well as numerous hikes. Just as impressive as the view has to be the food that's served as part of the half board. Everything that is served is fresh, tasteful and so well presented, it's safe to say this was our favourite place we ate on our honeymoon. There was a choice each night of a meat, fish or vegetable option so you could always be happy with what you were getting. One day we will be back as the service, views, food and room were all second to none and we absolutely loved our stay!

10/09/2025: This is a small, family-run hotel with a good number of facilities but stunning views of the mountains. As with most families, we stayed half-board and it was great. I'm a somewhat fussy eater but when a dish contained something I didn't like (coffee or celery for example) they could exclude it. The Michelin chef clearly knows their stuff as every dish was delicious, if not a little fussy. The menu changes each night. Breakfast was a served buffet affair and absolutely fine for what it is. We had a junior suite on the top floor and although we suffered a fair number of bangs to the head (being well over 6' doesn't help) the room was lovely. We didn't draw the curtains as waking up to the mountain view cannot be beaten. The town has a few cafés and restaurants if you are looking for a meal away from the hotel. It's a 100m climb (around 2km to the centre) but a fairly gentle slope up. Would happily stay here again and indeed plan to.

28/10/2025: Excellent home-cooked dishes, a rustic atmosphere, and truly reasonable prices. The menu is generally fixed but includes a bit of everything. The potato tortelli are excellent, the braised meat is delicious, and the ribs are exceptional. We had a great time.

27/10/2025: If I could, I'd give it 10 stars! I used to come here when I worked in these beautiful areas! I returned with family and friends after a few years, and it feels like time has stood still! The owners are incredibly sweet and kind; the lady cooks divinely, and the gentleman is not only sweet and helpful, but incredibly tender! The cuisine isn't superb, but more so: plentiful and of exceptional, superior, unique quality...typical of a mountain refuge! The prices are more than fair, €30 per person including drinks for a menu that never ends. The appetizers are incredible: the meat is fresh and tender, the beef is firm, and the carpaccio is something you'll remember for a lifetime. The first courses are exceptional: the canederli are traditional Trentino dumplings (the cheese ones are a delight!), and the second courses (for those who haven't had enough before) are exquisite; the braised beef in Barolo is so tender it melts in your mouth! The grappas are excellent, also strictly handmade! When we pass by these places again, we'll definitely stop here! Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends; they're not always open during the week. It's family-run! Update: We returned at the end of October 2025 and I can say that the quality is still the same, as is the kindness of the staff and "Mr. Baffo," who remains the star of the place! The price of the full menu has been increased by €5, now costing €35; still, it's a more than fair price for the quantity and quality of the products.

06/10/2025: We only stopped for a short break during the Sasso Lungo/Sasso Piatto loop. The view is truly fantastic. It's worth stopping just to enjoy the view. Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed with the pretzel I ordered. It was probably frozen and they microwaved it for too long or at the wrong power. The fact is, it was burned inside in some places and toasted in others.

02/12/2025: The superior quality of this pastry shop can be divided into three categories: First, in the product: all artisanal, with excellent combinations of classic and innovative flavors. Raw materials clearly carefully selected and expertly crafted. A delight for the palate. Second, in the presentation and the attention to detail and cleanliness of the premises. A delight for the eyes. Third, in the kindness of the girls who always welcome you with a smile... A delight for the heart. Three delights squared deserve 6 stars... Alas, we can only give them 5 and add... BRAVO!

A menu prepared with quality ingredients, excellent presentation, a courteous and professional welcome, all combined with a TRUE experience of integration and inclusion. 02/11/2025: By far the best Rifugio we stayed at. The food was spectacular. It was a great launching off point for multiple hikes. And it was an absolute delight to have a hot shower. I highly recommend staying here.
