Very kind and helpful staff, only flaw is the volume of the music a little too high inside..but highly recommended for those who want gluten-free pizza (and not) in Ortisei!!

23/04/2025: Small place but so much stuff! Polite, approachable and very friendly staff. Food 100!!! All really very good!!! The crostini with lard... The cold cuts... The carne salada... The beans... The giardiniera prepared with spectacular courgettes... The mini tortels!!! The dumplings were good but the barley, radicchio and teroldego were mouth-watering! Then cut, very soft ribs, wow braised meat and polenta! To finish, bread cake and panna cotta with strawberry jam... A unique satisfaction for the palate and the aromas 😍😍😍

27/06/2025: We went for the tasting menu on June 25th, offered at €67 per couple instead of €100. The menu was divided into 5 courses, if you can call them that: 1) a small bowl of edamame (ridiculous that it is included as a course) 2) 4 rolls (per person, in the photo the dish was to be shared) 3) 6 slices of salmon sashimi in beetroot extract (no photo) 4) two mini burgers to be shared 5) 9 slices of wagyu steak. First of all, they talk about a tasting menu for couples, but each dish they brought had to be shared as if the menu was for a single person. The flavors of the food were absolutely mediocre, absolutely below the average of the much less expensive ayce restaurants. The avocado in every dish was unripe. The salmon was completely tasteless if it weren't for that beetroot extract that I personally didn't like as a pairing. In general, it's also difficult to comment on the dissatisfaction that struck us after the meal. When we talk about tasting menus we are referring to a series of dishes that, no matter how small the portions, leave you satisfied in the end and not with a hole in your stomach. In addition, although I appreciated the decor of the place, the music was very loud (personally I don't like it when I have to eat), the waiters were normal except that half of the beetroot juice ended up on the table when the waitress came to take the plate without them noticing, but for goodness sake it can happen. It is definitely a place for those who identify with the cool category and who ultimately don't even care much about sushi. For those who go to eat good sushi, the place is absolutely not recommended in my personal opinion. Price of the experience €74 with water and covers (unspeakable, it was a joke knowing the food cost and having experience in restaurants). So empty and dissatisfied that after dinner we went to the Chinese rotisserie La Perla d’Oriente which is practically right in front and which for €10 gets you ravioli, soy spaghetti with vegetables and a nice second course. That one is highly recommended!

12/05/2025: I too would do as someone who said that they would like not to praise Mr. Luigi and his activity too publicly, but to be honest I really think I have to write my opinion which - from what I read - does not differ from what many other people have already said. I met Mr. Luigi almost 9 months ago, by pure chance and on the recommendation of my cousin's husband. I was looking for a butcher's shop that made sausages like they used to and, to my great surprise, I was catapulted into a world different from the usual butcher's shops. I thought I'd order what I needed and go out but instead...! I listened, enchanted and for I don't know how long, to the story of Mr. Luigi's philosophy, who manages the materials he uses in a totally different way from other butchers and delicatessens. I admired Mr. Luigi, who over the years was able to keep faith with his very particular ideas, resisting many difficulties, because at the beginning few people understood him, but with the support of his family, who had slightly conflicting needs with the long time needed for the business to establish itself. I tasted its various cured meats and discovered preparations with very little salt and lots of flavour. What can I say! For a person used to entering a "normal" shop it was definitely a shock, but extremely pleasant, so much so that I returned several times and I really think I will return as long as Mr. Luigi manages his business. Then, what can I say, I finally discovered one of the few shops - perhaps the only one! - who in the valley makes apple strudel really "like in the old days", like my mother, born in Mezzano, used to make: crazy pasta and not the usual and anonymous greasy and overly sweetened puff pastry, local apples, with little sugar. For me, half a Primier and above all a greedy adorer of old-fashioned strudel (which I can't make at home because I don't have adequate space to roll out the dough), it was another surprise, so I took the strudel for myself and also brought it to a cousin's family. Congratulations, therefore, also to Mrs. Simonetta, who I hope will continue to make many, many strudels for years to come. Then I wouldn't forget the milk grappa! My hometown partner isn't used to alcohol, but that grappa didn't create the slightest "alcoholic" problem for me! Deduction? That was also very well made, with quality products. Of course, you pay a little more for everything, but at least you can taste all the real flavors and you don't end up with a palate ruined by too much salt, too much sugar and too many chemicals! in conclusion, thank you Mr. Luigi and Mrs. Simonetta! Continue like this, also because it seems to me that you have now won over a good number of customers, from the valley and also from outside the valley. See you on my next vacation, we will definitely see each other! I forgot: I will absolutely have to thank my cousin and her husband who introduced me to your business

28/03/2025: Delicious pizza! Truly authentic Italian – just the way it should be. Thin, tasty crust (which is surprisingly rare!), flavorful ingredients, and no thick, dry edges. Some might be surprised by the smaller amount of toppings compared to what you get in other places, but in my opinion, a proper Italian pizza shouldn't be overloaded to the point where toppings fall off every slice. Here, everything is well-balanced and full of taste. The staff is very friendly – ​​both the waitress and the pizzaiolo. The place has a warm, homey atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer. Low prices like in Tonale, no queue to the table. Coperto 2 euros. Highly recommend the speck and solandra pizza – absolutely fantastic! Delicious pizza! True Italian – exactly as it should be. Thin, tasty dough (which is rare!), aromatic ingredients and no dry, thick edges. Some people may be surprised by the smaller number of toppings compared to pizza from Poland, but in my opinion, a good Italian pizza should not resemble a casserole where everything falls off in the first bite. Here, every ingredient has meaning and taste. Very nice service - both the waitress and the pizzaiolo - you can communicate in English. In addition, there is a homely, cozy atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer. Low prices for Tonale, no queues for a table. Coperto 2 euros. I recommend the speck pizza and solandra.

21/06/2025: Place rated 10, 1500 house that exudes tradition. Food rated 10, all fresh (no frozen), authentic, good and right portions. Staff rated 10, fast, attentive and very friendly, the lady who serves the tables very kind even in suggesting the dishes, the cooks fast in the preparation and the owner who seeing us in difficulty to return to our campsite gave us a big hand. I absolutely recommend it and I will definitely return!!

21/06/2025: The best restaurant to eat in the Pejo area. The products are not frozen like other restaurants or pizzerias in the area, the portions are generous and very good, I ate the shin and the blueberry risotto and they were spectacular!!!.....the staff is very fast and courteous, the owner is a very respectful person and very attentive to the well-being of his customers. You can't go to Val del Sole without passing by this historic restaurant.

08/07/2025: We LOVED this hotel. The rooms were amazing; spacious, clean, large bathroom, views, very clean. Really just wonderful. I strongly recommend both dinner and breakfast. They had a wide choice of very good meals and the service was excellent. The staff was also very helpful. Couldn't ask for anything better.

07/07/2025: Located right in front of the Sassolungo cable car (over 2000m above sea level) The best location with a view of Sassolungo from the hotel (room) The room is very clean, the bedding is comfortable and good, and the large windows give a good sense of openness. The wellness area is also good. It is not fancy overall, but I feel that the staff manages it well. The breakfast buffet is good. If I had to pick one drawback, it would be that there is no free bottled water provided to guests, so you have to buy it or buy it at the market. Considering the high-altitude hotel location and the room price, I think there should be at least free bottled water.
