Only went for coffee but could've stayed for lunch!

Invited for an aperitif on Friday evening, we discovered a place full of meaning and values. The welcome and service were excellent. The food, paired with Val di Cembra wines, was very good, and the presentation was truly professional. These are "investments" worth supporting and promoting. Well done to the staff and all the young people. A perfect, five-star evening. Fausto and Cinzia.

Everything about this place is beautiful and just the way it should be everywhere else. Not only was the food amazing. The whole project is just what society needs. I wish places like this would exist more often. While we were staying it felt like everyone (customers and staff) were smiling and having a good time. Which wasn’t the case in most of the (more or less) fancy restaurants we visited during the last days of our holiday. Thank you guys for cheering on my hope in humanity. Grazie mille! <3

Simple food, two or three ingredients that make up a perfectly cooked and harmonious dish. We ordered two first courses (€8 each), pasta with zucchini and Philadelphia (which isn't a local cheese, but it paired beautifully with the pasta and zucchini) and gnocchi with tomato confit. For the second course (€8.50 each), a melted cheese (which, while it's fair to say you get bored with it after a while, I didn't get bored at all) accompanied by polenta and sautéed cabbage (a mix of the two side dishes available for €3.50) plus a tender and flavorful braised beef, also accompanied by the side dish mix. Free cold water, two coffees (€1.10 each), and a slice of soft and slightly warm carrot cake (€4); €1 per person. Grauno, the last village on the right side of the Cembra Valley, but the highest of all (968 m), presents itself as a small village now with few inhabitants, but still very lively and active, perched on the southern slope of Dosso del Colle, with steep and well-kept streets and squares made of beautiful locally produced porphyry. It was the birthplace of Father Atanasio Cristifori (1885-1961, Franciscan friar), who wrote his major work "Medicinal Plants and Herbs of the Trento Region," becoming known as the "herb friar."

Excellent food, generous portions, very fair prices. Excellent service, and a big thank you to those who promote local culture and inclusion like this truly welcoming place.
