16/05/2026: This charming little restaurant with its romantic outdoor setting is an absolute must. The heart and soul of this culinary gem is the joviale Simone with his great knowledge of local products and areas. The quality of the food was truly excellent (I recommend the Gnudi Alla Florentina). A truly enjoyable and memorable evening during our Tuscan tour.

23/05/2026: Lessen provided amazing service. My wife and I are here with my mother in law and we had the best food we have ever ate in Italy. He made our ribeye in front of us, he gave us a whole lesson on the different meats. He was very friendly. He made our experience so nice. This was the best meal and service we had in Italy. We’ve been all over and he goes above and beyond.
22/05/2026: If you want to try authentic Tuscan cuisine, this is the place to go. The food is delicious, the service is excellent, and the prices are reasonable. The chef even comes to your table personally and chats with you! Highly recommended!

06/04/2026: We went for dinner in April and it was absolutely magical! The sunset from the restaurant is beautiful, and the dinner was truly amazing, with delicious food and an open fireplace. The setting is intimate and the service is delightful. Highly recommended.

31/05/2026: Our experience at Osteria di Brolio was simply impeccable. The service was warm, the welcome perfect, and the food wonderful. We chose the tasting menu, with wines and dishes perfect in every detail. We especially want to highlight Serena, who welcomed us with a genuine smile and made everything even more special. Congratulations to the entire team, but a special mention to her for her care and professionalism!
31/05/2026: Brunello dei barbi was my best fattoria but after this experience it is just unbeatable! Every single wine is just perfect. The lunch is paired with a full glass of each of their best wine! It just became my preferred wine of all times!!!

20/04/2026: With a group of friends, heading out for the Eroica by motorbike, we stopped at this restaurant located in the pedestrian center of Gaiole.
The service, the quality of the food, and the outdoor setting were perfect. A small criticism of the quantity, which is why I only gave it 4 stars... a few more forkfuls, given the type of guests (all, or almost all, for the same reason), wouldn't have hurt.
I absolutely recommend it!!!

23/04/2026: We got pizza here after being disappointed with dinner at our hotel. We stopped by on a whim, didn't have to wait long, and had a friendly encounter! The pizza tasted excellent, and our evening was saved! 😄
08/04/2026: We had pizza napoli and margarita, and both were super tasty! Short walking distance from the campervan parking.

14/12/2025: We ordered two Negronis, which were listed at €5 each on the menu, and a bowl of Ascoli olives listed at €3. Despite this, the final bill was €22, with a €9 difference that we couldn't figure out where it came from. The only thing we hadn't specifically ordered were some rather old chips brought with our drinks, which perhaps were charged without any communication.
The overall experience wasn't a positive one: the place, despite it being a Saturday night, was completely empty, and much of the food listed on the menu was no longer available, except for the fried food. Furthermore, when we entered, there was a strong smell of cigarettes, meaning someone had been smoking in the dining room.
All things considered, I wouldn't recommend this place.

07/04/2026: Beautiful winery in the heart of Chianti Classico. The tasting tour with three wines is a great way to understand the history of the winery and the three labels they produce. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable.

12/04/2026: A restaurant in the heart of Chianti, located near the site of a former monastery, with breathtaking views of the Chianti and Valdarno valleys. The restaurant is simple, clean, and well-maintained. The menu is consistent with Chianti restaurants, although there are regionally inspired dishes that aren't typically Tuscan (e.g., beetroot risotto). The first courses and the estate's selection of wines were excellent, as was the friendliness of the wait staff, although we did wait—perhaps a bit too long—for the first courses. Excellent value.

L'Osteria di Spaltenna

03/06/2026: Castello di Spaltenna makes a striking first impression: its location in the Tuscan hills is stunning, and the pool is fantastic. Architecturally, the property is truly exceptional and full of character.
The staff is consistently friendly and attentive.
However, considering the high price point, there are a few aspects that fall short. The gym has equipment that isn't working – this simply shouldn't happen at a resort of this caliber. Even more disappointing: the beds consist of two single beds pushed together. At these prices, this is simply unacceptable.
The restaurant also leaves much to be desired. The prices are high, but the quality is, at best, average. Pre-packaged items like tortellini don't fit the ambiance or the price point – one expects significantly more.

25/04/2026: Food? You're going to spend money at a place where, instead of remaking it in the kitchen, the staff licks off the excess sauce. I've seen behind the scenes in the kitchen and know the people who work there; you're going to eat where the food probably passed through the staff's mouths before reaching your plate.

29/07/2025: Simone and Alessio are amazing hosts and they have created a truly special place. The whole house is beautifully decorated with so much attention to detail, the rooms are great and there is also a wonderful garden to relax. If you have the chance, stay on a Saturday and join them for dinner, it's absolutely delicious and the atmosphere is great. I can't recommend this place enough and I will definitely come back.
